Such a beauty to behold on screen and on print, Caroline Amiguet is quickly becoming an indie darling on the back of memorable performances. From festival favorite “Just Desserts” to her new short about autism titled “Lucy”, this French/Swiss Miss has got everyone captivated. Multi-Lingual and versatile, this beautifully expressive actress is going to be very much sought after…:)

Caroline Macey in “The Ghastly Love of Johnny X”

 alt=

Caroline Macey is certainly riding the wave of retro chic especially when she’s starring in the wacky sci-fi musical comedy “The Ghastly Love Of Johnny X”. She’s already been at the Dances with Films press junket spotting a stylish look with delightfully modish glasses. Blessed with hot, kooky charm and loads of enigmatic allure, the question is when will Caroline be sizzling up “Mad Men”?

Christie Lynn Smith in “A Boy’s Life”

 alt=

Regarded as one of the most natural performers to step in front of the camera, Christie is consistently compelling. It’s a testament to her acting prowess as she has shone in high profile features, television shows and independent films. Her performance as Loraine, a mother dismissive of her son’s claim of a monster hiding under his bed in “A Boy’s Life” will no doubt be emotionally haunting.

Sex Bomb: Christina Fandino

 alt=  alt=

It’s mind-blowing to be in the presence of CHRISTINA FANDINO for she’s one of the most enchanting personalities we would love to meet in the flesh. She stirred the loins as the Hot Tub Girl Khae in “Love and Other Drugs” when she and Katheryn Winnick got it on in the lip-locking department. Guess who was watching and couldn’t wait to join in…..Jake Gyllenhaal himself!! And I’m betting there was a long line of men wishing they were in his shoes…:) This hottie of Filipino, Chinese, and Spanish descent is a former Miss Philippines of the World with a most exquisite body. She’s graced both FHM and Maxim magazines, stroking flames of desire with ease. She also has the Filipino hospitality which only serves to heighten the fascination we already have for her curves.

While she’s a breathtaking model, her first passion from a very young age has been the realm of acting. Aspiring to augment the characters she’s playing with depth, CHRISTINA is filming action flick “LA Snow” where she displays her tough side. Slated for another starring role in a niche, but dramatic film, “Ameripina”, to be shot in Bataan, Philippines, CHRISTINA’s impending sojourn in Asia will be of great interest. Admiring the vixen in her is inevitable!

Rising Starlet: Elaine Kao

 alt=  alt=

Most countries have already started the festivities of the Chinese Lunar New Year and to follow suit, today’s feature is a celebration of mesmeric Asian-American actress ELAINE KAO. East Meets West in elegant fashion as this true blue Californian Valley Girl of Chinese heritage is known for being wonderful in everything she’s done. On stage, in film and on TV, ELAINE shimmers with dexterity which has seen her switch from character to character with nimble motility. She appeared in “Bridesmaids”, one of the smash comedies of 2011 opposite Kristen Wiig as one half of a couple shopping for jewelry. She’s probably garnered a fair bit of attention after that and judging from positive press from a range of respected media on her amazing theatre work, she’s one to keep tabs on. The ELAINE KAO OFFICIAL SITE would be the essential portal when you’re looking into her crystal ball of projects coming in this Dragon Year of 2012.

Regular guest spots on hit shows such as “NCIS:LA”, “The Closer” and “Entourage” has allowed her the avenue to express herself with such engaging poise. If you’re a fan of the darkly satirical “Six Feet Under”, Elaine was endearing on it and in her upcoming romantic comedy “Wedding Palace”, she’s set to replicate that serene cuteness. A smile does go a long way in being extra appealing and ELAINE has one to meet our warmest approval. ELAINE’s soft-spoken charms are leading the way and showering affection towards her arises without fail.

Rising Starlet: Elaine Loh

 alt=  alt=

With Chinese New Year a few days away, let’s instill some Asian flavor by having ELAINE LOH enchant us right here. For those in the know, ELAINE is actually of Hispanic and Asian heritage, a very alluring combo indeed, those almond shaped eyes, kissable lips and the soft hair very much desirable facets. This up and comer has just scored a role in “The Mentalist” where she’s currently having a ball on set. She’s acknowledged the cast may be the nicest people she’s had the pleasure of working alongside and I have a feeling Simon Baker may have something to do with those friendly vibes. “Californication”, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “Chuck” are some of the other shows where ELAINE has displayed her glowing lissomeness. There’s a collection of videos detailing her TV appearances at the ELAINE LOH OFFICIAL SITE. It’s been said she even gets into character when having a shower…what endearing dedication! Hmmm….or were some of you living in hope of seeing lady parts after finding this out since ELAINE is so attractive…;)

Her fight reel shows another dimension to her onscreen abilities and she sure served up some action moves in spy comedy “One Sharp Girl”. Additionally her vocal prowess as a theatre actress and her experience as a teacher/private coach for aspiring actors is indicative of ELAINE’s diverse competencies. This month has all the makings of an auspicious one and since ELAINE has caught our fancy lately, there’ll be a measure of devotion coming her way.

