Our passion for ladies from the British Isles is well-documented and the enthrallingly beautiful NICOLA POSENER has us thoroughly captivated. Seeing how she shone in the darkly violent “Axed” even though many reviewers criticized for the plot holes, she’s on the fast road to success. As Megan, the daughter of a man who goes psycho on his family after losing his job, she gave a realistic elucidation of a rebellious daughter on the cusp of sexuality. NICOLA is a reactive actress, bringing verve to every role she’s taken on and she proved intriguingly wonderful in “Axed”. Just like Gemma Atherton, Tamsin Egerton and Juno Temple, NICOLA POSENER is possibly the next English Rose to light up Hollywood. While she is returning to the horror genre once more in the supernatural flick “Crypt”, British audiences would have seen her on TV in “House Of Anubis” and “Casualty”. On set, her easy-going nature has set well with directors and cast-mates who have lauded her cordiality. Doesn’t everyone wish they had someone like NICOLA brightening up the day at the office…:)
All the more reason to drop by the NICOLA POSENER OFFICIAL SITE where there’s plenty of information on her current projects. Imagine my surprise when she told me she would happily participate on my blog, once again affirming the graciousness actresses do have. Short of sounding like a broken record, many do often ask why my praises for them is ceaseless. It’s because again and again, they have pleasantly amaze me with their responsive kindness. NICOLA certainly treasures her fans and with her track record of being blissfully watchable, she’s plausibly a starlet on the rise.
GEORGIA GOODRICK is the English Hottie whose name is going to be on everyone’s lips since she’s headlining “The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence”. Don’t ask me where she fits into the 12 human mouth-to-anus abomination for we are all in for a revolting experience courtesy of Crazy Genius Director Tom Six. This sequel is expected to up the ante in such a sickening way that will go over and above the nauseating gruesomeness of its predecessor. Threading the footsteps of actresses Ashlynn Yennie and Ashley C. Williams who amazed us with the explicit bondage Euro-horror of notorious hit “The Human Centipede, GEORGIA is due for a cult following too. Mark the date September 22nd and watch her in “THC 2: Full Sequence” premiering at the cinematic extravaganza that is Fantastic Fest 2011 to be held in Austin,Texas. Controversially disturbing stories do bring out the best in any actor and we have a good inkling GEORGIA will sharply deliver on the shocks!
No stranger to psychological trepidation onscreen, GEORGIA thrives in situational terror that plagues the mind as the one her character encounters in the spooky lo-fi horror debut flick “Ouija Board”. In fact, she’s also invested into another bleak role as a troubled prostitute in the upcoming short “The Caravan”. Visit the GEORGIA GOODRICK OFFICIAL SITE for the latest updates on all her projects. Vulnerably comely in the same vein as horror starlet Scout Taylor-Compton (they could be sisters!) albeit with a pleasing British charm, she’s an inviting prospect. This year could indeed be the launching pad for her as a star-of-tomorrow.
Simone-Élise Girard in “The Weight Of Emptiness”
What better than to showcase the wonderful Simone-Élise Girard, star of “The Weight Of Emptiness” (Le Poids Du Vide) which is having its world premiere at TIFF 2011 on 12th September. She’s already given me a heads up on how intense the short film will be and the trailer (above) suggests an enigma well worth watching. One can tell it’s a bewildering allegory of the sometimes strained relationship between a mother and her child (Boy floats through the air while his mum struggles to keep him near). Simone herself is endowed with an endearing mystique that’s bound to add gravitas to the events that will unfold in the suspenseful tale. The amiable warmth of this French-Canadian Starlet is also another one of her many gifts which is always a crowd pleaser. Fall in love with this talent with the natural instincts to enchant.
Jessica Embro in “Good Boy”
She’s been called one of the most authentic performers on film and as as a fan/friend of Jessica Embro, I wholeheartedly agree. The raven-haired beauty does invest emotionally in many of the characters she plays although she’s more subdued in “Good Boy”. It’s a story of a golden retriever who starts to lose the lovable attention of his owners, what with a bundle of joy in the family due to arrive and jealousy starts to rage within the dog! I’m inclined to affectionately call Jessica the Short Film Darling having garnered attention for her work on “Measuring Tape Girl” and now with “Good Boy”. She’s also set to be a scene stealer in the upcoming “14 Minutes” as a soon to be hitched American woman who meets with a Canadian stranger on a road trip and ends up questioning the very idea of marriage. Infatuated with her yet…well you must in a hurry!
Noureen DeWulf in “Breakaway”
“Breakaway” is a Canadian film generating strong buzz with its upbeat Bollywood inspired musical set pieces, bouncy humor amidst culture clashes and blossoming romance in the confines of Hockey, Canada’s National Sport. It’s even bewitched Hollywood with Rob Lowe and Camille Belle making their presence felt alongside cameos by luminaries such as rapper Ludacris, Drake and Indian screen heartthrob Akshay Kumar. That’s all great but of course, red-blooded males can’t wait to watch the always luscious Miss Noureen DeWulf sizzle! Will the buxom actress get to shake her money maker in one of the many enjoyable dances? Having gone visceral as a burqa covered punk in “The Taqwacores”, Noureen is proving to be quite the impactful actress. Shattering the notion of being just a sexy, pretty face, she enthralls with ease.
