Set in the world of counter culture and indie rock, she plays one of 3 sisters who help their brother to spread the ashes of their late mother. The mellowness of the music scene eventually shapes how the family will heal. Transitioning from Scream Queen (having been captivated by her in “Seance”) to Indie Sweetheart is more than paying dividends with this interesting role and Kandis is a sweet surprise waiting to be uncovered. One of the prettiest faces in the biz, she’ll quickly amass a following.

Lynn Shelton Directs Emily Blunt in “Your Sister’s Sister”

While she may not be onscreen this time around, Lynn Shelton roped in two of the most admired actresses Emily Blunt and Rosemarie DeWitt to headline her movie “Your Sister’s Sister”. She stuck gold before with “Humpback”, the comedy about 2 straight men exploring making a gay film to truly test their friendship. In “Your Sister’s Sister”, will there be a threesome that will eventually lead to a discovery of emotional baggage. As a storyteller, she expertly injects humor in her films and weaves them into the more morose subject matter. Emily Blunt has this to say about Lynn: “Appreciated that she very much knew when to back off and when to come in to give you a helping hand.” We concur with gusto!

Fabianne Therese in “John Dies At The End”

It’s like Bradley Cooper’s “Limitless” on steroids with huge servings of “Quantum Leap”. That’s the premise of the surreal flick “John Dies At The End”. At Sundance, we can never get enough of the horror entries and this one introduces sci-fi elements as a new drug is on the streets wreaking havoc by transporting people across dimensions…until some return to their point of origin as non-humans. Cue newcomer Fabianne Therese as a significant character and with the film containing dark comedy, she’ll feel right at home. She has the enigmatic features to pull it off, a starlet to be excited about.
