One can already call JUSTINE LUPE a TV Siren for not only is she an onscreen beauty, this eye-catching blonde is ever so pleasant. If you’ve already fond of her then it might have something to do with her appearances on Season 2 of “Harry’s Law”. Playing the intelligent new attorney on the block Phoebe Blake, she fascinated us in 8 episodes and although “Harry’s Law” was not renewed, she left a sustainable impression. Her debut on the series was one of effervescent delight and the way she announces herself in TV Land with those words “Hey, Hey” is striking! Wonderfully entrancing would be an accolade I’ll gladly bestow on her for endowing her character Phoebe with such definitive vivaciousness. Just as she did when she guest-starred in “Unforgettable” as a socialite, JUSTINE is fetchingly charismatic.
There’s even an online reviewer who after watching the judiciary show “Fairly Legal” wished for a pretty attorney like Phoebe (who JUSTINE depicts so appealingly) to appear. We won’t have to wait long before we’re treated to more of radiant JUSTINE as her next role is that of a party girl in the movie “Not Fade Away”. Also look out for her in an indie drama with Jennifer Carpenter called “Ex-Girlfriends” which should be released soon. Fans in Asia would be excited to know JUSTINE’s been featured in the Japanese edition of ELLE thanks to her flowing locks. Her popularity is certainly set to proliferate in the coming months. Check her out in “Californication” opposite David Duchovny and Maggie Grace!
There’s no shortage of promise when it comes to ultra-cute EMILY KAIHO, as this pretty newcomer is loaded with a deluge of sweetness. Like how Chiaki Kuriyama gained global recognition for playing Gogo Yubari, the dangerously sexy schoolgirl assassin from “Kill Bill”, Emily might just be the next scene stealer. On her film debut “Bunraku”, she stars as Momoko, the cousin of Samurai Yoshi who both become entangled in the affairs of the No.1 Bad Guy Nicola played with mangy aplomb by Ron Pearlman. Watch out for Josh Hartnett, Demi Moore and even Woody Harrelson as larger than life characters in the action-heavy Sin City meets Spaghetti western that draws inspiration from countless Ronin classics. “Bunraku” does serve up a visual feast interjected with humor (by Woody of course) and EMILY does her bit to catch the eye as Momoko; eliciting the desire in us to protect/save her much like we would of a female anime character. It has be those rich flavors of Scottish-American and Japanese in her ethnicity that for so long has led to our fascination with Pan Asian allure.
If you’ve seen Caity Lotz executing those high energy martial arts on MTV’s “Death Valley”, expect EMILY to match that sometime in the near future. The EMILY KAIHO OFFICIAL SITE has more juicy updates on this petite yet athletic actress. With her pugilistic skills in Karate, Taekwondo and Wushu among others, she could readily become the newest action starlet. EMILY’s mixed parentage may have somewhat shelved her plans for a career in the Japanese film industry that banks on its standard “Asian” look which I find absurdly archaic but Japan’s loss has to be Hollywood’s gain. Being a love interest of hunky Mr Josh Hartnett on screen should already score EMILY some brownie points with American viewers and those overseas…:) To appreciate the diversity of faces is ensuring upcoming talents like EMILY get their time in the limelight and for me, it’s the greatest feeling to be an earnest supporter.
She’s in one of the most brutal home invasion movies ever seen and Audrey Walker delivers a roller-coaster of emotions as Crystal, the wife of a man targeted by a dude called ‘The Biker’. The physical and mental torture dished out by the nasty invader on her will be one of the most talked about scenes and in my opinion the most intense she’s ever done. This could indeed be the role that puts her on the map thanks to its unsettling tone. Be it the darker subject matter or otherwise, she’s glowingly relatable on every level and one will find that she’s just as wonderful doing comedies. She once said she never feels more at home than she does on set and that’s precisely why she has the ability to connect with viewers. I feel blessed that she sent me her autograph as Audrey could very well be a gem of an actress in our midst.

Barbara Nedeljakova in “Isle Of Dogs” & “The Hike
Euro Vixen Barbara Nedeljakova has seen her star on a meteoric rise ever since she burst onto the horror scene back in 2005. This year alone, we have seen the Slovak cutie in “Children Of The Corn:Genesis” and is primed to thrill audiences in two features screening at Shriekfest. Well we may always remember her as duplicitous temptress from Hostel, her turns in “Isle Of Dogs” and “The Hike” will see her as a victim of circumstance. Whether she’s a trophy wife of a cuckolded husband or a hiker whose vacation in the woods turn deadly, she’ll be enticing every step of the way! I believe her husky voice may have something to do with her sensuality and with her appearing alongside Robert Englund in “Strippers vs Werewolves”, there’s talk that she’s garnered a cult following.

