With such a lusciously sweet face, RUBY WENDELL is definitely one of the cutest actresses we’ll be earnestly looking out for at SXSW 2013. Her supporting role in the grim feature “Snap” which has Nikki Reed as its leading lady does look intriguing what with the dubstep DJ scene being the setting of this tale. Check out her reel (above) for the scene where her character Nadine invites Wendy (played by Nikki) for a girl’s night out. Expect Ruby and Nikki to be thereabouts in Austin, Texas for the premiere. Known for being a comic thanks to her appearance in NBC comedy reality show “Last Comic Standing” and a host of indie films, she shifts gears to be part of the dark obsession that’s swirling in “Snap”. Once again, just like many of the talents at this year’s edition of SXSW, RUBY has the flexibility to handle varying context while remaining an enduring sweetheart.
Nice to see the RUBY WENDELL OFFICIAL SITE has a stalk me section and RUBY’s enchanting desirability can surely lead to feelings of avidity for her. Whether she’s a blonde or brunette, RUBY is a picture of effervescent cuteness and since I’m known for having a penchant for blondes, I must say she has similarly delicate features to say British starlet Rosamund Pike. She likens herself to be the girl next door with some attitude which we do find fascinating and indeed establish her as someone to be enthused over.
Rising Starlet: Elaine Kao

Most countries have already started the festivities of the Chinese Lunar New Year and to follow suit, today’s feature is a celebration of mesmeric Asian-American actress ELAINE KAO. East Meets West in elegant fashion as this true blue Californian Valley Girl of Chinese heritage is known for being wonderful in everything she’s done. On stage, in film and on TV, ELAINE shimmers with dexterity which has seen her switch from character to character with nimble motility. She appeared in “Bridesmaids”, one of the smash comedies of 2011 opposite Kristen Wiig as one half of a couple shopping for jewelry. She’s probably garnered a fair bit of attention after that and judging from positive press from a range of respected media on her amazing theatre work, she’s one to keep tabs on. The ELAINE KAO OFFICIAL SITE would be the essential portal when you’re looking into her crystal ball of projects coming in this Dragon Year of 2012.
Regular guest spots on hit shows such as “NCIS:LA”, “The Closer” and “Entourage” has allowed her the avenue to express herself with such engaging poise. If you’re a fan of the darkly satirical “Six Feet Under”, Elaine was endearing on it and in her upcoming romantic comedy “Wedding Palace”, she’s set to replicate that serene cuteness. A smile does go a long way in being extra appealing and ELAINE has one to meet our warmest approval. ELAINE’s soft-spoken charms are leading the way and showering affection towards her arises without fail.
Sizzling Cutie: Jenna Johnson

The spookiest week in October has arrived and what better than to showcase the beautiful faces who are a big part of some very eerie features. Let me introduce JENNA JOHNSON, leading lady of the supernatural short film “The Graveyard Shift” who will ostensibly inspire great affection. She fondly recalls “The Graveyard Shift” as her druggie debut and since it’s screening at the New Orleans Horror Film Festival on the 28th of October, we’ll be able catch her gripping performance. The teaser clip of her character foaming in the mouth after a drug overdose is as mysterious as the circumstances that led to her predicament and will leave you wanting answers in a hurry. Written and directed by April Wright who has won numerous awards for her work in independent cinema means its a must-see! Women in-front and behind the camera are a one-two punch that’s pretty irresistible. That might also have something to do with JENNA’s telling cuteness…:)
It used to be Helen of Troy had the face that launched a thousand ships back in the day but being enigmatic should have been in the reckoning too. JENNA’s demure smile is one to treasure and if you’ve seen her retro photo shoot, you’ll acknowledge that she would have been a perfect embodiment of exuberant beauty in whichever era. I would love to see her cast in those comedies where coyness were the order of the day, harking back to the time when Doris Day used to enthrall audiences, particularly when JENNA herself is endowed with delightful girl-next-door qualities. That’s a partiality that resides in my predilection for cuties and JENNA does get me ever willing to watch her as she must have already done for many others.
Quirky Saucy: Katy Townsend

