I have to admit that I’m blessed to be surrounded by pleasantly charming women such as the ebullient MARIEVE who regularly keep me in the loop on the happenings in the industry, notably the goings-on in her career thus far. You may have seen her guest-starring on hits “How I Met Your Mother” and “Good Luck Charlie”, catching the eye ever since. On May 5th 2013, MARIEVE returns to “Good Luck Charlie” as Winnie who becomes a friend and cooking partner with leading man PJ Duncan (Jason Dolley) after crossing paths at a cooking school. With the Disney show going into its 4th and final season yet being adored by the masses, it should go a long way in elevating Canadian-born MARIEVE as a burgeoning talent.
This also means a visit to the MARIEVE HERINGTON OFFICIAL SITE is in order. Wow i just discovered she also answers fan questions on her FACEBOOK PAGE which means she’ll be able to dish a little gossip on her successes. Besides the screen, MARIEVE has also been a voice-over maven for several animated features; recently as the Hyrax on Fox’s hit “Ice Age: Continental Drift.” She also fronts Jazz act “The Marieve Herington Band” and her immaculate vocals shine every time she performs. Hot TV Vixen of Summer: Kulap Vilaysack
|
|
|
Get ready for the Laotian Goddess KULAP VILAYSACK who this week graces Episode 5 of the medical drama satire “Childrens Hospital”. She was Nurse Sandy in Season 1 and returns in Season 3 as Nurse Kulap for four episodes…crossing my fingers she’s slated to appear in more. If you’re don’t already know, KULAP VILAYSACK is pronounced “cool-lop v-lie-sock” hence she’s already one of the coolest actresses on our planet by virtue of her fashionably unique name…:) With its ever revolving list of eclectic recurring guest stars such as Miss KULAP, “Childrens Hospital” will have you laughing your asses off with its irreverent rudeness on all things medical. Shamelessly mocking beloved shows “House” and “ER”, the punchlines are both amusingly inane and insanely freaky proving laughter is indeed the best medicine. Under the Funny Or Die Banner, KULAP herself had audiences chortling at her many sketches on the web and she makes me absolutely proud to be ASIAN! Oh yeah, don’t think I didn’t notice her ample bosom which she can use to great effect as a comedienne….She Definitely Brings On Tons of Sexy Funny!! Check out the hilarious videos “Bigger Boobs” and “Token”, the latter about needing to be the exclusive eye-catching minority in a room of people. The KULAP VILAYSACK OFFICIAL TUMBLR aka ‘Laotian In Motion’ has a huge following. Could it be because she’s been in a dazzler in “The Office”, amped up the funny as a writer with Sarah Silverman and even had Julia Louise-Dreyfus allow her hand under Julia’s boob in “The New Adventures Of Christine”…hehe.
That’s for you to discover as her tumbler is adorned with interesting slices of life/geek buzz with a healthy slant on Asia-nisms which is thoroughly welcomed. KULAP has arrived in Hollywood as a result of her initiative and be seen work ethic, captivating our socks off as a charming comic. Apparently she’s into hugs so if I was near, I’d give her a huge squeeze for being so awe-inspiring. It’s time we commend her contributions in the entertainment field as she has rightly earned the adulation of her thriving fan base.
Trident Of Terror Hotties At The 4th Annual A Nightmare To Remember
REYNA YOUNG |
MEGAN FRANICH |
DEBRA LAMB |
| REYNA YOUNG – Miss Misery and Hostess Of A Nightmare To Remember |
You most certainly can call Reyna Young a Woman To Remember..:) Her passion has propelled A Nightmare To Remember, her film fest where darkness and seduction reign supreme to the forefront of independent horror. Having been the seductive hostess for this convention 4 years running, Reyna aka Miss Misery has been your enigmatic guide to all things terrifying that strike fear into our hearts. This year on June 18th, she has assembled a luscious group of special guests and a film selection that will cater to all your needs….the bloody and gory kind of course. Just like the Devil’s Pitchfork, Reyna has join forces with vixens Megan Franich and Debra Lamb to from the enticing threesome I affectionately coined ‘Trident Of Horror Hotties’. Reyna should be lauded for being an inspirational figure for giving us a night’s worth of wicked macabre.
