Her long awaited return to the small screen in “Ringer” promises to ignite once more our veneration for her which was sealed in the 8 years Sarah immortalized Buffy The Vampire Slayer. While there’s no vamps around town in her newest psychological drama, bloodsuckers of the human kind, specifically the mob are after her character Bridget Cafferty. Tackling the dual roles of twins, one an addict on the run, the other a wealthy socialite with a dark secret is utterly intriguing! There’ll be plenty twists and turns once the season gets underway as Sarah is on top form yet again. It’s as though Sarah never went away!
Femme Fatales Magazine recently christened the delectable Carlee Baker and Anya Monzikova as a Deadly Duo thanks to their salacious turn in the episode ‘Something Like Murder’. Emerging from the ashes of the canceled series “The Gates”, Skyler Samuels has come into her own and amazed the tween audience in “The Nine Lives Of Chloe King”. She’s the titular new breed of super heroine descended from Egyptian Goddesses whose awkwardness in discovering her powers is as endearing as her sharpened cat claws…I adore cats and a human/cat-like hybrid is so fascinating especially in the form of someone as adorable as Skyler. Throw in Heroes-like abilities, post-Twilight love triangle and a girl who is immortal until her 9 lives are exhausted; It’s a recipe for fascinating viewing every week and don’t forget Chloe has a poison kiss! Indeed Skyler is a kissable cutie and while still a she’s still a barely legal high schooler, the show rests on the very capable shoulders of this exciting young talent.
Meeting a Femme Fatale Starlet in the flesh has to be chalked up as one of the greatest moments in the ebb and flow of life. Actress Jules Hartley visited Singapore (she’s here for 5 days) and besides taking her sight-seeing, I got to hang out with her at my home…how cool is that! I’m awe-strucked by her beauty and also the warmth she has for people as well as animals. We chatted about her racy stint on “Femme Fatales” and her experiences being in Asia yet there’s two things that is exceptional about her. As a person, she genuinely cares about local culture, something that is diminishing in our world today due to globalisation. As a performer, she has only kind words for her peers and stresses how grateful she is to be a working actress. That’s the measure Of A Woman in this case the enthralling Miss JULES HARTLEY…:) Coincidentally, she was the leading lady in the drama “The Measure Of A Man”, her most emotional role to date as Lizzy, the daughter at her father’s death bed who reminisces how special her dad has been in her life. A standout tearjerker all the more poignant thanks to a touchingly tender performance by JULES.

Of course if you’ve seen her in the episode ‘Help Me Rhonda’ of “Femme Fatales”, she’s all edgy titillation, the dark red lipstick accentuating her manipulative gangster moll persona. After all, her character is called Molly Trevor, full of sauciness especially the scene of her cavorting with her very much married paramour…Scandalous!