Sexiness is omnipotent, quirkiness is divine and in Scottish actress KATY TOWNSEND, we find both bewitching facets shimmering within her. Even though she’s based in LA, I bet she’s been beguiling the West End for some time. As you know West End is in Glasgow where KATY hails from and of course, her accent is blissfully mesmerizing. There’s a local lingo used by Glaswegians that I stumbled upon recently and the phrase ‘She’s a wee stoater’ best describes her. It means to be an exceptionally pretty gal and KATY’s foxy, striking features which is an electrifying mix of gothic chic and cheeky cuteness will have us in her thrall. The pic of her in the ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’ yellow tee (above) expresses the naughty attitude she radiates and her turn as a fairy in the short film “New World” speaks highly of KATY’s nymph-like uniqueness. She does wear the pigtails with an innocence that’s spellbinding.
Likewise, I was besotted after watching her in “Kill Katie Malone” which also stars Dean Cain. Her character Amy buys a ghost from the net in order to save a group of friends from the spirit’s vile intentions. Now how cool is that, being able to purchase your very own “Casper” or in this case a Hellish abomination! Her upcoming projects will be just as interesting so make sure to drop by the KATY TOWNSEND OFFICIAL SITE. One being “Neighbors”, an indie comedic drama delving into the tangled web of neighborly affairs. Honestly I haven’t seen Sean Patrick Thomas since he shone with Julia Stiles in “Save The Last Dance” but one can foresee the funky KATY to turn on the charm. Fellow Scots Kelly McDonald (“Boardwalk Empire”) and Karen Gillan (“Dr Who”) have been grabbing the headlines lately and this could well be the year when KATY introduces herself to the world as an emerging starlet.
Indie Princess: Rachel Riley

Since RACHEL RILEY is steadily making her presence felt in horror movies, it’s only a matter of time before she’s crown the newest terror hottie on the block. Her passion for the more gruesome cinematic moments means she’s ideal for the much beloved horror chick breed who usually has to scream her lungs out. She has announced on the RACHEL RILEY OFFICIAL SITE that’s she been drowned in real ice water, intestines eaten by zombies, shot with an arrow then speared through the chest, and munched on by a huge monster…on film of course. Now there’s some appetite for fatalities! For all her bloody endeavors onscreen, she has threaded lighter fare such as the role of broken-hearted lesbian Erica from the raunchy comedy “MILF”…oh yeah she kisses a girl and likes it! You would harbor similar thoughts too once you’ve seen her in a bikini; She sure has a sumptuously lissome figure and yeah, Summer’s not quite over so I did promise to feature Bikini Babes…:) She does have a spunky cuteness with an attractiveness comparable to say fellow actress Marley Shelton.
Catch Rachel as a pretty scientist in “Lizard Boy”, a not so typical indie horror flick about the horrible consequences of unlawful DNA cloning resulting in the freak of nature that is a scaly human/lizard hybrid. Sounds like they’ve stolen a march on “The Amazing Spider Man” which we know has The Lizard, a product of reptilian experimentation. I love that she gravitates towards twisted yet interesting parts including the lead in the freaky “Gacy House” that employs the environmental eeriness seen via hand-held cameras. Rachel is firing on all cylinders chasing her dream in LA and it’s a cinch to compliment this enthusiastic young talent. Danielle Harris has perfectly retooled herself into one of the hottest Scream Queens in the business and there’s every chance we could be talking about Rachel Riley in the same breath.
Sexiest Actresses At Film4 FrightFest 2011
Natalie Victoria in “Deadheads”
![]() |
As you might already now Natalie Victoria is in London for the screening for her movie “Deadheads” at this year’s Frightfest. They say love is undying and that’s how much her character Ellie means to one of the leading men (Mike played by Michael McKiddy) on this kick-ass zombie comedy…even after zombiefication, she’s still his infatuation! Oh and it’s not all puppy love as Natalie does get to rip hearts out in her second role as a vicious Zombie Bride. Get her on Season 2 of “The Walking Dead”…let’s perk up the melodrama with Miss Natalie’s winning smile as we already know she has bite…:) As sweet as nectar with a bombshell appeal, everyone should develop an addiction for Natalie in a hurry.

Shanley Caswell & Spencer Locke in “Detention”
![]() |

Why do i adore Shanley Caswell? Because she granted me an Exclusive Interview as soon as I contacted her via Facebook and her accommodating personality is to be treasured. Why do i adore Spencer Locke? Because she has an irrepressible cuteness that’s on par with Glee’s Dianna Agron. Together they may be the opposite spectra of youthful exuberance (or is it angst) yet the delectable duo shines in the slasher “Detention” that’s been called everything from visually trippy horror to a surge of teen culture and dark humor. While Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy were icons of the 80s thanks to The Breakfast Club which ranks as influential to certain scenes in “Detention”, Shanley and Spencer themselves are set to be role models for their generation.

Maya Hazen & Maria Olsen in “Vile”
![]() |
![]() |
A film that’s inspired by “Hostel”…that’s the premise of “Vile”, a shocker that has a group of people taken by force and subjected to brutal experiments Nazi style! You would know that this very blog was borne out of my fascination with all things gorno and this has two ladies who have been exceptionally active on the horror scene. At the very start of the trailer (above), one of the hardest working women in horror Maria Olsen forebodes of the terror to come in a British accent no less. She’s an extraodinary character actress able to embody a diverse number of faces horror has ever seen. Maya Hazen is a Japanese American cutie with the charisma to spice up any feature most notably in the US remake of “Shutter”.

