1.Rae Latt in “Blood Type: Unknown”

 alt=  alt=

- Thanks to the enchanting Miss Rae, I’ve got a look at her intriguingly poised upcoming feature “Blood Type:Unknown” which has an interesting mystique surrounding the plot.

- Known for her roles on TV in “Criminal Minds” and “The Office”, she’s currently amassing an impressive body of work on the indie scene.

2. Megan Duffy in “Maniac”

 alt=  alt=

- Her memorable performance in “Maniac” as Lucie, one of the early victims of Psychopath Frank (Elijah Wood) is delightfully saucy.
- So is her photoshoot for iheartgirls.com (above) in her sexy kitty-like costume that fits her fun personality to a tee.
- She exudes a charismatic foxiness that certifies her as a bonafide screen vixen.

- “The Human Centipede” was her claim to fame and her brilliance in such a controversial role was key in getting her lauded.

Canadian Vixen: Romina D’Ugo

 alt=  alt=

Call her one of the most ravishing women on this planet and ROMINA D’UGO would fall in the category of beauties to be idolized. The Toronto-born actress is a Goddess thanks in part to her Italian heritage and she also has some serious talents, making her an all-round sizzler. ROMINA can certainly do it all whether as a singer, actress and even dancer where she was in the top 20 dancers on “So You Think You Can Dance Canada”. One of the accolades bestowed upon her was her Gemini nomination in 2011 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series. It was for her leading role as Zoe, a struggling dancer looking to become a star in “Turn The Beat Around” with David Giuntoli who we all know has achieved fame on the hit series “Grimm”. If you needed any more proof of how enticing she can be, watch ROMINA as the thief Natalie Hurst on the latest season of “Republic Of Doyle”. It’s a performance that’s both saucily eye-catching and peppered with an audacious cheekiness.

As the foxy robber/killer Natalie, ROMINA does play the seductive card effortlessly and gave the men on “Republic Of Doyle” quite the run-around. As the femme fatale on the series, ROMINA has mentioned that apparently the publishers for the French Curriculum text books across Canada think she’s appropriate to be featured in one of the chapters of the book. Now students across Canada will have to read about her career as part of the curriculum…wow! It’s no coincidence that the more you watch ROMINA the more you’ll be yearning for her, the bewitching effect she has on viewers is without question. This is one striking hottie with maximum sex appeal!

Indie Princess: Lexi Giovagnoli

 alt=  alt=

If ever there was an upcoming starlet to take note of, LEXI GIOVAGNOLI would definitely be one to evoke admirable glances from viewers. She has a lovable appeal and seeing how she was ever so nice to provide me with some behind the scenes news, here’s me giving her a shout-out! “Bloody Homecoming” is one of her intriguing films in what is billed as “My Bloody Valentines” meets “Prom Night”. Let’s hope LEXI’s the Final Girl in this slasher as she’s adorable and deserves to make it to the film’s end. The other big project she’s a big part of is the Campfire horror “Varsity Blood” as she’s cast alongside horror icon Debbie Rochon (who plays her mother), appearing as Hannah Wallace who together with her fellow cheerleaders are targeted by a maniac wielding a lethal fighting ax and a bow and arrow. She just wrapped “Varsity Blood” although the director and producers are mulling over a title change because there are interested distributors. What’s amazing about LEXI is that she’s juggling her film schedule and school which is clearly tough. Speaking from my own experience, you almost feel swamped and yet you soldier on so it’s highly respectable what LEXI is doing.

She has also delved into comedy with a little bit of magic called “3 Times A Charm” and will be in the drama “1 Chance 2 Dance”. In the latter she recalls one of her favorite bloopers: In the movie there is a cafeteria scene involving Gabby (her character) and her two new friends Dana and Jude. They’re giving Gabby the lowdown on the “Neapolitans”. Anyway during this scene, Teresa (who plays Jude) is explaining the girls’ background in a mini monologue and she was getting it perfect every time, per usual. When the girls had quite a few wonderful takes the director Adam, decided that the word slut might be too much for our PG rating, so he asked Teresa to say poop instead for one take. The next take started like all of the others, but when Teresa got to her script change, she started laughing hysterically. Well hearing Teresa, a comedian in her own right, was cracking up, LEXI couldn’t help but do the same. It took them about 20-30 minutes to be able to stop laughing. Every time they would calm down and start again, Teresa would break at the same spot.