Rebecca Hall in “The Awakening”
While there’s still no trailer for the post-war thriller “The Awakening”, the intriguing images of Rebecca Hall looking all flustered in the role of a skeptical ghost hunter alongside co-star Dominic West would be enough to entice viewers. The busy actress is expected to dazzle TIFF 2011, promoting this haunting tale of apparitions and a woman whose a staunch unbeliever of ghost stories until an event drastically alters her perception! Lauded as a thinking man’s Sex Symbol and for portraying brainy women often with a nervous energy, one can say she has an unconventional foxiness. Comfortable as a dowdy plain Jane or a sassy Femme Fatale on screen, she does have a cultured poise that’s downright quaint and appealing. So intimately stirring in “The Town”, she did win a TV BAFTA for her shocking performance in “Red Riding”, showing us how much of a multi-faceted actress she can be.
MyAnna Buring in “Kill List”
She was in two of my all-time favorite British films namely “The Descent” and “Doomsday”. It would have been three if the campy “Lesbian Vampire Killers” was regarded as a true horror movie…hehe. I’m refering to MyAnna Buring, the Swedish-born English Rose who is swiftly racking up them gritty roles. Her latest mystery “Kill List” however could rank as another gem as it opts for psychological terror, the kind that has people talking long after they’ve experienced the movie. Of course, rabid fans will get a helping of her as the “vegetarian” vamp Tanya of the Denali Clan, cousins of the Cullen Family in Breaking Dawn, the concluding double feature of the beloved saga that is “Twilight”. This delectable blonde with the cute dimple chin is rightly making a splash in Hollywood after memorable turns in lower-budget fare which she still continues to take on.
English Rose JESSICA CLARK is wonderfully mesmerizing and she has a way of making everyone around her feel comfortable. It’s a gut feeling but I reckon she’s tipped for popularity with audiences from both sexes. Yup Jessica is a proud lesbian yet one feels her heavenly multi-ethnic exoticness is desirable to us men too. She readily admits to getting hit on quite a lot by us guys! On top of it, to have a fellow hottie such as Barbara Niven commend JESSICA on her natural on-camera instincts as well as those kissable lips is flattery with good reason. Barbara is of course JESSICA’s co-star in the erotic drama “The Perfect Ending” that has JESSICA’s high-priced call girl Paris igniting the deepest desires of Barbara’s character Rebecca; the longing for love that takes Rebecca on a sensual yet passionate lesbian affair. JESSICA herself is set to take things to a racier level as a trophy wife Chantal in the Cinemax series “Chemistry” and there’s guaranteed to be a skin-tastic moment or two…;) Catch the scene (above) of a laid-back Jessica looking all bohemian and extolling the virtues of her man, especially his huge package…hehe.
She’s also prominent for her honest revelations of relationships and dating on her LESBIAN LOVE vlog. Speaking from her own experience, JESSICA projects an intimacy that’s universally appealing. Case in point, who can ever forget how she scorched up superstar Usher’s music video “Burn“. Following in the footsteps of Keira Knightley and Gemma Arterton, this could be the biggest year yet for the budding young talent that is JESSICA CLARK. In the latest season of “True Blood”, she’ll tempt you while in the throes of crimson blood as Lilith!
A consummate character actress on both English and Spanish productions, PAULINA GALVEZ radiates sensuality each time she takes to the screen. Those gorgeous curls of hair, eminent cheekbones and mesmerizing Chilean/Spanish roots means she has all the makings of a Latin Sex Symbol. Many will remember her super hot sex scene from the independent sci-fi thriller Rottweiler where she plays her character Alyah with animalistic seduction despite her dowdy facade. With a daughter in tow, her ravishing of the hero of the film seems to be borne of motherly instinct. Even as Detective Ana Karina in the bilingual series “RPM Miami” on Telemundo, she never fails to entice…think Lauren Velez as the sassy Lt. Maria LaGuerta from “Dexter” and with her very own commanding aura that men intently fancy. Amidst the gearheads, fast-paced thrills and hot bodies, Paulina is marvelous as the forward thinking, bisexual cop. With “RPM Miami” renewed for a second Season after a ratings high, will PAULINA be there to generate even more heat??
The PAULINA GALVEZ OFFICIAL SITE and PAULINA GALVEZ OFFICIAL BLOG are essential viewing if you’re a fan. In her words, she’s an actress who very much follows her heart and her plucky, often daring performances over the years have lit up the screen. From her days as Marta, the Gypsy servant on ‘The Queen Of Swords’ and her various incarnations spanning several genres, it’s clear she infuses an unflinching feisty side in tandem with her undeniable Spanish sultriness. I was pleasantly surprised with her character’s swearing on the horror flick “The Nun”. Having been part of more than 30 features both in Europe and the US, this under-rated talent is steadily gaining the recognition she deserves.
