Quirky Saucy: Katy Townsend

Sexiness is omnipotent, quirkiness is divine and in Scottish actress KATY TOWNSEND, we find both bewitching facets shimmering within her. Even though she’s based in LA, I bet she’s been beguiling the West End for some time. As you know West End is in Glasgow where KATY hails from and of course, her accent is blissfully mesmerizing. There’s a local lingo used by Glaswegians that I stumbled upon recently and the phrase ‘She’s a wee stoater’ best describes her. It means to be an exceptionally pretty gal and KATY’s foxy, striking features which is an electrifying mix of gothic chic and cheeky cuteness will have us in her thrall. The pic of her in the ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’ yellow tee (above) expresses the naughty attitude she radiates and her turn as a fairy in the short film “New World” speaks highly of KATY’s nymph-like uniqueness. She does wear the pigtails with an innocence that’s spellbinding.

Likewise, I was besotted after watching her in “Kill Katie Malone” which also stars Dean Cain. Her character Amy buys a ghost from the net in order to save a group of friends from the spirit’s vile intentions. Now how cool is that, being able to purchase your very own “Casper” or in this case a Hellish abomination! As I scanned her IMDB Page, it struck me that KRISTIN SUTTON has a starring role opposite one time Sexiest Woman Alive Minka Kelly. Now Minka has always been a favorite of mine since her “Friday Night Lights” days and having two hotties together is most gratifying. I’m talking about the upcoming comedy “Searching For Sonny”, Sonny being “Heroes” Masi Oka who goes missing in this mind-boggling mystery set at a high school reunion. This just in from Miss KRISTIN SUTTON herself; the character Cynthia Schubert whom she essays in “Searching For Sonny” is going to be a bitchy, snobby type…bring on the nastiness, GIRL! She has taken on the prissy persona before in the amusing “Wonderville” Pilot, a sarcasm-filled look into the crazy lives and sometimes disgusting habits of a motley group of theme restaurant employees. If you’re a fan of shows such as “The Office” or “Parks and Recreation”, you’ll appreciate it’s mockumentary humor. Some may also recognize her distinctively high-pitched voice as KRISTIN has done Voice Over work for Cartoon Network’s Power Puff girls, several English-dubbed animes as well Barney and Friends. She somehow reminds me of another Kristin, the consistently amazing Kristin Chenoweth seeing how these two diminutive blondes have that similarly cute fairy voice.

KRISTIN can also be seen in the vampire flick “The Devil’s Gravestone”, enhancing her standing as an actress on the indie scene where she’s already done several features including chase thriller “Junction Texas”. Hot Actress #457 – Kimberly Parmon: Sizzling Cutie

Do you know what’s the sweetest thing? Discovering bright, young actresses from every corner of the world, watching them larger than life in High or Standard definition and praising the impeccable things they do on a daily basis. Kimberly Parmon is one such sweetheart we all should get to know especially since she’s headlining the fantastical indie ‘LISL AND THE LORLOCK’. Awarded Best Feature at the Idyllwild Independent Festival of Cinema 2011, this moody, tension-building piece reminds one of “The Shining” and 1986′s horror flick “House”, teasing us with the LORLOCK, a spider-like creature that could just be the Boogeyman! There’s an uneasy suspense to the movie and sees KIMBERLY playing Mischa (mother of young heroine LISL) who may or may not succumb to the malevolent LORLOCK. Watch the awesome trailer (above) and at the 1:23 mark, you’ll be able to catch her evil side, entertaining threatening thoughts with an AX. Guess we’ll have to catch its entirety to find out if she does indeed become the female version of Psycho Jack ala Jack Nicholson as she retreats into her own world courtesy of the psychic energy feeding LORLOCK. Billed as a horror fairy tale for the whole family to enjoy, I can’t wait for it to reach my shores to savor delectable KIMBERLY…:)