Sarah Lassez in “The Dead Inside”
We crave our quirky yet saucy characters in the independent scene and Canadian cutie Sarah Lassez certainly thrives in the horror-musical of “The Dead Inside”. She’s actually an author in real life having penned the acclaimed memoir, ‘Psychic Junkie’ and Sarah does indeed play one, a writer of a series of zombie novellas called, The Dead Survive, who slowly descends into a state of mental illness. Eating her from the inside, possession never look this eccentric until now! Known for being an excellent multi-dimensional actress, Sarah was once said to resemble a better-looking version of Julia Roberts. Anchoring some of the more thought-provoking roles, an enigmatic performer would be my choice of praise to describe her onscreen work. Her dedication to making everything she does authentic while in character is also praiseworthy.
One of the sexiest legends to ever grace horror, Lynn Lowry continues to be a dazzler of the big screen, seeing how she’s widely revered as a cult star. Pivotal in exploitation classics such as “I Drink Your Blood”, “The Crazies and “Score”, her nubile innocence yet uninhibited eroticism was perfect for some of the more steamy moments and she has always maintained her comfort with nudity. She’s someone who owns her role, treating it like an art form, hence her many polished performances over the years. In the creepy short film “Divination”, Lynn is a bogus psychic running fraudulent seances until a young woman becomes her latest client and threatens to expose her in deathly fashion. A scene stealer of her generation and many more after, now is the time to hold in high regard the exceptional Lynn Lowry.
Michelle Tomlinson has a special place in our hearts and it seems that watching her in Zombie movies is equally intoxicating. All three flesh-eating dead features she’s been in couldn’t be more thrilling for the very reason that we get to enjoy Michelle’s hypnotizing presence. She was all sassy as the touch chick in the award-winning gorefest “Brain Dead” and was a standout in “George’s Intervention”, delving into comedic territory as part of a Zombie Help Group. In her latest tale “My Undeadly”, Michelle is a woman who unfortunately becomes the food of choice for a hungry, brain snacking reanimated corpse. She projects a real fear as the victim or is she one at all! There lies one of her many charms; threading between vulnerability and strength in many of her roles. She’s also a most genial Scream Queen, well-loved by both fans and peers alike.
Watching those behind-the-scenes clips of Ginger Pullman discussing prosthetic vaginas and third nipples from her movie “The Millenium Bug” should be of intrigue to any horror fan. I was instantly hooked on how funny she can be. It really didn’t matter that those boobs on display were of a body double as she’s a bombshell nonetheless, although in this film, she’s rather creepy! As hillbilly clan member, Pearlene Crawford, she shows her villainous side under some macabre makeup and all this right before a humongous, bad-ass freak of nature starts chowing down on the unfortunate in this maniacal creature feature. For all the effects and gore, a monster movie does indeed depend on a talented cast and we get a taste of Ginger ably handling a stirring character. Aside from acting, we should also note that Ginger’s a mesmerizing fashion model.
Keiko Agena may not be your traditional horror starlet having captured the hearts of so many as Lane Kim from “Gilmore Girls” but we’re still passionate for her no matter the genre. She stars in the short film “Road Rage” as a female driver with temperamental issues who gets more than she bargained for after crossing paths with a stranger. Seeing her bruise-covered face in an on-set photo, expect her to fans the flames of trouble and promptly dismiss the belief that Asians are a patient, sentient lot. All i can say, Keiko is an ageless beauty who has thus far shone in everything she’s done. In fact, I was disappointed that her stint on “House M.D.” was a guest starrer; Imagine the witty banter that could have gone on between her Dr Cheng and Dr House. Never one to be pigeon-holed, she’s proving to be wildly popular on her own terms.
International audiences are falling head over heels in love with ANNA EASTEDEN whom industry insiders are endorsing as one Fascinating Uber-Babe. As the tenderhearted hooker Nina in her Best Supporting Actress Nominated role from “The House Of Branching Love”, she’s delectably hypnotizing in every frame. She also makes it conceivable that beautiful women can indeed be attracted to lesser desirable guys (not just a fantasy mind you) with her radiantly stellar performance. She’s definitely inculcate a desire in me to watch more Finnish productions…or is it a craving for more of luscious ANNA…hehe. It’s all about setting precedents on The Actress Obsession Blog and ANNA is the very first Finnish-American beauty to leave us spellbound right here. If you pine for flame-haired cuties such as Karen Gillan of “Dr Who” fame, there’ll be no hesitation to cast infatuating eyes on ANNA. It must be that sophisticated European femininity (ANNA is from Finland and Karen is Scottish of course) that men of the world can’t stop fixating about…well one glimpse at the skimpily-clad shots of her at the ANNA EASTEDEN OFFICIAL SITE and you’ll see why she rocks the resplendently sexy look…she does have those long slender gams!