| MEGAN FRANICH – “30 Days Of Night” Fame and Special Guest |
The ethereal doll Megan Franich is my first ever feature on a New Zealand Actress and what a thrill a minute she is…:) Renowned as Iris, the goth female vamp from “30 Days Of Night”, she conveyed the fierce animal instincts of a predator and a foreboding of terror that gets under the viewer’s skin. Even in her ghoulish form we felt sympathy as her character met an untimely end. Audiences were mesmerized by how scarily similar her portrayal in the movie was to the illustrations of Iris as depicted in the graphic novel. Check out her amazing reel (above) that showcases the onscreen potency we all know she has. Besides her comely accent, Megan’s flawless pale skin and minxish features are some of the attributes that make her so uniquely sexy. This attractive Kiwi champions being a chameleon and experimenting with extremes in her projects affirming her versatility as an entertainer.
| DEBRA LAMB – Scream Queen Legend and Special Guest |
Considered as one of the most striking B-Movie Queens of all-time, Debra Lamb has headlined countless films most notably her outstanding performance in the under-rated “Evil Spirits”. From post-apocalyptic tales to grisly slashers, it has been said that Debra exuded a kind of magic that was such a rush for the best part of a decade. The fact that she went topless in several softcore movies shouldn’t go unnoticed too as her sin-sational toned body and nubile sauciness made her the fantasy babe for many. She was after all, an exotic dancer and a Playboy Cover Girl. While I didn’t get as much opportunity to sample her sexy self (back in the day censorship when was rife in Asia), I can see why she’s revered for being an erotic force throughout her career. She clearly contributed to numerous defining moments in the horror genre. Presently, Debra is a well-known physic healer helping to relieve our stressed-up lives but plenty out there are clamoring for Debra to make her long awaited comeback with rumors swirling.

FEATURING SAGE HALL IN “CANDY”
|
The delicious trailer for “Candy” is a must see as its leading lady Sage Hall amps up the sensuality in this sweetest of horror shorts. Unquestionably, she has her amorous ways to get us excited especially seeing how voluptuously slinky she is in those black camisoles. Playing an overprotective mother who has a penchant for baking goodies, she really has some tasty treats in store…:) While this feature smacks of invigorating nostalgia thanks to the brilliant Sage who functioned as both the director and star, it has a distinctive tone that stands on its own merit. Sage is a heady combo of blue-eyed blonde bombshell and enticing innocence. Don’t know about you, but there’s just something about sexy cuties like Sage that I can’t get enough of. Blossoming nicely into one of independent film’s newest prospect in front and behind the camera, this is an up and comer we want to hear more about. She possesses a drive to make her mark on the indie scene and it won’t be long before this honey has everyone eating out of her hands…:)

FEATURING BROOKE LEWIS IN “SPRINKLES”
|
In the coming months, actress/producer/writer Brooke Lewis is going to be ever present in some of the most fascinating projects independent horror has to offer. Her fans already know her as Ms. Vampy, her alter-ego with seriously foxy bite that has became a huge hit. Taking on leading roles in highly anticipated features “Archaic Redemption” and “Mondo Holocausto” will surely see her popularity rise even further as she welcomes us into her luscious world. This Buxom brunette and photogenic beauty has tons of sass to captivate viewers for days on end. Having started her own company Philly Chick Pictures to produce entertainment with an attitude (in her words), she’s just as influential behind the scenes. Sprinkles is her newest short psychological drama/thriller that has her playing a High-priced call girl, Maura who has a seemingly chance encounter with a client, Gary (Don Danielson), while on a business trip that will take them on journey of dirty secrets, fetishes and revenge…WOW! Brooke has got me hooked!