She may be living the life as a student actress yet LEXI is getting a number of leading roles. This cherubic beauty has already made her mark in independent films which could propel her to even bigger roles in the future.

Canadian Vixen: Tara Westwood

 alt=  alt=

A vision of heavenly beauty, TARA WESTWOOD is emerging as an indie starlet everyone should keep adoring eyes on. She is one of the leading ladies of thought-provoking drama “Surviving Family” that contemplates whether daughters really do inherit the failures of their mothers. It’s a vivid performance by TARA as Jean, the older sister of a woman who returns to her family abode. Reconnection is a painful one and Tara portrays so distinctively her character’s method of coping with the ensuing complications. She’s quite the stunner and besides Maggie Grace who is popping up almost everywhere, I have to say TARA does have those similarly soulful eyes that casts a spell whenever she’s onscreen. She is after all a Ford Model and has also been the covergirl for Chanel’s ‘Allure’ fragrance campaign.

Next up is her horror feature “A Haunting At Silver Falls” and from the trailer (above), it’s a spook-fest chock full of mystery. On TV, she appeared as a woman who happens to be the mastermind behind her husband’s murder. She was convincing in this duplicitous role giving the coppers a run-around while seemingly parlaying herself as the innocent wife. One can see that TARA is an enigmatic darling and when it comes to her charming allure, she can be consistently persuasive. Witness the rise of Tara Westwood, a contender for Sexiest performer in 2013.

Foxy Femme: Jackie Joyner

 alt=  alt=

Viewers are going to be in love with the heavenly women of TV in 2013 and JACKIE JOYNER ranks as an all-round cutie among the bevy of beauties. If you’ve seen her demo reel via the JACKIE JOYNER OFFICIAL SITE, you’ll be fascinated by her high-pitched, quirky voice. This endearing trait of hers makes her remarkable in a special way and reminiscent of say “Glee” actress Jayma Mays. Jackie herself is looking to enthrall as she’s guest-starring in the 13th episode of “The New Normal” entitled ‘Stay-At-Home Dad’ premiering 15th Jan after the festive break. She recounts her experience working on “The New Normal” as the best ever and credits actor Andrew Rannells as one of the nicest she’s ever had the pleasure of working with. He went the distance to ensure all actors on set got what they needed, revealing a chivalrous side of the industry. Hope I get to work alongside such benevolent people one day…:)

It’s no wonder JACKIE has the irrepressible smile and the fact she loves what I’m doing with the advent of this tribute to actresses is so amiable of her. She does feel blessed to be doing what she’s passionate about and her positivity is awe-inspiring. Have a look at her other credits which include appearances in “iCarly”, “In Plain Sight” and as a therapist on the web series “Youthful Daze”. Personality counts a great deal and JACKIE has one that’s both radiant and comely. Her easy-going, accessibility would be of great appeal to our hearts and minds.

Rising Starlet: Hannah Bryan

 alt=  alt=

The enthrallment HANNAH BRYAN can stir is incredibly telling considering she’s 100% foxy with one of the sweetest faces in the industry. “Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies” is the indie horror feature where HANNAH gained a legion of followers who became hooked on her sensuality. Apparently on the DVD extras, a full minute is devoted to a crew member’s fascination with her and while Bill Oberst Jr gives a masterful performance as Abe Lincoln we should not forget how HANNAH visually impacted on viewers. She plays Sophia, the young woman who aids survivors of a zombie epidemic during the Civil War and affirms she has the ability to deal with various emotions onscreen. “Rites Of Spring” is another film where her performance was riveting as Alyssa, the victim of a human sacrificial ritual. Some of her scenes were so intense, she even injured her right shoulder for more than a year after being hung from a rope in the barn. It’s highly commendable how she went to great lengths to make it amazingly realistic.

On an interesting side note, she had an uncredited body double to do her “nude” kill scene in “Rites Of Spring” and while some may earmarked her as a future Scream Queen, Hannah is equally comfortable in different genres. She does change gears in the upcoming drama “Coming From All Sides” which deals with the pressures facing people with financial difficulties which is something that rings true in our daily lives. We already know HANNAH’s ravishing and soon we’ll be awed by an upcoming talent with an excellent range.
