Latin Vixen: Ivet Corvea

The Dawn of a new wave of exploitation queens is upon us and Cuban Princess IVET CORVEA is rapidly emerging as a symbol of female virility on film. Amassing a track record of strong performances in some of the vilest subject matter, conventions are thrown out of the window as soon as the debauchery happens onscreen. Her villainous antics as bisexual rapist Marla in “Run! Bitch Run!” earned IVET a respected notoriety; her arousal by way of forced feet sucking and her uninhibited lesbian love scenes celebrating some of the more sordid instances. For someone so nasty, IVET was every bit as polished when invoking the depraved attitude of her character Marla, excelling from start to finish as the immoral femme fatale. Her appearance in the grindhouse feature “Nude Nuns With Big Guns” didn’t shy away from the explicit raunchiness and degradation, its treatment towards women of the cloth as they are abused left, right and center make for one disturbing viewing! Hot on the heels of religious-themed horrors is “Bloody Bloody Bible Camp” which has IVET in a starring role, only this time, there’s a serial killer wearing a habit who is the desecrater of human lives….this NUN is not one to be messed with!

Right now you can catch her on the digital front in the web series “They Live Among Us” as the prostitute Serafina in a tale of gothic romance and fallen angels. IVET has a unique sex appeal, her luscious curls forming one of many highly attractive assets and one has to check out Episode 2 (above) with her as Serafina to notice her radiance. In this role, she’s shown her adeptness in taking viewers on a rollercoaster of emotions, expressing herself capably as a tortured soul. She’s clearly a versatile actress but if she continues to dazzle in exploitation films, IVET could become as popular as some of the genre’s finest such as Pam Grier and Dyanne Thorne.

Sizzling Cutie: Melissa Paulo

Many would have already found rising starlet MELISSA PAULO pretty scrumptious after catching her in the McDonalds McRibs Commercial way back in ’08. Her yummy status is set to thrive in 2011 since she’s spicing up both the television series “Femme Fatales” and MTV’s “Death Valley”. She did mesmerize at the recent Comic Con and from the photos I’ve seen, MELISSA is hands down a Living Doll. A model from Hawaii, her ethnicity comprises a bewitching mix of Japanese-Filipino plus slivers of European nationalities; let’s just say MELISSA is too bewitching not to be thoroughly captivated. She uses that very sexy quality to great effect on the episode “Girls Gone Dead” from “Femme Fatales” as a sorority girl who gains the ultimate revenge on a porn mogul, an obvious nod to sleazy Girls Gone Wild head honcho Joe Francis. MELISSA may have played the bookwormish Erida but there’s something dangerous brewing when the black-rimmed glasses and clothes come off. Clearly MELISSA is a delight from the get-go, at first as the innocent, smart girl and revealing her true colors as the seductress/killer. And just like she says in one of her scenes, we men can’t resist her and that’s so true even when she’s out of character.

All this means we have to keep our eyes peeled for this honey in the first two episodes of “Death Valley” premiering August 29th. In the meantime you can catch her in two web series, the Angels vs Demons “Soul Fire Rising” and the 4-part pilot “House Of Heather”. MELISSA’s gorgeous, come-hither brown eyes and tropical exotic look without question adds to her mystique. I must admit the coyness she displays in her roles is so fascinating. It’s always nice to feature striking personalities of our era and MELISSA has done her bit in getting us gushing over her.

Hot Web Vixen Of Summer: Kari Lee Cartwright

Continuing my Asian Angels Theme this week, let’s shine the spotlight on the vivacious KARI LEE CARTWRIGHT who is making waves in “Boom Chick Boom!”. This series of sketchisodes as they are so endearingly called has KARI and fellow actresses Fredericka Meek, Samantha Figura, among others delivering hilarity straight off the web. KARI is the Chameleonic Comic embodying a variety of guises from neurotic boyfriend seeker to a bearded Iron Chef-like reality host. Don’t miss the Season Finale of “Boom Chick Boom” as the girls take on Katy Perry in the spoof “Islamic Gurls” (above). It’s the antithesis of Sex In The City; Conservatively Clad Ladies prancing and singing in the desert fawning over a man but without the touching and their chastity belts intact…LOL! The re-imagined lyrics are tactfully amusing as is the parody on Islamic norms. Make your way to the BOOM CHICK BOOM SITE at KOLDCAST.TV for more humor-laden episodes that have helped “Boom Chick Boom” achieved its regular ranking as one of the most popular channels week on week. “Driving Miss Crazy” and “The Copper Chef” are a must-see if you’re into off-the-wall comedy. Stumbled on a pic of her as a Dragon Lady from one of her short films “FlashBang” and she’s a gal who can turn on the Eastern allure anytime, anywhere…:) Having marveled as a singer, dancer, producer, writer and performed in numerous theatres across the US including Carnegie Hall and parts of Asia, she’s well on her way to shining on the web too. With a gem of a sketch show and part of the spicy super group “Boom Chick Boom” eliciting laughter everywhere, KARI is primed for success.
