Rising Starlet: Olivia Henry

 alt=  alt=

It’s been a while since I’ve done an online interview with a beguiling talent and OLIVIA HENRY happens to be an actress/singer who can drive you wild. Her devilishly sexy eyes are certain to have an hypnotizing effect and she has the desirable looks that would dazzle in a role of any era. So without further ado, I’ll let her enthrall as she talks about starring in “Werewolf In a Girls Sorority” screening on October 15th and how she prefers to essay dark roles as an actress.

INTERVIEW WITH THE ENCHANTING OLIVIA HENRY

1. Give us a little insight about your role in “Werewolf in a Girls Sorority” and what was it like working on the film.

Donna Sommers was Andy’s “clumsy girl” of the film. I think he likes watching me fall and make a fool out of myself. Ha. I’m pretty good at it. Working on the film I would liken to having a BBQ pool party with a bunch of awesome people while having great conversations over drinks. It was so much fun! Never feels like work.

2. How stoked are you that “Werewolf in a Girls Sorority” is screening at the Twin Cities Film Fest 2012? Will you be dazzling up the red carpet?

I’m so stoked! That’s actually just the word I would use too… It’s fantastic! I’m so thrilled to be a part of what Andy is creating! His ideas and execution of his work is so different then anything that I have worked on in the past, or anything that’s being done today for that matter. I wish that I could be there for the red carpet, but unfortunately I won’t be able to make this one. Maybe next year if I’m so lucky.

3. What would be your dream role?

That’s a hard one to answer, I have so many dream roles! But the first thing that comes to my head is I’ve not yet seen an amazing biopic on the incomparable Maria Callas. I spent many years training as a classical vocalist and it would be my dream to pay homage to one of my biggest idols. It’s said she died of a broken heart.

4. Who is the one actor you can’t wait to star with and why?

I know so many people say this but its obvious why, Jim Carrey. He’s fucking brilliant. But if we are going to go a little bit of a less transparent route I’d say Vera Farmiga. Her subtleties on screen make my head spin. I love her, I love everything she does.

5. Your focus has shifted to music recently. Can you tell us more about life as a singer?

I actually started as a singer. It was my first love and closest to my heart. People often ask me which I would rather do, and my answer is always both. It all stems from the same place, performance is performance. For me though it is much scarier singing my songs then acting in anything. You put your soul on the line when you write your own music, and there is a rush you get when you perform those songs in front of a live audience. I’ve become addicted to it. I’m also going to be releasing my first E.P. by the end of this year! I’m super excited and terrified of course.

6. I read that you’re a gamer and did some voice-over for 3D games. What’s the most fun aspect of that experience?

I am! Voice over is a blast, and one of my favorite things to do. I worked on a project by Square ENIX a bit ago called “Front Mission Evolved”. I played Adela, Wizard and Gloria for voice over and I did the motion capture for those characters as well. I can’t tell you enough how much fun it was. You get paid to make up crazy voices for different characters in my case, and play “make believe” with little glowing balls covering your body. What’s better then that?!

7. Actors regularly live out the different facets of a character. What are the type of roles that get you excited?

Dark. Twisted. I like to dig deep for roles, playing characters that are very different then myself. Villains for example. These characters tend to be more multifaceted, so that gives me a lot of room to play and plenty for a director to mold with. I’m also a big fan of period pieces, dialects are my forte and my look tends to lend itself well to the past.

8. Any juicy updates on your future projects?

Well, I’m excited to say that my album is nearly complete, which means performances and a possible tour. A film noir piece is in the works with KJ Downes as well as a beautiful, heart breaking Indie called “The Fifth Season” by up and coming writer David Trisko. Sandra McCoy and I (who is also in Werewolf) are also going to be in a new Web Series together. I don’t think I can say the name quite yet, but it is in the works.

9. If given the choice, which is the one country besides the US you would want to spend time filming a feature?

Italy. Hands down. I unfortunately have not been over seas yet, but from my own studies and friends stories, I think it might be one of the most beautiful places on the planet. I want to go there.