Fetching English Honey KIMBERLY JARAJ is unquestionably flying high as a blossoming talent from the British Isles. Starring as a stewardess fighting to survive on board a doomed flight in the upcoming thriller “Airborne”, success is waiting just round the corner for this comely blonde. She may have missed out on working with the late Roy Scheider of “Jaws” fame but she’s cast alongside ‘Mr Luke Skywalker” himself Mark Hamill in “Airbone”, a tale full of supernatural Hitchcockian twists added to its plane hijack plot that we’re looking ahead to savoring. Together with UK Sex Symbol Gemma Atkinson who plays chief flight attendant, they make for captivating eye candy but the gals are widely expected to be involved in some serious action! Having read her Shoot Diary, KIMBERLY’s character Laura has to fend off a crim with a bottle in one of the more riveting scenes. Her hard work on British TV as well as features has paid off with this leading role that’s already creating positive publicity for her. Rumors are also rife that Russell Brand has plans to join KIMBERLY in her new comedy “The 10 Year Itch”…that’s pretty juicy news!! With her flowing long hair and lissome elegance, she’s one for adoring eyes…:) For someone who delves into the challenge of playing varying personas, she was wonderful as the lovelorn sister of a London-based Jordanian in the lesbian drama “I Can’t Think Straight” and had a supporting role in the tense slow-burner “Knife Edge”.
Having gone through the harshest of trials and tribulations as a young ballerina in the prestigious Royal Ballet School, she’s moved on and coped impeccably with the pressures of being an entertainer. Besides gracing our screens ever so beautifully, she’s a spokesmodel for London Loves LA, a blog shop selling vintage apparel. Hey Pippa Middleton! You’re not the only one us males around the world have designs on. We may have differing tastes but I’m certain we are united on being captivated by their enticingly fair-skin and seductively posh accents. Even Canadian teen phenom Justin Bieber acknowledges the attractiveness of British girls and you can include the sumptuous KIMBERLY JARAJ in that hot list…:)
Her performance in ‘DEAD CERT’, the “Lock, Stock & Smoking Barrels” meets “Hammer’s Classic Dracula” Brit flick has JENNIFER MATTER impressively sinking her teeth into the role of the dangerously sexy bloodsucker Tatiana. She imbues her sultry blonde Euro-vamp with a sadistic edge and the predatory instincts of the undead….luckily there’s not one emo-vampire around enabling us to enjoy JENNIFER’s wildly aggressive side in the film. We are all crying out for a modern day temptress of darkness in the mold of Ingrid Pitt and Jennifer could be the one to step up. Not that she’s limiting herself to horror since she’s known for being the female lead of the tense indie ‘PAINTBALL’ where the fun and games turned deadly in a hurry and will also appear in ‘STALKER’, the compelling remake of 1976 thriller ‘EXPOSE’. While the low-budget original dispenses bucket loads of gore and sex, the re-imagining has plenty of hair-raising psychological elements.
Looking every bit drop-dead gorgeous, JENNIFER MATTER is an actress who doesn’t just deliver by the book performances choosing instead to emphasize the varying facets of the character she embodies. Having been part of several intriguing projects, it’s clear that the blonde siren has the bewitching factor that endears herself to audiences. This girl has plenty of BITE that’s undeniably winning us over!
Parallels can be drawn between the Canadian indie thriller ‘DIE’ and the ‘SAW’ Franchise as both films have victims who are drawn into a game of survival that ultimately ends in destruction. The key difference being ‘DIE’ has an international cast of hotties notably Bond Girl Caterina Murino and Canada’s very own perennial sexy siren SIMONE-ÉLISE GIRARD which i’m featuring today. A versatile character actress, she’s equally eye-catching in both English and French productions, most notably fans will remember her 6-episodic stint on hit series ‘E.R’ flirting with main man Dr. John Carter played by Noah Wyle. Simone recently starred opposite Mr ” La Bamba” himself Lou Diamond Phillips as a lovely clairvoyant who visualizes doom in the fantastical tale about the Jersey Devil called ‘CARNY’….ooooh I can’t stop watching these creature features! This desirable brunette has the sophisticated French allure coupled with her distinctly sensual Quebec accent and the congeniality we have come to love of Canadian women.
Her heterogeneous roles have included being a homeless young mother, a Russian spy and even a mermaid in the cult series ‘THE HUNGER’ which I must make a point to hunt down every single episode! The magnetism of her dreamy eyes is one of her many attractive facets of which she has aplenty..:) Immensely watchable, SIMONE-ÉLISE GIRARD is a pleasure whenever she steps in front of the camera.
