Hotties On Film and DVD – July 15th

1. Christina Wren in “Man Of Steel”

 alt=  alt=

- As Captain Major Carrie Farris in “Man Of Steel”, she has one of the best lines ever in the summer blockbuster! (I’ve just watched “Man Of Steel” and so should you!)
- Besides Amy Adams and Antje Traue, count Christina as the trio of sassy cuties gracing the Superman epic.
- Only Days ago, she attended the “Man Of Steel” NYC premiere in a red number and already she has the makings of a blossoming ingenue.

2. Kelly Kruger in “1 Out Of 7 “

 alt=

- Kelly was one of the very first Canadian actresses I got in contact with for a feature on this blog and she’s still turning heads!
- In the melodrama “1 Out Of 7″, she appears as Tasha, a delinquent of sorts, shooting up heroin and being of unsavory influence.
- Her roles over the years have somewhat of a mischief factor and she does thrive when playing up the naughty side onscreen.

3. Victoria Summer & Linda Bella in “Dracula Reborn”

 alt=  alt=

- Two of the most captivating faces in a Dracula movie! Victoria Summer and Linda Bella are perfectly cast as Lina Harker and Lucy, well known paramours of the Count himself.
- British Vixen Victoria channels old world glamour and she is gathering buzz with each feature she does.
- Likewise, Linda who is French has the European allure to propel her to become a darling of the indie scene.

4. Jenny Allford in “Captain Battle: Legacy War”

 alt=  alt=

- Call her Miss Body Beautiful and that’s just one of the reasons why Jenny is a Bombshell from head to toe.
- She stars as The Necromancer in “Captain Battle: Legacy War” and is a picture of seduction as the redheaded villainess out for world domination.
- Her current run of being the lead in indie features is bound to win her plenty of admirers.

Foxy Femme: Madeline Merritt

 alt=  alt=

Some women are just breath-taking so it’s a given to quickly take a liking to them as we should for MADELINE MERRITT who has all the virtues of an enchanting sweetheart. The film festivals are coming in thick and fast with Dances With Films 2013 being the next big one! MADELINE of course is making her presence felt with her appearance on raucous comedy “American Idiots” screening at the Chineese Theatre on May 31st. Lionsgate will also be releasing the film on June 16th so that’s ample time between now and then to be smitten with MADELINE. Most of us may remember her from “The Guest House”, a deeply romantic tale between 2 women who are polar opposites yet their desires grew and they form a romantic bond. What MADELINE delivered onscreen was honest and compelling, proving how stirring of an actress she is…:)

We certainly didn’t mind seeing this beauty in lingerie as her wholesome character Amy and bad girl Rachel (played by Ruth Reynolds) are so often found happily between the sheets. But “The Guest House” would be nothing without a storyteller and MADELINE does amazingly well to inhabit the innocence of her character who is in the throes of passion. With several projects in the pipeline and expectation that she’s about to sizzle the green carpet at “Dances With Films, MADELINE could be a hot prospect.

Watch out for my interview with the lovely Miss Madeline Merritt coming up soon!

Cannes Film Festival 2013 Spotlight: Rising Starlet Stacy Rock

 alt=  alt=

It’s never too late to keep tabs on upcoming actresses at CANNES and STACY ROCK could be the gal we’ll be wanting to fancy soon enough. While “Blue Ruin” may have been the buzzworthy film in the early part of CANNES, I’m sure it will be a favorite at the other film festivals on the horizon. It’s an off-kilter take on the revenge thriller themes which have captured our imagination ever since the advent of the nihilistic “Red White & Blue” back in 2010. That movie made stars of the cast post-Cannes and it would be history repeating itself if the actors on “Blue Ruin” get similar recognition. As much as STACY’s blue eyes and porcelain skin captivate, she’s known for her work on the cult indie hit “Murder Party” starring as the hot Lexi aka FUTURE BITCH. She did catch our attention with her platinum blonde locks and spacey outfit, all the playful charms of an onscreen vixen.

So a visit to the STACY ROCK OFFICIAL SITE should be your next destination. You’ll be pleased to know she’s a singer/songwriter who has drawn stellar reviews and her polished voice has been compared to Aimee Mann, PJ Harvey, and “a lady Tom Waits.” She’s been said to weave stories through her piano-laced music and likewise she has done in the roles she’s undertaken. Here’s a striking talent who is about to garner a following guaranteed to be enamored with her.

Cannes Film Festival 2013 Spotlight: Indie Princess Elana A. Mugdan

 alt=  alt=

ELANA A. MUGDAN is the beauty and brains of the independent film world who is well on her way to intensify the passion within the hearts of viewers. Cannes may be coming to a close yet better late than never to showcase a stirring and gorgeous talent such as ELANA. Only days ago, she’s walked the red carpet in support of her film “Paradox” as well as the short film “White Picket World” and bewitched the paparazzi with that fetching smile of hers. I discovered she had arrived in the prestigious playground of Cannes from her facebook page and so endeavored to have her dazzle up this blog. Not only is she a wonderful actress, she’s also an award-winning director and founder of Shivnath Productions which specializes in narratives, trailers and feature films. It’s quite a feat to be handling multiple roles and this is where ELANA is a shining example for us all…:) The great thing about being in contact with her is receiving insider news on her various projects and ELANA has been so pleasantly forthcoming which is great for a fan like me.