10. Finally, is there anything you would like to tell your fans and admirers out there?

Thank you so much! I’m unbelievable grateful and humbled by your support and I’ll keep putting stuff out there for your viewing and listening pleasure! And please check out my music and like me on the OLIVIA HENRY FACEBOOK PAGE. Thank you again!

Sizzling Cutie: Amy Locicero

 alt=  alt=

What a way to end ScreamFest by frightening the living daylights out us with the World Premiere of “Cassadaga” and right here I’m featuring the hotties who make it all happen, one being the dazzling AMY LOCICERO. She has a pivotal role in this thriller which meshes the classic slasher with a demented serial killer and revengeful paranormal activity from the grave. You may have stumbled upon those promo pics on the web of AMY as Jennifer Eastman, the avenging female spirit, her devilishly sinister appearance formidably terrifying. As one of the victims monstrously murdered by the ‘Human Marionette’ slayer, she wreaks havoc upon a young woman by the name of Lily Morel, consequently setting off a gruesome chain of events. For someone so glowingly photogenic, kudos are to be handed out to AMY for what will be a haunting performance under some very revolting make-up or in her words truly creep-tastic! A visit to the AMY LOCICERO OFFICIAL SITE reveals she’s pretty busy on the acting front. I learned that she was in the running for “Charlie’s Angels” which has not surprisingly been canceled and faster than you can say ‘Charlie Who?’, AMY’s scored a role on MTV’s upcoming series “The Inbetweeners”.

Couch potatoes will know this is the American remake of the hit UK sitcom that reveled in its crude humor of gloating sexual conquests and British middle-class youthful awkwardness. Just as how Shameless (the other UK series that was re-imagined) gained a popular following, “The Inbetweeners” could yet be another gem and we can’t wait for AMY to sparkle, having done so before on “Drop Dead Diva”. AMY is quite the dainty beauty with a cultivated sumptuousness and research has shown women who tenderly beam are undeniably attractive at which point I allude to AMY’s fetching smile. This actress/model/host is well on her way to becoming a fixture on those perennial ‘Sexy Lists’ and she’s doing it without ever needing to be a tease.

Hot TV Vixens Of Summer Part 4

Courtney Halverson in “Death Valley”

 alt=  alt=

Whenever an actress utters “SLUT” on camera, it’s always priceless and vivacious Courtney Halverson does it ever so brilliantly on upcoming series “Death Valley”. We’ve seen it all before; vamps,werewolves and zombies biting for screen time (Dylan Dog comes to mind) yet MTV is hoping fans come on board in droves for its reality TV-like grit involving an Undead Task Force, pop culture humor and of course the bevy of hotties…:) Renowned for her dramatic turns in “Godspeed” and “Hamill”, she’s now spicing up Summer TV. Courtney plays Natalie who partakes in ‘Turning’ parties where blood is drained as impressionable girls turned into vamps!! Looks like Ravishing Redhead Courtney could become just as much a temptation as Deborah Ann Woll from “True Blood”.

NICOLE MOORE in “Femme Fatales”

 alt=  alt=

“Femme Fatales” is undeniably one of Cinemax’s stirringly raunchy skin fests to date and it’s great that the show let the women wield the power of seduction. As protagonists with tons of feminine wilds, a host of talented actresses dish our sheer captivation usually wearing little clothing. One such yummy performer is none other than Nicole Moore who stars in the film-noirish episode “Haunted”. Miles away from the meek ladies of “Boardwalk Empire” which was an unfortunate product of that bygone era, Nicole is devilishly delicious as a woman possessed who brings death to idealistic men! The babe-heavy “Sorority Row” introduced this sexy brunette and from then on, NICOLE has left us in awe of her stimulating aura that any real-life Femme Fatale would be proud of…:)