Sara Paxton in “The Innkeepers”
![]() |
Now here’s a busy actress that’s rapidly making a name for herself in the horror/thriller genre. Sara Paxton could certainly be the one to challenge Danielle Harris for the throne of prevalently dynamic Horror Princess…something we might never have expected from her seeing how she previously starred in much light-hearted fare such as a mermaid in Aquamarine. An intense turn as a rape victim in “The Last House On The Left” remake has lead to enthralling upcoming roles in “Shark Night 3D” and “The Innkeepers”. While the former sees her as the sexy bikini-clad eye candy with a tough mental exterior, the latter is all about her ability to illustrate charm under duress amidst the slow-burning eerieness crafted by the expert direction of Ti West.

Melissa George in “A Lonely Place To Die”
![]() |
Melissa George and her peers such as Anna Torv, Yvonne Strahovski, Rachael Taylor, etc. have been captivating our hearts for a number of years, showing both guile and exquisiteness we’ve come to covet. Add pioneering hotties such as Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts as well as a wave of new sweethearts such as Rachel Carpani (the lead of new show “Against The Wall”) and it’s clear the Aussie Starlet Invasion into Hollywood is at a high. Certainly Melissa George is quite the stunner and surely must have one of the most beautiful lips in the business! Her run of physically demanding roles such as the one in “A Lonely Place To Die” could have her lauded as an action star but she’s just as capable of showing an air of vulnerability in the quieter scenes.
Sizzling Cutie: Lianne Spiderbaby

As a writer for Fangoria Magazine, LIANNE SPIDERBABY weaves thought-provoking perspectives on a complete spectrum of horror-related topics. One can almost compare her expertly crafted articles to the web that a spider magically spins. Then we come to the ‘Baby’ part of her name which is an unmissable nod to her baby-faced allure. Currently Scream Queen Of The Month for August 2011, she has a supporting role in “TBK: Toolbox Murders 2″, the blood-soaked sequel to its creepily, gory predecessor. She has launched her new series “Fright Bytes” on Youtube, treating us horror devotees to absorbing horror reviews, interviews with the stars and giving us the lowdown on conventions that’s all the rage. Ensure you don’t miss the very first episode ‘Scream 4′ as LIANNE spoofs the opening scene from the original “Scream: made famous by Drew Barrymore. She kept me entertained throughout and goes to show that she is as adept at acting as she is at writing reviews. Notably her critique on the “I Spit On Your Grave” remake evoked strong reaction from readers both supporting her views as well as some pretty nasty personal attacks with her in the crosshairs. Whether she ruffled some feathers or struck a raw nerve with her opinions on the film being a tad discriminatory to the female gender, we should still recognize she did raise compelling points in the well-researched article. Visit the LIANNE SPIDERBABY OFFICIAL SITE and get to know her in depth…in my opinion, she’s awesomely talented!
Fans can look forward to the LIANNE’s very first book “Grindhouse Girls”, detailing the emergence of exploitation actresses and the female movement in genre film from the 70′s/80′s. She’s quickly becoming a champion of female empowerment in cinema and is constantly striving to do even more. LIANNE serves as an inspiration to so many, who like her are doing their bid to promote horror and the performers that elevate the genre to become its highest reach globally.
NYLA Film Fest Hottie Special: Ravishing Redhead Natalie Sutherland
![]() |
![]() |
Judging from her red carpet pics at the NYLA Film Fest, NATALIE SUTHERLAND is ever so luminously exquisite. She is of course the star of FUCKEN’ AMERICANS, the dramedy that has a gorgeous Scottish gal searching for her true self after being dumped by her lover. I’m especially stoked they chose to let NATALIE converse in her native Scottish accent which according to some sources is a measure of one’s trustworthiness. Hence she delivers an honest emotion-laden performance (she plays EMMA), noticeably broken-hearted as seen in the sneak peek clip (above)….Hey that’s Melrose Place alum Grant Show opposite her! Akin to a female version of Scottish folk hero William Wallace, her character looks for independence in love on her own fearless terms. Even though she sports a very cool accent, NATALIE’s extensive dialect skills has enable her to take on numerous American roles. She was a CIA Assassin in the episodic actioner “Contigency” and distinguished herself playing the Crazed Sexy Witch Rebecca in indie horror “Birth Rite”. Definitely, “The Craft” started my obsession with FOXY spellcasters and since then the TV Show “Charmed” plus movies like “Practical Magic”, “5ive Girls”, etc. have bewitched me! Watching NATALIE as a Wicca Channeling Vixen means I need to get my hands on a copy of “Birth Rite”….oh I’ve heard that’s a priceless scene of NATALIE stripping off her counselor’s clothes using magic…;)
NATALIE is yet another stirring talent from the British Isles who first blossomed in theater and currently enjoys success as a fabulous indie starlet. See how she never fails to captivate at the NATALIE SUTHERLAND OFFICIAL SITE. Her foray into Hollywood is most certainly welcome as she’s a genuine dazzler onscreen; From her distinctive cherubic cuteness to the way she so vividly articulates the varying facets of the role she’s essaying, warm approval for NATALIE should easily come from all quarters…:)
