Like an Andy Warhol print, LAUREN LAKIS is a kaleidoscopic of personalities whether she’s making a splash as a model or being vibrantly in character as an actress. On September 14th, viewers get to catch this dazzler in the Midnight Madness Entry “Lovely Molly” at TIFF 2011. It is yet another tension-filled supernatural nightmare that’s guaranteed to be mystifyingly scary. Having co-director Eduardo Sanchez at the helm, expect the chills to be in the vein of “The Blair Witch Project”!. There’s of course newcomer Gretchen Lodge as the lead, the perennial cutie Alexandra Holden and of course as mentioned upcoming starlet LAUREN LAKIS herself rounding out an eclectic cast. As the crafty Kitty Crane, she directs tough questions at protagonist Jason DeVanity, cleverly trying to dig up dirt in the process. One can see how she relishes embodying a character that rubs people the wrong way. This summer, JUDITH has already shown how imposingly saucy she can be as Shoshanna in “Frents” aka “Friends For Rent” on Youtube. The statuesque actress tantalizes throughout (that she surely does even off set) and of course how can we not be transfixed on her deliciously buxom figure (watch the Pool Party episode and you’ll be wanting to give her a hug too..hehe). Things can only get hotter for JUDITH since she’s set to play a host of characters in “Electric City”, the highly-anticipated animated series from the brilliant mind of acclaimed actor Tom Hanks. It’s been a long time coming for a tough as nails blonde with a devious edge to blow our minds onscreen. In 2009, we had the gratification of watching brunettes America Olivo, Julia Voth and redhead Erin Cummings Bitch Slap each other endlessly. The advent of NINA BERGMAN as the spicy villainess of upcoming indie “The Wayshower” represents the return to form of Femme Fatales who deliver smackdowns courtesy of their fists. With a surreal Donnie Darko-like vibe, a much coveted ancient book of power and the hero of the hour by the name of JESUS, it’s the age-old theme of Good Vs Evil we always get a kick out of. Sensually feral, NINA is delightfully wicked as the Violent Vixen alongside perennial creepy dude Peter Stormare and the duo make for an insidious pair indeed. Aside from acting, this Danish looker’s accomplishments extends to the modeling and singing planes too. She’s rivetingly loud to the senses as lead singer of alternative rock band Dead Rose Beauty and I was amazed to find out that her manager is the legendary Paul Anka! I have a feeling by virtue of those lingerie shots (above), it’s highly likely she’s a Sex Symbol in her native Denmark as well as in the minds of her hardcore fans. When the indie horror ‘PERKINS 14′ introduced SHAYLA BEESLEY, one could already see the makings of a genuine talent in our midst. SHAYLA was vividly engaging from her kissing scene to the riveting escape from brainwashed lunatics and right up to the agonizing end of the movie. She’s already lauded for her role as a teenager coming to grips with her growing sexuality and trying to fit in the cool, popular clique at her school in the fascinatingly raunchy ‘SEX AND THE USA’. An emerging darling of the indie scene, SHAYLA has a beauty comparable to a young ANGELINA JOLIE (check her out as a sultry peroxide blonde above). Add model and bassist/vocalist of the electro alternative band Beezlewood to her resume and you have a very prodigious performer!
