Be still my heart when someone as luscious as rising talent SHELLY VAROD has a new film out which threads on horror territory. I’ve been waiting a long time to feature her and finally found the opportune moment to be caught in SHELLY’s web and so should you. After all, she is one of the stars of “Spiders 3D”, the newest creature feature to crawl up your skin this Halloween. The sci-fi terror tale is screening this Friday at the Freakshow Film Festival 2012 in Orlando, Florida and early buzz indicate it’s going to be a monster movie to enjoy. Seeing how those huge spiders descended from outer space setting itself apart from the chemically mutated ones in the 2002 horror comedy “Eight-legged freaks”, they’re gonna take some stopping! Plus Scream Queen Christa Campbell is in the cast with SHELLY who together will be more than just eye-candy amidst all the nasty web-crawling carnage.
SHELLY was previously seen in another Syfy original “Morlocks”, the fantasy flick of monstrosities running amok after time-traveling their way onto Earth. This captivating brunette with the beautiful, willowy hair has also had supporting roles alongside Val Kilmer and Dolph Lundgren in a couple of action movies. “In The Name Of The King 3″ which has Prison Break’s Dominic Purcell as the leading man, SHELLY is in the cast and that means further exposure for the blossoming honey.

Every day is a joy in itself when one gets to spotlight a screen honey and ABBY MILLER has the requisite demureness to awaken sentiments of ardor. With her being a Nebraska native, she’s the very first from the famed Cornhusker State to grace the Actress Obsession Blog and she’s a fetching gal indeed. Her invitingly large, brown eyes which wouldn’t be out of place in a Manga comic if ever her likeness is drawn, affirms her eye-catching accessibility. Evidently on TV ABBY shone as meth-addicted prostitute cum snitch Ellen May in Season 2 of “Justified”. Check out the memorable scene of her (above) in a wasted stupor trying her darnedest to seduce Timothy Olyphant’s straight laced U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens. By going against the grain for this gritty, disaffected part, ABBY shows she doesn’t just rely on her cutesy appeal. In fact, she even walked the fine line between sympathy and comedy in the episode “The Rejected” of “Mad Men”. Yet again, she excelled as the naive secretary Dorothy who suffers a double blow; Rejection by her boyfriend and being brought to tears at a market focus group. She’s also prolific in the commercials arena, appearing in ads for McDonald’s, Target, Dunkin’ Donuts, Domino’s and American Express. Then there’s her as fascinating vocalist of the folk-pop combo, Jen & Abby; The voice of hers soaring blissfully over the acoustic richness of the bluesy tone echoed in the melodies which have even been featured on the hit show “Gilmore Girls”! Often labeled as having a kittenish virtue and having once remarked once that her attractive eyes are money-makers, we have to agree she’s a real crowd pleaser. I’ve always placed a high premium on sweetness and so should everyone in welcoming upcoming starlet ABBY MILLER.

It’s easy to be fond of the women on network television and the lovely form of delicately gorgeous CRISTEN IRENE clearly has something do with said fascination. Just yesterday a friend was wondering why I hold TV starlets in high regard (his preference being female rock singers) and my reply was that they deliver a rush of emotions from the amusing to the tenebrious. Here in Asia we’re still waiting for the new season of “Criminal Minds” (Season 7 is in full swing in the US) but the intense episode “Remembrance Of Things Past” has heavy re-runs on Asian TV and CRISTEN captured her character’s harrowing ordeal excellently. Barbaric electric torture scenes, the son following in the footsteps of his serial-killing father and the race against time to save a life makes this a thrill from start to finish. I for one am glad her character Anna survived, although her guest appearance on “Rizzoli & Isles” ended on a more savage note at the hands of a rapist/killer. This porcelain-skin honey has treaded dark territory before having starred as the angst-ridden girl hooking up with the wrong man in “Red Corvette” and a delinquent terrorized by ghosts protecting the bounty she’s after in the indie horror flick “The Crypt”. Her elfin, girl next-door features allows her to impart shades of vulnerability on screen, sometimes too often caught up in unsavory situations…I can imagine viewers lining up in their desire to rescue her…:) If there’s one petite blonde to be affectionate about, the pixieish CRISTEN would most definitely garner many a vote.

Ethereal gracefulness encircles the lovely BREA BEE, very becoming of an earthly fairy with her pure milky skin illuminating from every angle. Her divine cheekbones are both fashionable and enthralling, a testament to how effortlessly BREA can amplify glamor to her collection of modeling shots. Quickly becoming a fixture on the indie scene, BREA can be seen in the early minutes of heartwarming dramas “The Best And The Brightest” and “Lebanon,PA”. She’s also so kindly informed me that she’s appearing in a national Comcast commercial this Fall and is slated to star in Robert Masciantonio’s feature film “Fairyland” shooting in December 2011. It’s unfortunate that the intriguing web series BLEEDERS was canned as BREA is hauntingly stirring as one of four female vampires bringing a hemophiliac into their fold. It’s positively gratifying to see women being the centerpiece of a vampire flick; Maybe they should have done that with the under performing “Fright Night” reboot! Her vamp with the heart of gold parallels her genial personality in real life, yet another one of BREE’s many pleasing traits.

