Ravishing Redhead: Alix Maria Taulbee

 alt=  alt=

Endorsing Fresh Faces have always been paramount and ALIX MARIA TAULBEE has the intrinsic youthful verve to generate avid interest. Many may be mesmerized by her gorgeous bee-stung lips yet she has the ability to reproduce vulnerability onscreen, a trait we readily find attractive. As my job recently entails me to spend an obscene amount of time around beautiful women, I have to say Miss ALIX is perceptibly photogenic. The release of the indie sci-fi flick “95ers:Echoes” recently gives us a glimpse of her blossoming talents where as Trudy, she adds a level of innocence to the the time-travel story. Things are moving fast for her with an upcoming appearance alongside C. Thomas Howell in “Play James Play”, the drama about drug-addiction and the often tempestuous journey of overcoming it. As she continues to score roles, expect her to feature in darker content and become even more intriguing to watch.

Take a peek into ALIX’s world by reading her blog An Electric Life as she covers everything about life as an actress and everything in between. We’ve only scratched the surface when it comes to discovering the growing appeal of this starlet. Inevitably there’s a rise in the number of beguiling ladies and with ALIX looking to be ahead of the queue, she’s going to touch numerous hearts and possibly evolve into the latest indie sweetheart.

Indie Princess: Alyssa Lobit

 alt=  alt=

There’s many flavors to ALYSSA LOBIT and that’s key to the wonderment one gets from appreciating her from face value. If you’ve seen her photos on facebook, ALYSSA has the demure sauciness going on, doll-like features that readily ignites fascination on any given day. Her multi-ethnic roots of French, Scottish and Korean does mean she has distinctive good looks to go along with her colorful personality. The ALYSSA LOBIT OFFICIAL SITE which has the awesome banner “Alyssa in Wonderland” is representative of the richness of this actress/writer/filmmaker. She did write for the comedy horror flick “Among Friends”, the directorial debut of Scream Queen Danielle Harris which also sees her re-uniting with long time friend Jennifer Blanc onscreen. It does pay to have that network of talents who always come together in support of a project.

Hot on the heels of their appearance on perennial festival favorite “The Victim”, exposure should be already mounting for ALYSSA. In the drama “The Things We Carry”, it’s her subtleness in handling the subject matter that got many raving and aroused a flood of emotions. Recently I was at a Blogger’s Party attended by a bevy of gorgeous women and came to the realization Asian or Asian-American (in the case of ALYSSA) should be celebrated more often. Add to that their gifts be it behind the camera or front and centre will lead to even more buzz for ALYSSA and her peers.

Indie Princess: Carrie Madariaga

CARRIE MADARIAGA has the distinction of being the First Luiseno Native American actress featured on this blog and she’s an actress/film-maker who is synonymous with the word ‘Captivation’. Her praiseworthy directorial debut will be screeened this Friday, Sep 28 at the Native American Shorts Program and previously premiered at the LA Skins (a native American film festival) Fest to much acclaim. Starring as Coda, a scientist with a questionable reputation, her corruptible soul hidden by a veneer of righteousness. You may have also seen her on the hit show “Weeds” which was her maiden appearance on TV albeit in more light-hearted fashion. In fact, she’s tipped to dazzle in the arena of comedy.

In 2012, CARRIE wrote and directed a sitcom called “Eagle Falls” about a group of young adults living on the Rez aka Reservation which draws comparisons to “Friends”. Currently, this brunette sizzler is also shooting a reality pilot called “living native” about the daily lives of native Americans today. Grace Folsom Reel from David Spaltro on Vimeo.

At the San Diego Film Festival 2012, everyone will be talking about GRACE FOLSOM who enchants with a memorable performance in “Things I Don’t Understand”. She stars as Sara, the terminally ill girl being interviewed by grad student Violet Kubelick (a believer in the afterlife) for her thesis on spirituality. Her dedicated research on the debilitating condition of her character is evident as GRACE is spot-on when depicting the state of a cancer-ravaged young woman dealing with her mortality. Conveying the face of positivity, she instills a touching yet spirited semblance of the travails affecting someone dealing with impending death. Twitch, one of the best entertainment sites did an article on her which prevalently signifies her blossoming status as a coveted newcomer.

Judging from the complimentary reviews on the GRACE FOLSOM OFFICIAL SITE, she could very well be arousing an avid preoccupation in the coming months. Grace does have the big ‘anime-like’ eyes which are perfectly gorgeous giving her a desirably striking look. As you know, men are drawn to lips more than any other facial feature and hers is full enhancing the attractiveness she has even further. Despite her busy schedule on the festival circuit, it’s great to hear back from her that she would be honored to be lauded on the Actress Obsession Blog. She just moved to LA about a month ago so expectations are that there will definitely be plenty more written about this lissome talent.

Sizzling Cutie: Erica Duke

 alt=  alt=

ERICA DUKE is most certainly a lady capable of enticing our hearts since she’s gorgeous from head to toe. Since she appears in the racy comedy “Bikini Spring Break”, ERICA is in the ensemble of delectable up and coming actresses everyone should be intimately receptive towards. One can say, the hot blonde is becoming the sweetheart of independent film studio The Asylum having impressed in a clutch of features. If anyone is still skeptical of the success indie actresses can attain, the perfect example is Amy Adams who herself started in the straight to video “Cruel Intentions 2″ before hitting the big time. Granted there’s always be detractors out there yet ERICA has consistently shown her potential to entertain. Who knows, she may just reach the pinnacle in Tinseltown!

As Sophie, the love interest in the crude teen sex romp “#1 Cheerleader Camp” a few years back, she projected the right amount of spunk to score with viewers. The general consensus is that she’s a onscreen honey earning for herself the admiration of several prevalent voices online. As you can see, I too am following the adulation that’s directed towards Miss ERICA DUKE by featuring her today. There’s always room to admire the sweet ones which catch the eye every so often and chances are ERICA has already kept us fascinated…:)

 alt=  alt=

Ginger-haired vixen KAT SHERIDAN does indeed have the crave factor, her perfectly toned figure being one of her many desirable attributes. She also has an easygoing demeanor and has so kindly forwarded me several juicy updates, notably her appearance in the horror flick “The Red House”. After having seen the trailer (above), this is one thriller with a very attractive cast namely Cristen Coppen and Jean Louise O’Sullivan, the duo of sweethearts who I’ve featured before. Appearing as the gorgeous character Chelsea, KAT herself will likewise be coveted and seeing how she loves to cosplay, there’ll be plenty of devotees from the geek world too. How can one not be attracted to her, especially seeing that she’s taken on the persona of Wonder Woman at conventions.

THE OFFICIAL KAT SHERIDAN BLOG reveals her passion for role-playing and is acting as well as producing a web series about Cosplay and comic book culture called “Just Cos“. That’s cause for celebration as she’s likely to dazzle as a comic fanboy Dream girl and soon an upcoming Scream Queen once “The Red House” is released. Twice the reason to keep our eyes riveted on KAT as she progressively makes a name for herself.
