A lady who truly beliefs in her craft, JUDY CERDA is living proof that independent actresses rock! In terms of features, FLORENCE has a cherubic appeal most of us will find rather fascinating. She has such a gentle persona and has been ever so nice to me on Facebook…:)

For the lucky people in New York City, this adorable brunette is performing at Hotel Cafe on May 14th. It’s the chance to watch a singer who has been compared to Angie Hart from Aussie group Frente seeing how FLORENCE has delicate vocals on such a melodic plane. Watch her music video “One Too Many Mornings” (above) for it has a soothing effect for the soul with its stripped down intimacy. Rising Starlet: Thia Schuessler

This past week has been one of warm approval for the Fresh Faces in the film world and newcomer THIA SCHUESSLER could yet be another gem. As I’m writing this, she’s currently at or around the majestic theaters in Hollywood where AFI Fest 2011 runs till November 10th in support of the enchanting short film “Clear Blue”. It’s “Cocoon” (the youthful rejuvenation swimming pool) meets “Harold and Maude” (the unexpected bond between older woman and younger man) as a lifeguard encounters a magical phenomenon that suspends our disbelief. The woman at the center of this haunting tale is Fiova, an elderly lady who mystically becomes a much younger version of herself as soon as she’s into the blue. THIA plays the younger version of Fiova, ethereally angelic as she spends significant time underwater that includes a kissing scene or two….can’t wait to see how this perplexing mystery unravels. Already she reminds me of mumblecore princess Greta Gerwig in terms of her magnetic beauty, you know that indie cool, arty European glow that keeps us fascinated (ok I’m a little blatantly bias when it comes to cute blondes…hehe).

A visit to the THIA SCHUESSLER OFFICIAL SITE should give an inkling of her fetching qualities. Blessed with ambrosial features (I believe she’s attractive even sans makeup), THIA does have a comely appeal which even in the 20 mins of “Clear Blue” is captured sublimely. ㋡ Ketryn Porter is Vanessa, the more sedate of the three who can’t seem to catch a break in relationships with creepy guys gravitating towards her ad nauseum. Not one to jump into bed with any random guy, her exasperation will resonate with many a woman.

Adorning labels on upcoming actresses is one of the sincerest form of flattery and KANDICE MELONAKOS does indeed have an abundance of prodigious talents. KANDICE is also a fixture in the music world, recognizable as Lola Blanc, blossoming singer/songwriter whose dance tune ‘I’m Alive’ was featured in Kristin Cavallari’s comedy “Wild Cherry”.

On top of being in my fav band Lifehouse’s music video “Halfway Gone’” she goes all video vixen in gothic glory for Interpol’s “Lights” as well as the ‘Let The Right One In’ inspired “If You Let Me” by Chrissie Hynde. Swedish novelist John Ajvide Lindqvist would be proud of such a bold interpretation by her culminating in the dismemberment of bodies amidst the snowy bleakness. It’s easy to see why she cites Fiona Apple as her musical influence as her song writing comes from personal experiences be they dark or otherwise. In fact, she’s quite the fascinating figure, having been raised in a Mormon family and involved in a wrangle with a cult leader before relocating to Hollywood. We’re very much ready for KANDICE, the raven-haired vamp to invite us into her bewitching world.

Sexy Siren: Danielle Egnew

Potently Sexy is how one might describe Lesbian Sex Symbol DANIELLE EGNEW who has a sensual spirit desired by women and I’m sure numerous men alike. If you’re don’t already know, KULAP VILAYSACK is pronounced “cool-lop v-lie-sock” hence she’s already one of the coolest actresses on our planet by virtue of her fashionably unique name…:) With its ever revolving list of eclectic recurring guest stars such as Miss KULAP, “Childrens Hospital” will have you laughing your asses off with its irreverent rudeness on all things medical. Shamelessly mocking beloved shows “House” and “ER”, the punchlines are both amusingly inane and insanely freaky proving laughter is indeed the best medicine. Under the Funny Or Die Banner, KULAP herself had audiences chortling at her many sketches on the web and she makes me absolutely proud to be ASIAN! Oh yeah, don’t think I didn’t notice her ample bosom which she can use to great effect as a comedienne….She Definitely Brings On Tons of Sexy Funny!!
