Quirky Saucy: Minni Jo Mazzola

 alt=  alt=

Standout stunners are constantly celebrated on the Actress Obession Blog and the visually alluring MINNI JO MAZZOLA can definitely spark a healthy devotion. Famed for her role as Natalie Ludgate, sister of April Ludgate played by Aubrey Plaza on “Parks and Recreation”, she caught the eye even if her character spots a dour demeanor. One can tell there’s a unique physical attractiveness about MINNI, a rock star temptress who will never fail to stir our senses. She can be seen doing just that on the new sitcom “Second Shot” premiering on April 5th. As Ty, a street smart girl who bats for the same side, her fashion sense is as beguiling as her surliness on this witty show. Love that starlets such as MINNI and her peers (think Krysten Ritter) are reeling us in with their captive beauty.

Being multi-talented, MINNI has some powerful pipes which has seen a fan on Youtube even calling her the female version of Morrissey, the former Smiths frontman! Her musical skills even extend to her abilities to play the flute, guitar and bass as well as appearing as a video vixen. She’s also a trained ballet, modern, and jazz dancer. Enthrallment is something MINNI can muster on consistently prompting us to readily await her next desirable appearance. She’s just informed me that she’s in a metal band! WOOT! Foxy Femme: Marguerite Insolia

 alt=  alt=

It’s time to rank Marguerite Insolia as one of the most desirable women in the world for she’s a force of captivation each time she appears onscreen. Marguerite can be immensely beguiling when she employs the Bostonian accent in the features she’s done, the teasing of the lilt with her lips is enough to affirm her lusciousness. This can be traced back to back in the day when at 18, she won the award for “Best National Commercial Print Model” signaling the start of emergence as the face to covet. Her name Marguerite already means ‘Pearl’ and she’s definitely shining on the indie scene. One of the stars of “The Whiskey Girls” which is directed by Amy Lyndon has been garnering awards at numerous festivals. Her turn as the neurotic Supatra who has issues when it comes to her beauty is appealing and entertaining. While the past few days have been super busy for me with the deluge of blogger events that have occupied a large part of my time, it’s great to be writing again about actresses worthy of mention.

In the thriller “The Muse”, she’s sexing up proceedings as the titular character who inspires a rock musician to re-capture the essence of what compelled him to write a hit song. Triggering such an awakening is something I’m sure Marguerite would easily do off camera as well for she has more than enough charms to be memorable. The MARGUERITE INSOLIA OFFICIAL SITE should get you excited about this rising starlet in the months ahead.

Rising Starlet: Taylor Orci

 alt=  alt=

In this time of beautiful women, TAYLOR ORCI is significantly beguiling and a comedic actress to take note of. She kicked off Season 2 of the Adult Swim series “NTSF:SD:SUV” with her appearance as Whitney, a cheerleader who gets into a feisty tangle with the undercover Piper (June Diane Raphael) over a boy. The rib-tickling scene (above) is an example of why “NTSF:SD:SUV” has a great following, the unabashed parodying of popular shows gone by is both enjoyable and the female comics on the show is what makes it ticks. Taylor’s stunning eyes adds extra spice to what will be an ever-growing appeal. It’s certainly a trait that would drive many to keep tabs on her future roles. After chatting with her on facebook, there are some things she wishes could be revealed but for now she has to stay quiet about a few things. Although, Taylor has indicated she’s in a side project called “These Broken People” which embodies a more serious tone.

Currently, she’s also a writer and has shone as an improv performer and one day I hope to get to see her dazzle the stage. Keep tabs on her by visiting the TAYLOR ORCI OFFICIAL SITE. With three-quarters of million+ views on the Actress Obsession Blog, featuring upcoming talents has been a perennial highlight, treasured by readers and myself alike. Count on Taylor to provide the entertainment value that so often come with the potential she has…:)

Sizzling Cutie: Shannon McDonough

 alt=  alt=

With the phenomenal success of “Boardwalk Empire”, there’s plenty of room for Prohibition era features and “Bloodshed Love” is banking on that sweet spot to keeps things fascinating. Shannon McDonough plays the divine Becky Darling and she comes between 2 men which is not a first when it comes to love. This shouldn’t be a surprise considering how heavenly Shannon is on camera and most of us will very likely vie for her affection. She’s also so accommodating to her fans and has so kindly given me the peek into her future projects. She’s currently filming the 8th film for Chris Mihm entitled “The Giant Spider” which will be her 5th film with him. Find more info about the creature feature here: www.sainteuphoria.com.. She also has a cameo in a film called “In Harm’s Way” will be released to redox, Target, Walmart, Best Buy etc on 12/11/12 (that’s by www.restraininghollywood.com).

It does pay off to take a look at the Shannon McDonough OFFICIAL SITE especially the media tab which has an extensive collection of trailers/videos of the features she’s done. Scroll to the bottom of the page to view her cluster of pics and I have to say she has a retro foxiness with quite a beguiling glow. Shannon has also had roles in the miniseries “One Night Stand” that has a new season coming up and in what is a busy few months, she’ll be teaming back up with Jarrod Crooks for a role in his next film “Dispatched” as well as being a back-up sing for Elvis impersonator Anthony Shore. There is a show in Minneapolis at The Parkway Theatre on Nov 8th so look out for the lovely Shannon if you are in the area. She has the right stuff to be a jewel of the indie scene and she’s about to get hotter…:)

Sizzling Cutie: Nikki Deloach

 alt=  alt=

Down-to-earth radiance and sweet sexiness exemplifies the allure of NIKKI DELOACH. She is famed for playing Lacey Hamilton, mother of Jenna, her trying hard to fit-in teenage daughter in the hit series “Awkward”. From getting breast implants to her sometimes slutty ways, NIKKI dazzles as the superficial mom saddled with the responsibility of raising a child even though she’s pretty much clueless. If you wanted a true representation of how someone can be a child’s worst nightmare, then NIKKI rouses every time she’s in character, infusing Lacey with the perceptible traits of an immature woman who borne a child way too early. Check her out on TV in the upcoming episode “Pick Me, Choose Me, Love Me”. “Awkward” is a smart comedic series and we have to praise Nikki as well as Ashley Rickards for entertaining us with their offbeat yet adorable charms.