United Film Fest Hottie Special: Indie Princess Sarah Lassez
![]() |
![]() |
She’s as fascinating as her hotpot of transitional nationalities having been born in Canada, moved on to her Aussie phase in Melbourne and now establishing herself as an New York indie starlet. SARAH LASSEZ is quite the unconventional lady admitting that her acting career goes through phases going from the virginal to the whorish stages which might include a crazy spell or two. If that makes her some sort of visionary, this must be the best phase in her life! She is of course headlining the United Film Festival 2011 as the lead in supernatural musical “The Dead Inside”. It’s compelling to note her character is called Fi having starred as a demoness in the horror comedy “Lo” previously. Evidently SARAH’s quirkiness is anything but Lo-Fi and her penchant for eccentric roles such as the spirit-possessed author Fi in “The Dead Inside” generates more than cursory intrigue. I read that SARAH has an addiction to the paranormal especially in the area of psychic phenomena so I get why she’s attuned to the spiritual dominion in many of her films. Enter her extraordinary world at the SARAH LASSEZ OFFICIAL SITE.
She’s also the author of “Psychic Junkie”, the honest memoirs of a struggling actress in the topsy-turvy entertainment business which has been featured in the New York Times, the Today Show, People Magazine and Entertainment Weekly. If you were hooked on that book back in 2006, you’ll still be enchanted by the indie maven that is SARAH LASSEZ! Not only has she worked with big guns Christopher Plummer, Dennis Hopper and Margot Kidder, SARAH is also revered for portraying a kung-fu obsessed nymphomaniac/health inspector turned savage murderess in the cult movie “Mad Cowgirl”. Full of oddball individuality, this winsome beauty has positioned herself to be one uniquely charming personality.
Hot Actress #472 – Rosa Nichols: Sexy Siren
![]() |
![]() |
Have you seen the stunning ROSA NICHOLS on the the red carpet event “Cache’ Awards” where she had a “Best Female Talent” nomination for her work on NBC series “Chase”? She takes my breath away with those flawlessly, exotic features and impeccable poise as her pics on FACEBOOK clearly display. Summer may be a matter of months away and ROSA is already a candidate for ‘Hot Girl Of Summer’; Yup she’s alluring in a bikini too. In addition to her hospitality, the versatility she has in many forms of entertainment establishes her as the total package. I’m also indebted to her for giving me the inside scoop on her projects and am thrilled that “Day 681″ was officially selected to the 2011 National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) to be held in Seattle, Washington. In the short film, Rosa plays a Loatian wife hoping to immigrate to America where her hubby awaits but things don’t go as smoothly as planned. Now you can watch some of her DEMO REELS and don’t forget to drop by the ROSA NICHOLS OFFICIAL SITE to glimpse this most angelic lady..:)
Her sexiest role to date has to be in the indie “Bicycle Bobby” as Bambi, a woman tasked to deflower a virgin, the only catch being he has celebral palsy. She’s at her saucy best at mark 1:16 of the trailer (above) and I too would love to get up close and personal with Rosa….hehe. Having been a spokesmodel for Victoria’s Secret, you would already know she’s well endowed and with her unceasingly enchanting appeal, she’s an actress I always look forward to watching…:)
Hot Actress #464 – Shannon Freyer: Sexy Siren
![]() |
![]() |
I’ve always been enchanted by the Golden age of Hollywood, how I wished for a chance to experience the 1930s/40s, the era filled with glitter and classic beauties. No prizes for guessing that the mystique of Pin-Up Dolls will never fade away and it’s invigorating when the all-female singing/dancing troupe Satin Dollz revives those glamorous days…:) One of the lovely members of Satin Dollz known as Miss Mimi is actress/model SHANNON FREYER who is a picture of sumptuousness. Cross my fingers these seductive ladies make an appearance in ASIA someday soon. Granted seeing SHANNON and her peers in their tight camisoles/girdles is a real turn on and their singing/dancing routines mesmerize each and every time! On the acting front, SHANNON’s new film “Devolved” with comic Chris Kattan is being screened this week complete with Q&A session with cast & crew after the movie…wow how I wish I could attend! In this hilarious “Cast Away” meets “Survivor” satire, high schoolers unwittingly get stranded on an island off Mexico and you’ll be see plenty of Shannon in a bikini which she looks flawless in….hehe. Now that means you make your way to the SHANNON FREYER OFFICIAL SITE.