With “Paradox” being her most ambitious movie to date, she’s also working behind-the-scenes as First AD/script supervisor and performs as a body/stunt double for one of the main actresses. Her ultimate goal in the months ahead is to be a big enough name to make the movies she wants to make and with her unwavering passion, she’ll achieve her dreams soon enough. Meanwhile, watch her being eye-catchingly amazing in “White Picket World” which will be available online for netizens

Stunning Starlets at Cannes 2013

CANNES is in full swing and adorned with beautiful women from all over the world! Let’s celebrate these lovely ladies who are carving a piece of history as well as exciting viewers with their stirring roles and bewitching beauty.

1.Sonja O’ Hara in “Town Red”

 alt=

- What better than to celebrate the zombie short film “Town Red” and the talented Sonja O’ Hara who is going to be talked about after the screening at Cannes.
- Onscreen, she’s a spunky actress with the hint of mystique that’s a little cheeky and yet one that can get to be an addiction in a hurry.
- This is the second time one of her films will be screening at Cannes which augurs well for the ravishing redhead with a very bright future.

2. Lindsay Hightower in “The Inflicted”

 alt=

- She stars in “The Inflicted” as Melissa Daniels who is impregnated by a rapist/serial killer and after her escape from his clutches is targeted by the sadistic “baby’s daddy”.
- Her multiple talents as a singer, actress and model makes this stunning blonde bombshell an all-rounder when it comes to enchanting a range of audiences.
- Sizzling up the indie world, Lindsay is blossoming with every role she’s undertaking so expect to hear more from her in 2013.

3. Anne Bergstedt Jordanova in “Blood Ties”

 alt=

- With her supporting role as a hooker in “Blood Ties” alongside Clive Owen and Marion Cotillard, she could very well be making an impression and entice us all.
- Burst into the scene on TV’s Boardwalk Empire and she exhibited her foxy charms effortlessly with every episode.
- One can affirm, this Swedish hottie exudes the right kind of mesmeric sexiness with consumate ease.

Cannes Film Festival 2013 Spotlight: Indie Princess Hollis Witherspoon

 alt=  alt=

HOLLIS WITHERSPOON is certainly an upcoming talent to be excited about, more so since she stars in “One Last Time” which screens at the Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival 2013. What we can envision that it’s not just the high profile flicks getting all the attention as there’s an ever growing pool of short films deserving of recognition. By virtue of this so shall the actresses in them be looked upon as noteworthy talents. With her attractively, large eyes which I’ve come to know as being called neotenous features (a characteristic of youth), HOLLIS projects a lasting and young appeal onscreen. Although her role in “One Last Time” rides on a nonchalant flirtiness, she’s spot on with the mannerisms. This is achieved in part to the formulation of her character by constantly observing the traits of people around her. She rates Parkey Posey highly who is incidentally one of my idols.

She also once said in an interview that the biggest allure of acting for her is in the challenge. It’s never easy getting under the skin of an intended character for any actress and yet HOLLIS has gamely delivered as authentic a work as she has so often done. She’s also been active on the theatre scene with acclaim as a member of the Old Kent Road Theatre. She does have an innate fearlessness allowing her to explore different psyches. Watch for her to shine even more in the coming months!

Sizzling Cutie: Natalie Wetta

 alt=  alt=

We do love the sweethearts of the independent scene and NATALIE has a refreshing geniality that beguiles. Her role as the daring skeptic Andi of a ghost hunting team on “Episode 50″ is memorable for being genuine and tense. Plenty of jump scares and eerie atmospheric moments which some have liken to being just as scary as those from “Grave Encounters”. With the cast being made up of several guys, it’s always great to see a female figure we are compelled to take a liking to and hope survives the ghostly experiences. Natalie is thoroughly fetching to the eye so it’s a given for viewers to watch her unscathed until the last frame…:)

Remember to check out her photo gallery at the “NATALIE WETTA OFFICIAL SITE” for a look at how wonderfully enchanting she really is. NATALIE just landed a co-star role on the new MTV show “Blogger Girls” which is a hilarious sketch comedy show directed by Michael Showalter scheduled to air in 2013. That would be quite the platform to launch NATALIE into a starlet with a rising popularity. Having also just finished being the lead in the film, “Second Chances” by IFP writer Justin Ferrarato, she could very well be sought after on a range of mediums.

Rising Starlet: Lilan Bowden

 alt=  alt=

LILAN BOWDEN is undeniably cute with the Capital “C” and has that lovably, infectious appeal warranting praise from everyone who’s in contact with her. There’s an endearing quirkiness about her and it’s so enamoring, I’m in awe of her pixie daintiness. While she’s done her fair share of improv, LILAN is steadily blossoming on the independent arena. Because of the number of zombie flicks that LILAN has starred in, I think it’s time she should be cast on “The Walking Dead”. Besides the SyFy feature “Zombie Apocalypse” which she starred with Taryn Manning, she also dazzled in “Nazis at the Center of the Earth” and “Rise Of The Zombies”. In “Zombie Apocalypse”, she played Myrah, an archer with a penchant for shooting zombies which I’m betting was tons of fun to embody.

Many are also commenting she’s due for a big role soon and LILAN will be so very memorable when it happens! It’s incredible to see just how much sweetness is etched on her gorgeous face, a selling point of hers among the many talents she already has. LILAN does remind us a great deal of Rachel Bilson, the similarly sexy grin tellingly exhibited by LILAN is captivatingly precious. We dudes don’t know how lucky we are when we are able to celebrate the comely ingénue that is Miss LILAN BOWDEN…:)