Sizzling Ladies At Fantastic Fest 2011

Julie R. Ølgaard & Synnøve Macody Lund in “Headhunters”

 alt=  alt=
 alt=

Julie R. Ølgaard is an award-winning actress who is also one of the most charismatic actresses that have ever graced the Danish Film scene. Formerly a student at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in LA, she returned to her native Denmark and swiftly began dazzling the industry over there. Famed for being the missing woman (the US remake calls her Rosie Larsen) so central in the hit Danish series “The Killing”, Julie has heaps of magnetism that it wouldn’t be inconceivable for anyone to want to rescue her. She’s appearing in the fast-paced heist thriller “Headhunters” screening at Fantastic Fest that promises to be hugely exciting. Fellow Blonde Synnøve Macody Lund is the film’s obvious leading lady who is nude in a number of scenes on her debut. What better than to be mesmerized by this pair of Danish Vixens.

Ashley Bell in “The Day”

 alt=

She announced her arrival as an intense actress with an emotional tidal wave of a performance in “The Last Exorcism”. As Nell Sweetzer, Ashley Bell’s version of the Linda Blair-like demonic possession dispenses with the pea vomit, opting for a scarred psyche and some astounding back contortions which she gamely performed herself without any CGI! She’s making a habit of being a survivor onscreen be it from The Devil or the horrors of an apocalypse such as in “The Day”. It’s “Mad Max” meets “The Road” as Ashley wields her 9mm Berretta and shotgun in the face of impeding death. The psychedelic rock from “Explosions In The Sky” in the teaser (above) already foretells of the disquiet tension before the storm for this must-see film. Yet another demanding role in which Ashley will evidently ace!

Emma Lock In “The Human Centipede:Full Sequence”

 alt=  alt=

About to play a major part in “The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence”, Emma Lock is destined to achieve cult status by the time this even more controversial sequel ends its run. She’s in the largely British cast who have been tasked to deliver on the ’100% medically inaccurate’ shocks that shook up the genre last year and spawned such a cultural phenomenon (South Park’s Centipad comes to mind)! Emma is a multilingual model/actress of Spanish/Chinese descent with eternally enchanting features. Hailing from West London, she has performed in indie films, theatre productions and has even done voice over work for BBC radio. Have a peek at the teaser trailer of her new thriller Drive-By-Sunset”. Emma is sweetly captivating as there’s a whole lot of sensual intrigue behind her doe-eyes and lively innocence..

Katy Mixon in “Take Shelter”

 alt=  alt=

Jessica Chastain is proabably getting the plaudits as she has done all year but don’t forget there’s another talented lady in the existential drama “Take Shelter”. Just like the hallucinatory themes of the film, we’ll be fantasizing about Katy Mixon even if she’s more of a supporting act this time around. The helium-voiced, busty beauty has been heating up TV land for years in popular series “Eastbound and Down” as well as “Mike and Molly” utilizing that kooky sex appeal of hers. Audiences are calling her eminently watchable on “Mike and Molly” and at the very least should have been nominated as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy (leading lady Melissa McCarthy did triumphed as Best Actress). While we may certainly lust after this sassy Sex Symbol, its those helpings of Southern Belle geniality that keeps us coming back for more.

Sharni Vinson in “You’re Next”

There’s really heaps of thunder from Down Under when referring to the impact of Australian Actresses and their invasion of the US Film market. Expect Sharni Vinson to provide some of it as this cutie stars in “You’re Next”, the all-the-rage horror entry at this year’s Fantastic Fest. Touted as the new “Scream”, the smart home invasion flick could transform Sharni into a household name not unlike how Neve Campbell is often put on the pedestal for being a Terror Hottie. And because she posed for Maxim Australia, I’ll let it slide that “You’re Next” doesn’t have a trailer out yet. Plus it’s now under the Lionsgate label and we all know how fantastic their stable of films have been. Ogle at her behind the scenes Maxim shoot (above)…her sexy accent, carefree hair and supple bod (which we saw plenty in Step Up 3D) is quite the arousing factor!

Hot Actress #458 – Camille Mana: Rising Starlet

 alt=  alt=

FHM Cover Girl, Award-winning film-maker/producer and already tipped as one of Ten Promising Asian-Americans To Watch, CAMILLE MAMA enthralls with relative ease. When she acknowledged in jest her openness for threesomes from an interview she did (above), she probably made the day for many a guy…hehe. Sassy, funny and blessed with a wholesome yet foxy sex appeal, this Filipino-Chinese beauty has even kissed “Mr MegaTwitter” star Ashton Kutcher in just her bra and panties albeit in a scene from the comedy ‘SMART PEOPLE’. Even though she’s well known as the sprightly Lisa Sanchez from TV Series ‘ONE TO ONE’, CAMILLE has done several independent features most notably the Mean Girls meets Ninja High School comedy ‘THE SAMURAI OF STRONGVILLE, OHIO’ which had its run during CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2010. Add an appearance in star-studded Sundance fave ‘HIGH SCHOOL’ plus a starring role alongside the face of “The Social Network” Jesse Eisenberg in the upcoming ‘THE AMBASSADORS’ and you can see why she’s primed for stardom. It’s been a tough road for her so let’s face facts by not sugarcoating them; Asian faces are the minority in this industry but her exuberant passion and strong belief has garnered a semblance of deserved success.

You may be surprise to know even though CAMILLE’s a social butterfly, she doesn’t necessarily subscribe to the trappings and allure of Hollywood themed parties, preferring to be seen in the more artistic fringes of Tinseltown. With her star on the up and up and fame knocking on her doorstep, that might prove easier said than done but you have to adore her groundedness in the thick of all the media hooplah. This bubbly girl is creating a sweet commotion and believe you me, she is that lovable..:)