She’s also been active in the independent horror genre, appearing in “Ding Dong Dead” and slated to star in what i think is a slasher called “Final Girl”. Will she be last woman to confront the killer as we all know has been a major plot device in numerous flicks? Well Shannon does indeed possess ravishing features to die for and a lively personality that breeds affection. With a multi-faceted background in entertainment, Shannon is readying herself for the limelight.

10 QUESTIONS WITH HORROR GOSSIP QUEEN REBEKAH HERZBERG
1. What does it take to be a horror columnist and why are we fascinated with all things terrifying?
A: People are fascinated by the unknown. Some people are in it for the adrenaline rush. The screams from the audience and the suspense are an experience that some individuals crave. For others, it’s all about entertainment and escapism. If you go to the cinemas, you’ll realize that people aren’t always screaming in fear. Some are actually laughing at something they see onscreen. This is another reason why people like horror movies. There are several types of emotions being expressed. As such it provides a form of entertainment that isn’t that different from other films.
I cannot really say what it takes to become a columnist in the industry. Any one who can complete sentences mixed with fancy words and knows everything there is to know about horror films can do this job. I don’t just write about horror films. I learn. I explore. I educate myself. Since I was a little girl my biggest goal has been to see every horror film ever made. Preferably the rare gems no one ever talks about. Those are the ones I like to watch any way. I’ve never been a big fan of the more mainstream horror films.
2. What have been your good and bad experiences throughout your career?
A: So many good experiences come with the territory. You meet amazing people. Not just the people behind the films but the fans. Other fans out there are very interesting to talk to. Bad experiences, always tape record your interviews. Catch someone when they have been drinking when all you have is a pen and paper and a couple of witnesses…they will still threaten to sue you if you print everything they say. Even if they know better. I try not to interview anyone when they’re intoxicated anymore because the last thing I want to do is offend someone in the genre. Or even get them into trouble. After all, I am a big fan…not just a journalist.
3. I love that you focus on some of the more obscure genre films, cult classics and even comics i.e. Vampirella. How do you go about picking your features for Scream TV?
A: I just pick whatever is HOT that week. The comic books mainly I get tips in from friends in that industry. I am a HUGE comic book collector so this is something I always like to feature in my columns. I want to be different then the rest of the columnists out there. Provide more information to the genre instead of repeating the same old boring news that everyone already sees on all the main websites. I ask myself, how can I stand out this week and draw more readers in? I work real hard on it…and it works.
4. Can you tell us if you idolize any of the Scream Queens and which actresses do you count as friends?
A: I don’t know about idolizing any of them but I would have to say I have always looked up to Jamie Lee Curtis. No one can scream like her. Typical answer? Probably, but everyone knows it’s true. I do have a lot of friends out there that enjoy acting in horror films but the majority of them are trying to break away from the title ‘Scream Queen.’ There are also too many women out there that give their selves that title when it isn’t exactly correct. Roxy Vandiver will always be in my favor and in my opinion the hottest.
5. I’ve read some of your posts on Facebook and come to the realization that you might actually have an angry streak. What is behind all the rage and is it a good thing?
A: (Laughs) Generally, I am a calm and mellow person who just likes to laugh. This is a problem I have, FACE BOOK! Sometimes I think of deleting it. It’s hard for me not to get on it when I have been drinking and say things I probably shouldn’t say. That’s how I deal with my problems. I talk about them. People come to me all the time saying, “Maybe you shouldn’t post this or talk about your personal life on here?” That’s where they’re wrong.
