Actresses in Grindhouse films are often regarded as an addiction and OLIVIA LACROIX will soon rank as one of the hottest. As one of the stars of the exploitation film “Dear God No!”, her role as Evelyn Marco is regarded as being one of the creepiest. She does wear some freaky makeup in the film that’s brimming with Bikers, Strippers and even a Psychotic Bigfoot. HEATHER will no doubt impress as Gwen, the complexed, damaged persona who revels in some skin-crawling razor blade mutilation that would make us cringe. It’s also great to see her alongside fellow Scream Queen Kitsie Duncan in “What They Say” as well as the soon to be released “Mother’s Blood”. This thriller of twisted proportions sees HEATHER as Emma, the repressed daughter of control freak Vivian (Kitsie) who traded her daughter’s beauty in order to regain her own after a horrific accident. She’s investing her heart and soul into these features and not just as an actress as she’s heavily involved in the writing/producing side of things as well.

With all the dire material HEATHER has to work with in a majority of her films, off camera she always has a warm smile and ever so welcoming of all her fans. I myself am reciprocating the love by heaping praise on this emerging prospect on the independent scene. SIFF 2011 Hottie Special: German Vixen Jennifer Ulrich

Come May 19th 2011, Seattle International Film Festival will be the epicenter of visual pleasure that will be colorfully stimulating throughout. Certainly we have to pay tribute to the actresses who in varying capacities are ensuring we fans have a mind-blowing good time. Not since “Fright Night” have Vampires been this audaciously seductive and the leading ladies of “We Are The Night” or “Wir sind die Nacht” (in German) should be commended for bringing Sexy Back! JENNIFER ULRICH for one is a sensation as Charlotte, a silent era movie star with looks to kill and a ruthless appetite for blood. JENNIFER has a priceless scene in “We Are The Night” where she pokers her eye with a lighted cigarette…there’s none of the emo posturing or existential thoughts of being the undead….It’s as true to the immoral vampiric nature as you can get amidst a very addictive Eurodance soundscape complete with throbbing beats. Being a Vamp is all about excess and I love how JENNIFER portrays her sultry Charlotte character with both bloodlust abandon and dignified poise. It’s terrific to see a strong female-fronted movie with women driving the story and doing the majority of the onscreen kills. I urge you to watch German Sirens JENNIFER ULRICH, Karoline Herfurth, Nina Hoss & Anna Fischer in one of the most gorily fun movies of the year! I’m half expecting a Hollywood remake to be churned out pretty soon.

It really doesn’t matter where you live in the world or what language you’re conversant with, JENNIFER like so many of her European peers have brilliantly intimated the enthralling cinematic experience we are so fond of. She’s been lauded once before for her intense performance as a teen who rebels against the ideals of a school cult in “The Wave”. Good-natured and with a heady desirability, it would be fascinating to see JENNIFER crossover to the American Market and achieve the kind of popularity relished by German talents say for example Franka Potente. JENNIFER brings a compelling freshness on the film scene and well on her way to success.

Hot Actress #487 – Leslie Garbett: Rising Starlet

Thankfully the emergence of indie horror films with females being the central focus have created a genre on their own with some calling it the rise of Feminist Horror. Exploitation hasn’t gone the way of the dinosaur but more and more, we get to revel in solid stories of the terror persuasion that for once doesn’t just bank on eye candy. Granted the women in “The Descent” were gorgeous yet they virtually drove the excellent story thereby creating a classic! Lucky McKee’s “Offspring” and its sequel “The Woman” uses its wildly, cannibalistic femme fatale to shocking effect. In the same resonating mold, “In The Pines” reminds me of “Carrie”, only this time jitters of the visceral kind take the place of telekinetic mayhem! Check out the spine-tingling trailer (above); The image of leading lady LESLIE GARBETT in the throes of a blood feast is as chilling as iconic Sissy Spacek all drenched in crimson red. The movie’s tagline says ‘Daddy’s Issues Are A Bitch’ or is it a case of cabin fever, a nightmare relived or even a murderous rampage. One thing is certain “In The Pines” has one of the coolest trailers around. Slick in its execution, the leads tread the disturbing gush of emotions convincingly with LESLIE a riveting vision in the most unsettling of ways.

If these are any indication of things to come, I’m sold and LESLIE is clearly a fantastic prospect. Being a stuntwoman as well, she’s in peak physical form and I also hereby proclaim her intense attractiveness. Check out LESLIE GARBETT ON TUMBLR in some of the sensual photo shoots she’s done….yup, she’s a stunning model too..:) In the great state of Portland, Oregon where acclaimed films “The Goonies” and “My Own Private Idaho” were shot, it’s a real satisfaction to come across gems such as the very enchanting LESLIE.