MEGHAN McLEOD is an effervescent talent with a sparkle in her eyes that’s a pointer to how much fun she can be onscreen. As the horny Angela auditioning to be a burlesque dancer in the romp of a musical comedy “Fishnet” which also stars Rebekah Kochan, she leaves us with the sweetest of tastes in our mouths. Praised for her crass yet likable performance in “Fishnet”, she jazzes up the wacky, colorful film with the right amount of naughtiness yet is a darling beneath it all. A comedienne of the honey blonde persuasion, she can certainly play up the sexiness in lingerie or otherwise and for being a sweetheart, she certainly is on and off set…:) Tapped to appear in an episode of Season 3 of “Hung”, will MEGHAN get to be Full Frontal on the comedic front I wonder….a great vehicle for her risible personality. Her maiden appearance in the satirical series “Hung” could just reinforce the credence of being dubbed the modern day Judy Holliday, the comedy musical icon.
I’m besotted by the Southern accent she peruses in the first few minutes of her reel (above)…I reckon she would be right at home on that amusingly profane show “Eastbound And Down”. Many would have already found rising starlet MELISSA PAULO pretty scrumptious after catching her in the McDonalds McRibs Commercial way back in ’08. Her yummy status is set to thrive in 2011 since she’s spicing up both the television series “Femme Fatales” and MTV’s “Death Valley”. She did mesmerize at the recent Comic Con and from the photos I’ve seen, MELISSA is hands down a Living Doll. A model from Hawaii, her ethnicity comprises a bewitching mix of Japanese-Filipino plus slivers of European nationalities; let’s just say MELISSA is too bewitching not to be thoroughly captivated. She uses that very sexy quality to great effect on the episode “Girls Gone Dead” from “Femme Fatales” as a sorority girl who gains the ultimate revenge on a porn mogul, an obvious nod to sleazy Girls Gone Wild head honcho Joe Francis. MELISSA may have played the bookwormish Erida but there’s something dangerous brewing when the black-rimmed glasses and clothes come off. Clearly MELISSA is a delight from the get-go, at first as the innocent, smart girl and revealing her true colors as the seductress/killer. And just like she says in one of her scenes, we men can’t resist her and that’s so true even when she’s out of character.
All this means we have to keep our eyes peeled for this honey in the first two episodes of “Death Valley” premiering August 29th. In the meantime you can catch her in two web series, the Angels vs Demons “Soul Fire Rising” and the 4-part pilot “House Of Heather”. MELISSA’s gorgeous, come-hither brown eyes and tropical exotic look without question adds to her mystique. I must admit the coyness she displays in her roles is so fascinating. It’s always nice to feature striking personalities of our era and MELISSA has done her bit in getting us gushing over her.

“One Life To Live” and “All My Children” may have been canceled and gone the way of digital but that doesn’t mean we’ll be deprived of our Soap Opera Hotties. Especially since, BRIE MATTSON has been announced as the new love interest of Noah, a central figure in the long-running, still going strong soap “The Young And The Restless”. There’s something about beauties with BRIE in their name that makes you swoon, think Alison Brie, Brie Larson, Brie Gabrielle and of course BRIE MATTSON herself who is an absolute doll. Have you seen her so adorably sexy on “Desperate Housewives” as Kimberly who together with Jacqui Holland are the dates of Max and Charles Carver (playing the Scavo twins). First impressions are indeed everything as Felicity Huffman’s Lynette Scavo assumes that they’re more akin to tramps than sweethearts in the amusing scene (check out the first minutes of her reel above). Being judgmental of someone is human nature but one thing we can agree on is that BRIE is a radiant young lady on and off set. Wondering why I’m announcing BRIE as a Vixen this Summer?? If you’re ever lucky enough to spot BRIE in a bikini complementing that luscious 36-24-37 figure of hers, then you have to believe there’s truly a heaven on earth!! Fetching English Honey KIMBERLY JARAJ is unquestionably flying high as a blossoming talent from the British Isles. Starring as a stewardess fighting to survive on board a doomed flight in the upcoming thriller “Airborne”, success is waiting just round the corner for this comely blonde. She may have missed out on working with the late Roy Scheider of “Jaws” fame but she’s cast alongside ‘Mr Luke Skywalker” himself Mark Hamill in “Airbone”, a tale full of supernatural Hitchcockian twists added to its plane hijack plot that we’re looking ahead to savoring. Together with UK Sex Symbol Gemma Atkinson who plays chief flight attendant, they make for captivating eye candy but the gals are widely expected to be involved in some serious action! Having read her Shoot Diary, KIMBERLY’s character Laura has to fend off a crim with a bottle in one of the more riveting scenes. Her hard work on British TV as well as features has paid off with this leading role that’s already creating positive publicity for her. Rumors are also rife that Russell Brand has plans to join KIMBERLY in her new comedy “The 10 Year Itch”…that’s pretty juicy news!! With her flowing long hair and lissome elegance, she’s one for adoring eyes…:) For someone who delves into the challenge of playing varying personas, she was wonderful as the lovelorn sister of a London-based Jordanian in the lesbian drama “I Can’t Think Straight” and had a supporting role in the tense slow-burner “Knife Edge”.
Having gone through the harshest of trials and tribulations as a young ballerina in the prestigious Royal Ballet School, she’s moved on and coped impeccably with the pressures of being an entertainer. Besides gracing our screens ever so beautifully, she’s a spokesmodel for London Loves LA, a blog shop selling vintage apparel. Hey Pippa Middleton! You’re not the only one us males around the world have designs on. We may have differing tastes but I’m certain we are united on being captivated by their enticingly fair-skin and seductively posh accents.