Everyone is so hypocritical. Everyone does the same exact thing! I just do it more often and don’t actually care what people think, unlike them. It has probably given me a bad Reputation but like Joan Jett I would have to say I too…do not give a damn. In a way everything that goes on in my personal life (as hard as it may be) is a good thing. It builds character. I’ve been writing a book on my life since I was 18. If I thought I had a lot to talk about then…boy was I wrong. Maybe some day I will finish the book. Just needs an ending…

6. Which do you find the most enriching? Being the go to girl for the latest in the horror biz, posing seductively for the camera as a model or embodying a kick ass character onscreen?
A: I just like to write. On the side I do modeling, acting, singing, ballet, etc.. Those are all just hobbies and nothing I plan on making a career out of. If someone comes to me with what sounds lie a fantastic shoot, of corpse I will say yes. I may always say yes. But like I said, writing is my main passion and what I always want to do with my life.
7. As a performer, what’s your take on gratuitous nudity and violence in film? Have we finally moved away from exploitation and given women a much bigger say in every aspect of film-making?
A: There are a lot of women in the industry out there making a lot of plans. They even have a ‘Women of Horror Month’ now. We discussed this on the show one night. I believe it’s every February? I do not believe exploitation is over and I hope it never is. I will never get enough of gratuitous nudity and violence! If it were up to me I could walk around everyday naked doing whatever I want but NOOOOO I have to keep it in my private home or on set. There is a lot going on overseas in the industry. Italy especially.
There are directors there trying to bring back those exploitation films and recreate them in their own way. Not even just the Italians. The Asians in the business are sick twisted individuals. I hope they never stop. Although, I cannot say too much about Ringu, Ju-On, and any film having to do with a girl with long hair and a scary face…hopefully that whole boring phase is OVER. This of corpse, is just my opinion. LONG LIVE EXPLOITATION CINEMA!
8. What do you think is sorely lacking in modern day horror and what would you like to see more of?
A: Originality. I cannot stress that enough. Not everything has been done! Americans keep remaking films and even stealing ideas from foreign film-makers. I have seen a good handful of more original horror films that came out in the past couple of years but none of them get enough notoriety! Frozen, Sweatshop, The Loved ones, Martyrs, etc… This is why someone may say something like, “Oh I don’t watch horror films because they’re stupid.” That’s because they’re not looking in the right place. Just like music. You have to explore! That’s what I do. No one pays enough attention to the ‘art’ of a horror film.
You’re getting chased by a chainsaw wielding maniac – what do you do? Run up the stairs, yes you’re going to finish top of your class. You hearing screams come from a creepy haunted house on the end of town – what do you do? Go and investigate; well, we’re never seeing you again. Your car breaks down outside the scariest looking house ever, You go up to the door and an even creepier guy answers the door covered head to toe in blood – what do you do? Still go into the house, asking to us the telephone, yes and then the telephone will then proceed to be used to bash your skull in. SHOW ME SOMETHING BELIEVABLE!
9. Name the one movie that send chills down your spine leaving a most indelible impression and why.
A: It’s hard to pick just one. I will give you my top five:
1. Carrie (The scene leading up to the blood being poured alllllll over her.) The music and the acting, everything combined…this scene always gave me chills along with that scary ending! Great film.
2. The Exorcist (The scene where she spins her head around and says “Do you know what she did? Your cunting daughter..”) Typical answer I know but for some reason that scene always gets me. It’s the voice and well everything along with it.
3. Black Christmas (The obscene phone calls.) This to me is one of the scariest aside from when she finds out the calls are coming from the house. She finds that the killer has been listening to all her personal information about her abortion and in the creepiest voice says, “Just like having a wart removed.” GUH!
4. Don’t Look Now (Scary as fuck midget with an axe) OH MY GAWD!
5. IT (Pretty much any scene with that clown) That’s right, I am also scared of clowns but mainly just Tim Curry as a clown. Took me ten years to be able to watch it again.
10. Tell us something about Rebekah Herzberg that nobody knows about.
A: I will watch any 80s comedy over any horror film in the world. 80s comedy rules!