I have to admit I first fell in love with NIKKI after watching “The Net 2.0″, a sequel to Sandra Bullock’s action-thriller “The Net”. She’s so genial that everyone would love nothing more than be her savior onscreen (even though as the heroine, she saved herself through savvy instincts). Since then she’s starred in several quirky dramas and had a stint on Sarah Michelle Gellar’s “The Ringer” as the smart and foxy exotic dancer Shaylene Briggs. In addition to her versatility, she’s certifiably one of the most humble actresses on the planet and to receive a note that she’ll retweet and get the message out about the Actress Obsession Blog is a dream come true! There’s nothing better than returning the love by raving about NIKKI DELOACH who is fabulously talented and beguilingly engaging.

Quirky Saucy: Hannah Fierman

 alt=  alt=

Actresses can sometimes leave a most memorable impression and HANNAH FIERMAN is more than capable of beguiling a healthy cross-section of admirers. Her performance in “V/H/S” is startling yet has us hooked especially when she’s switches from mysterious to sheer rage. As Lily, a woman who is more than meets the eye, she accepts sexual overture from three unsuspecting guys looking to film an amateur porn video and proceeds to rip them to shreds in sickening fashion. Just like how “Detention” forever changed the slasher genre, “V/H/S” reinvents the wheel when it comes to found footage horror flicks. HANNAH of course is a standout in the creepy film and with her fascinatingly big eyes, she’s a magnetic enigma to be fondly remembered for the longest time.

You may have also spotted her on TV guest-starring on an episode of “The Vampire Diaries” as well as “The Game”. News in from the actresses herself: She’s slated to star in 2 features, first as Laura, one of the 2 leads in the film “Carmella” by director Bret Wood. In September, she will dazzle in “Hold Me” by director Teace Snyder playing the lead role of Hannah. She’s indicated that both are dark but wonderful stories in keeping with the kind of roles HANNAH stunningly thrives at…:) Visit the HANNAH FIERMAN OFFICIAL SITE and you’ll find her distinctive looks to be intoxicating. She’s a hot prospect who is expected to be a scene stealer.

Rising Starlet: Tessa Munro

 alt=  alt=

Take a liking to the beguiling TESSA MUNRO who this week has hasten the adoration that’s coming her way. On the new series “Perception”, she appears as Jolene Gray, a woman with an obsessive shopping habit (watch the scene above) who happens to be a murder suspect. She’s amazingly exquisite on television and I had long wondered how actresses simulate the welling of tears, something which TESSA depicts admirably. The female quotient in the criminal drama on TNT is a treat for the eyes with TESSA joining leading ladies Rachael Leigh Cook and Kelly Rowan on the second episode “Faces”. Such is the appeal of TV sirens of the modern era that we’ve constantly can’t stop praising their comeliness.

Being exposed to this array of talented women right up till today is a boon especially when they’re so approachable as TESSA has been. People still keep asking me how I’ve managed to contact actresses online and thanks to social media, I’m constantly grateful for the opportunity to touch base with them. Seeing TESSA reciprocating with a message of thanks for supporting her spurs me on even further as an Actress Lover. It’s worthwhile to keep TESSA in our sights for she’s likely to be one of the screen sweethearts we’ll be yearning for…:)

Euro Vixen: Renée Fokker

 alt=  alt=

With the date 11-11-11 being a primary phenomenon this year, I’m following its lead by featuring Renée Fokker, the first ever Dutch actress on the Actress Obsession Blog. Her appearances in the explicit Cannes selection “Code Blue” as well as the much vaunted thriller “Loft” have introduced her to a worldwide audience. She currently stars as Chief of Serious Crime Department in Amsterdam on the TV series “Hart-Tegen-Hard” (aka Hard against Heart) and while it has been compared to the popular “Castle”, the show has something “Castle” does not; A sexy, take charge police commander Trudy van Veen played by the voluptuously beguiling Renée. As one can see, she is endowed with an authentic, sensual nature and she more than expresses feminine sexual liberation in the raunchy “LelleBelle” as the mother of a young girl whose is discovering her carnal knowledge. Oh, her character also happens to be a teacher who educates couples on the fine art of erotic copulation and even quotes the Kamasutra. The honest direction the drama takes is not one of exploitation rather the laying bare of irrepressible pubescent desires and a flirtatious yet sensitive interpretation from Renée makes it all the more rousing. Having watched “Cat Run” recently, I have to say European cinema can get away with pretty much anything (i.e. full-frontal nudity, penetration) where other markets may fear to thread and “LelleBelle” is unequivocal in its explicitness.

While the US has the gifted yet under-rated screen siren Patricia Clarkson, the Netherlands can count Renée Fokker as one of it’s visually stimulating stars. Actually, Patricia has even reprized the award-winning role Renée made famous in “Blind Date” directed by controversial filmmaker Theo van Gogh and it’s clear both have an immensely, engaging sultriness. Whether she’s arthouse or TV Darling, here’s an actress at her peak and we can anticipate more strong performances from the gorgeous Renée.
