Expectedly the red in the movie’s title refers to the copious amount of blood that will be shed and this is another thrilling flick that has YVETTE in captivating mode. It’s endearing to know she also advocates the importance of education within the craft of acting, imploring those around her to learn as much as they can. Her moment in the spotlight is now and she could soon be the IT Girl of her generation.

Euro Vixen: Sylvia Hoeks

It’s been a while since a bewitching actress from the European continent made her presence felt here and SYLVIA HOEKS will surely leave us all besotted. Widely regarded as one of the most promising young talents from Europe, this Dutch ingenue has blossomed into a much sought screen siren. Nabbing the leading lady role alongside Geoffrey Rush and Donald Sutherland in “The Best Offer”, she’s set to scale international heights. Her ability to maintain a sense of mystique when in character has seen her play everything from a Lolita to an emotionally-damaged woman. The crowning glory has to be the Oscars 2011 entry “Tirza”, an intense tale of a father’s love for his favorite daughter where SYLVIA dazzled and came to such prominence at an early stage of her career.

Already SYLVIA is generating buzz for her new film “The Girl and Death” where she’s Elise, the love of an old Russian doctor who returns to the spot where he first felt passionately for her. Who wouldn’t be smitten by the delicate etherealness of the beautiful SYLVIA and she is the progeny of fascination in the tragic romance. Only recently, she shared screen time with Rachel Bilson on the episode ‘The Pirate & The Practice’ from “Hart Of Dixie” playing Becky Hilson, mother to a boy with an unidentified ailment. Bridget may originally hail from the mid-western state of Iowa but she’s consummately captured the essence of the womenfolk at BlueBell, Alabama as well as anyone who’ve been on the drama series. Indie Princess: Alyshia Ochse

There’s nothing better than to acknowledge the brightest prospects of this generation and with the beautiful ALYSHIA OCHSE among the ranks. we’ve promptly entranced. Think of ALYSHIA as an experiential actress for she has a penchant for pushing herself in varying tangents when in character. In the fantastic short film “The Guest” as the seemingly innocent DANA, she provided the celluloid suspense, throwing us off her scent until the shocking discovery that appearances are indeed deceiving. She made quite the impression on her debut in the horror stakes yet we’re scratching the surface when referring to her competency in front of the camera as she’s on the road to becoming an accomplished producer too. This has allowed her a better insight into the nuances of film-making leading to more absorbing performances from her. Before we get hypnotized by The Woman In Black (when Daniel “Harry Potter” Radcliffe comes of age), there’s The Woman In White whom for viewers especially soap fans will know is about to be the bewitching factor on “General Hospital”. Recently announced as the mysterious lady that lurks around the grounds of Wyndemere, it won’t just be con artist Ethan Lovett having cravings for ALYSHIA. Don’t forget Jamie Foxx did cast ALYSHIA in his TV Series “Nite Tales” and his approval is no doubt impactful.

Don’t forget to catch her in “Inventing Adam” as the flustered fiancee of the titular protagonist Adam who is looking for the spark that could be life altering. Ochse plays Katherine, all highbrow enroute to meeting Adam who encounters her own travails as her snobbish attitude is put in its place after various travel disasters. This was the film that triggered my avid interest in her and will encourage others to see her in an adoring light. This Thanksgiving Season, I’m indebted to all actresses across the globe and across varying genres who have me in their thoughts ever since the Actress Obsession Blog was born some 2 years ago. Regardless of their popularity or stature, they’ve more than substantiated their appeal by being comprehensively down-to-earth. Reserve that special place in your hearts for indie talents such as ALYSHIA for they are at the pinnacle of enchantment in both the make-believe and real worlds.

Sizzling Cutie: Jenna Johnson

The spookiest week in October has arrived and what better than to showcase the beautiful faces who are a big part of some very eerie features. Let me introduce JENNA JOHNSON, leading lady of the supernatural short film “The Graveyard Shift” who will ostensibly inspire great affection. She fondly recalls “The Graveyard Shift” as her druggie debut and since it’s screening at the New Orleans Horror Film Festival on the 28th of October, we’ll be able catch her gripping performance. The teaser clip of her character foaming in the mouth after a drug overdose is as mysterious as the circumstances that led to her predicament and will leave you wanting answers in a hurry. Written and directed by April Wright who has won numerous awards for her work in independent cinema means its a must-see! Women in-front and behind the camera are a one-two punch that’s pretty irresistible. That might also have something to do with JENNA’s telling cuteness…:)

It used to be Helen of Troy had the face that launched a thousand ships back in the day but being enigmatic should have been in the reckoning too. JENNA’s demure smile is one to treasure and if you’ve seen her retro photo shoot, you’ll acknowledge that she would have been a perfect embodiment of exuberant beauty in whichever era. I would love to see her cast in those comedies where coyness were the order of the day, harking back to the time when Doris Day used to enthrall audiences, particularly when JENNA herself is endowed with delightful girl-next-door qualities. That’s a partiality that resides in my predilection for cuties and JENNA does get me ever willing to watch her as she must have already done for many others.

Anya Benton: She’s the Russian-born Bombshell who has shone in a myriad of genres even though she’s been a turn on in some of the more racier roles. As Daisy Daniels in “Dahmer Vs Gacy”, the comely blonde parodies news reporters to a tee and shows she can injects opportune shades of humor.

Alana Curry: There’s no denying her Sex Bomb credentials having sizzled in recent flicks 2001 Maniacs: Field Of Screams and “Breadcrumbs” more often than not in a scantily-clad bikini. Even though she plays up the bimbotic blonde stereotype as Holly Richards a serial killer devotee, she’s always an ultra adorable watch.

Katie Lohmann: You know you can’t take your eyes off her or her lust-inducing figure…:) A former Playboy Playmate who is essential to any sex comedy that’s ever existed, it’s also her bubbly personality on top of her titillating energy that gets us all hot and bothered. Often touted as having one of the most beautiful bodies today!

Jen Nikolaus in “Nowhere Road”

Having won Best Supporting Actress at the Los Angeles Movie Awards for the short film “Nowhere Road”, Jen Nikolaus is steadily becoming a bright prospect in horror. Excellent as Krin, her role is one of false facade as she goes from apparent victim to victimizer. She’ll surprise and leave you in awe as the sweetie pie college girl she plays who is supposedly stranded on an empty highway hides her own nasty agenda. We’ve seen our perception of a Hillbilly serial killer turned on its head in “Tucker & Dale vs Evil” and “Nowhere Road” takes it on a completely different direction with Jen’s wonderful obfuscation of appearances a measure of her acting finesse. Plus we do get to see Jen stripping down to her undies, her voluptuous va-va-voom body being another reason to crave this impressive talent.

Amber Bollinger, Jacqui Holland & Erin Marie Hogan in “Zombies and Assholes”

Here’s 3 immensely sexy women who are cannily able to milk the laughs while still maintaining an absolute desirability. Joan Rivers may have proclaimed that funny women are measured on Cup-size but I can find no wrong there especially when actresses Amber Bollinger, Jacqui Holland and Erin Marie Hogan prove that comedy thrives on its stimulating content. In “Zombies and Assholes”, it so happens The Walking Dead (think hot commodity!) are thrown into the mix of Gen X banter and biting zombedy. Watch out for the scene at the 1:54 mark of the ‘Zombie Attack’ clip (above) for the amusing ‘Breast Joke’. Amber has an eye-catching coolness that’s infectious, Jacqui is a pin up blonde with a charming sex appeal and busty beauty Erin intoxicates our loins with ease. All three vastly delightful scene-stealers in their own right!
