Canadian Vixen: Jodie Dowdall

Ever so often, we give plaudits to the rising talents of Canada and the charming JODIE DOWDALL is a svelte brunette everyone should know about. Having recently heard how nice fellow Canadian Emily VanCamp, star of TV series “Revenge” is on set (one of her co-stars vouches that she is extremely down to earth and as lovely in personality as she is on screen), you’ll find those same qualities in JODIE. She did warmed many a heart as social worker Nancy in the Hallmark Original “The Santa Suit”. As the love interest of Kevin Sorbo’s greedy CEO turned Santa Claus in this tender drama, JODIE lines herself up as a would-be apple of one’s eye with ease. It’s agreeable that this actress/model is an ample delight, the honesty of her acting markedly enjoyable.

Her other credits include appearances in “Queer as Folk”, “Earth Final Conflict” and “The Newsroom”. She’s also the leading lady in the ultra-violent “Dead Dreams” which has been labeled as gross because of its unnerving tooth extraction scenes. Heading into much more disturbing territory, JODIE’s journey as a murder victim sees her amnesiac husband trying to piece together the horrific event. There’s elements of Memento and Groundhog Day, as slowly but surely the pieces fall into place. Once more JODIE plays a pivotal role and she’s a big part of the thriller’s focus on its mysterious events. With her shining in both lighter and darker fare, JODIE’s days as a budding starlet is already in motion.

Hot Aussie Temptress Of Summer: Kirsty Lee Allan

If there’s one Australian gal that can quickly ignite a dude’s primal instincts, it’s the delectably Buxom KIRSTY LEE ALLAN. As Seaman Chief Rebecca ‘Bomber’ Brown in the hit Aussie Drama “Sea Patrol”, she’s the pinnacle of refreshing warmth yet maintains a sauciness that’s undeniable. Of course, many will point to her bikini scene at a pool (see above) that has the same lust-inducing effect as Pheobe Cates in the red two-piece from “Fast Times At Ridgemont High”. KIRSTY may have opted for the cleavage-friendly blue variety but there’s no discounting that her ample bosom plays a big part in boosting her sex appeal. She readily admits she’s a little shy about her huge boobs on the petite frame of hers but I can bet no one’s complaining. She may have left “Sea Patrol” for the bright lights of LA but TV fans surely can’t get her out of their minds. Get intoxicated by the skimpily-clad photo spread of KIRSTY IN RALPH MAGAZINE…how I’m wishing the Australian Lifestyle Mag was available in stores worldwide! Most recently, KIRSTY appeared in the amusing short “Sheep Impact” with Steven Seagal and from the moment she’s onscreen, her naturally mesmerizing glow is apparent even if she’s modestly dress this time around. Incredibly, Seagal’s a chick magnet with the knack for attracting the ladies and KIRSTY more than fulfills the hottie criteria.

From the moment she was the object of lust as Sharona on the profanity-fueled wacky Aussie Comedy Series “Fat Pizza” and right up to her “Sea Patrol” days, KIRSTY has been eye-catching every step of the way! While we may not get to lay eyes on KIRSTY as often since she’s still settling down in LA after her move from Sydney, this is one starlet we want to get an eyeful’s worth in the near future. What a way to kick-off this Summer’s Countdown of Bikini Hotties starting with a Seductive Sheila such as Miss KIRSTY LEE ALLAN!

Hot Actress #487 – Leslie Garbett: Rising Starlet

Thankfully the emergence of indie horror films with females being the central focus have created a genre on their own with some calling it the rise of Feminist Horror. Exploitation hasn’t gone the way of the dinosaur but more and more, we get to revel in solid stories of the terror persuasion that for once doesn’t just bank on eye candy. Granted the women in “The Descent” were gorgeous yet they virtually drove the excellent story thereby creating a classic! Lucky McKee’s “Offspring” and its sequel “The Woman” uses its wildly, cannibalistic femme fatale to shocking effect. In the same resonating mold, “In The Pines” reminds me of “Carrie”, only this time jitters of the visceral kind take the place of telekinetic mayhem! Check out the spine-tingling trailer (above); The image of leading lady LESLIE GARBETT in the throes of a blood feast is as chilling as iconic Sissy Spacek all drenched in crimson red. The movie’s tagline says ‘Daddy’s Issues Are A Bitch’ or is it a case of cabin fever, a nightmare relived or even a murderous rampage. One thing is certain “In The Pines” has one of the coolest trailers around. Slick in its execution, the leads tread the disturbing gush of emotions convincingly with LESLIE a riveting vision in the most unsettling of ways.

If these are any indication of things to come, I’m sold and LESLIE is clearly a fantastic prospect. Being a stuntwoman as well, she’s in peak physical form and I also hereby proclaim her intense attractiveness.
