Whenever there’s a charming actress fronting a survival horror flick, it is my duty to do a write-up about her. Porcelain-skin cutie EMMA BELL steps into the role of a snowboard enthusiast who faces a harrowing fight for her life against the elements in the chilling thriller ‘FROZEN’. To be stuck up a gondola during winter with no signs of help is the stuff of NIGHTMARES and i for one do not ever want to be caught in this terrifying situation. The All To Real ‘It Could Happen To You’ premise is precisely why i’ve pinned high hopes for this film and as one of the leads, EMMA BELL commands a most enthralling performance. Enduring harsh cold weather including dangerous blizzards and weeks of isolation, EMMA went out of her way to be thoroughly convincing in her role as a traumatised women crying out for help; the slow feeling of helplessness slowly engulfing and eventually leading to desperation (The movie has an awesome trailer i’m so in awe of).
There’s no doubt that HOLLYWOOD still set the standards and the sparkling quality of actresses over there are some of the finest i’ve ever seen. EMMA has worked extensively on TV (she’s in DOLLHOUSE….woohoo!) and also made her mark in the inspirational soccer tale ‘GRACIE’. I support soccer with such fervour that ‘GRACIE’ would be in the list of my fav movies! Watching EMMA BELL in that movie was amazing or maybe it’s my ‘Blonde Complex’ rearing its head once again. On a more serious note, i can say that EMMA BELL is a Star Of The Future; flawlessly gorgeous with the acting chops to back it up….:)