CODY KENNEDY in “CSI:NY”

 alt=  alt=

It’s true that we can’t get enough of Cody Kennedy and when she donned a very saucy schoolgirl outfit in “CSI:NY”, our obsession grew tenfold. She more than fulfilled those Lolita fantasies we so often have and proves why she’s headed for big things. Besides a young talent on the ascendancy, she’s a breathtaking model and is a Video Vixen, having graced the music clips of Miley Cyrus and Leona Lewis. Now it seems, Cody is heading towards some heavy infatuation as a TV Starlet as she’s been appearing in a clutch of hit shows. Not that we haven’t had strong desires to follow her work especially since she’s pleasantly personable…oh and the small detail that Cody succinctly indicated she loves being on my Hot Lists. It’s an honor to rave about someone as infectiously appealing as her.

Polly Shannon in “Rookie Blue”

 alt=  alt=

Polly Shannon is a devastatingly gorgeous charmer that recently was a scene stealer in “Shattered” as the kooky mistress Naomi of MPD-afflicted detective Ben Sullivan. This time around in the new season of “Rookie Blue”, she plays Tori, a sassy bartender who’s a suspect in a drug smuggling case. She once admitted in an interview that she doesn’t have the boobs and the butt for some of the racier scenes but it’s likely her fans would collectively disagree. By the way in the episode “Might Have Been” (see above), Polly has a saucy kissing scene and surely by now you’re drawn to her distinctively foxy eyes that are so hypnotic! There’s lots of reasons why Polly Shannon is coveted in many circles as this Canadian Cutie is always brimming with exuberance, possessing a bubbly demeanor that’s mega fascinating.

JESSICA EMBRO in “Covert Affairs”

 alt=

She’s promised to brew coffee in anticipation of my trip to Canada and the planned visit to meet Canadian actress Jessica Embro in person can’t come soon enough. Particularly since this strikingly statuesque dazzler has revealed some juicy updates about her role on Season 2 of “Covert Affairs” (specifically episode 6 next week) and her appearance as a farm girl on “Little Mosque On The Prairie”. Although, we may not yet get our hands on any teasers with the luscious Jessica in them, satiate yourselves with the trailer (above) of her spooky thriller “Off Season”. A recent review of the horror flick points to the fine screen presence of Jessica who’s the female lead. Blessed with the ability to be authentically emotive on camera, we can’t wait for Jessica to set alight TV Land.

Hot Actress #457 – Kimberly Parmon: Sizzling Cutie

 alt=  alt=

Do you know what’s the sweetest thing? Discovering bright, young actresses from every corner of the world, watching them larger than life in High or Standard definition and praising the impeccable things they do on a daily basis. Kimberly Parmon is one such sweetheart we all should get to know especially since she’s headlining the fantastical indie ‘LISL AND THE LORLOCK’. Awarded Best Feature at the Idyllwild Independent Festival of Cinema 2011, this moody, tension-building piece reminds one of “The Shining” and 1986′s horror flick “House”, teasing us with the LORLOCK, a spider-like creature that could just be the Boogeyman! There’s an uneasy suspense to the movie and sees KIMBERLY playing Mischa (mother of young heroine LISL) who may or may not succumb to the malevolent LORLOCK. Watch the awesome trailer (above) and at the 1:23 mark, you’ll be able to catch her evil side, entertaining threatening thoughts with an AX. Guess we’ll have to catch its entirety to find out if she does indeed become the female version of Psycho Jack ala Jack Nicholson as she retreats into her own world courtesy of the psychic energy feeding LORLOCK. Billed as a horror fairy tale for the whole family to enjoy, I can’t wait for it to reach my shores to savor delectable KIMBERLY…:)

If you’re already enticed by her devilishly sexy eyes and sultry voice, then you must also know she’s delightfully cordial in person…I thoroughly cherish my online correspondences with her…:) Ahhhh…..Independent Film Sirens like the very bubbly KIMBERLY PARMON are such endearing figures; Can’t live without them and can’t wait to take in their beauty. Her moniker Super Parmanova on MYSPACE clearly spells out the enchanting effect this brunette unmistakably has..:)