As a fashion model, she spent a lot of time in Asia (she was even in my country Singapore..woot!!), along the way racking up a starring role opposite Rinko Kikuchi in the Japanese version of “Sideways”. ANNA has disclose to me that she’s been busy creating 9 short films for the FINNFest GALA of which one is the entertaining “A Taste of Suomi” (watch it above) whereby she tries her hand at comedy with fellow hottie Anya Monzikova (Femme Fatales). In addition, she’s in an exciting NBC Pilot “A Mann’s World” directed by Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City) with Don Johnson (Miami Vice) and Kelly Hu leading the cast. By the way, she also dazzled as a vamp on “Two and A Half Men” before Charlie Sheen’s unfortunate exodus! I rate the always affable ANNA as an accomplished actress and many people will discover that she’s a cultivated personality with a most cherished global appeal.
Many would have already found rising starlet MELISSA PAULO pretty scrumptious after catching her in the McDonalds McRibs Commercial way back in ’08. Her yummy status is set to thrive in 2011 since she’s spicing up both the television series “Femme Fatales” and MTV’s “Death Valley”. She did mesmerize at the recent Comic Con and from the photos I’ve seen, MELISSA is hands down a Living Doll. A model from Hawaii, her ethnicity comprises a bewitching mix of Japanese-Filipino plus slivers of European nationalities; let’s just say MELISSA is too bewitching not to be thoroughly captivated. She uses that very sexy quality to great effect on the episode “Girls Gone Dead” from “Femme Fatales” as a sorority girl who gains the ultimate revenge on a porn mogul, an obvious nod to sleazy Girls Gone Wild head honcho Joe Francis. MELISSA may have played the bookwormish Erida but there’s something dangerous brewing when the black-rimmed glasses and clothes come off. Clearly MELISSA is a delight from the get-go, at first as the innocent, smart girl and revealing her true colors as the seductress/killer. And just like she says in one of her scenes, we men can’t resist her and that’s so true even when she’s out of character.
All this means we have to keep our eyes peeled for this honey in the first two episodes of “Death Valley” premiering August 29th. In the meantime you can catch her in two web series, the Angels vs Demons “Soul Fire Rising” and the 4-part pilot “House Of Heather”. MELISSA’s gorgeous, come-hither brown eyes and tropical exotic look without question adds to her mystique. I must admit the coyness she displays in her roles is so fascinating. It’s always nice to feature striking personalities of our era and MELISSA has done her bit in getting us gushing over her.
Cutie Pie CAROLINE MACEY can rock the pixie hairstyle as immaculately as “Harry Potter” sweetheart Emma Watson or English Rose Carey Mulligan. She holds such fascination that I’ve created the new category ‘Quirky Saucy’ that will develop into showcase of talents such as CAROLINE who have their very own distinctive allure. Noted for playing a bi-sexual bass player hooked on meth in “Shugar Shank”, she’s taken on some of the more unorthodox characters with aplomb. From her TV Forays in shows such as “American Dreams” to starring alongside Dennis Rodman and Verne Troyer in “The Minis”, CAROLINE is at ease depicting oddball charm that’s so captivating. On track for more kookiness as Miss Robin in the upcoming Ed-Wood inspired tale “The Ghastly Love Of Johnny X”, she’s a bundle of sassy bombshell fun in the black and white on-set interview clip (above). She can also be quite the seductress and turns on the dirty as a wife who has the hots for her husband’s business partner in the entertaining short “The Dark Horse”…that’s until she goes all zany and starts breaking out into a rap ditty! There’s plenty of vivacity in her that will see this petite darling rapidly becoming an addictive watch. Head over to the CAROLINE MACEY OFFICIAL SITE for more of info on this perky blue-eyed blonde.
For more unerring cuteness from Caroline, she’s part of a trio of gals in the campy web series “Cu Cho” that promises to infuse Japanese adorableness into our lives…gotta to love the ‘Kawaii” Asian influences. If there’s one actress that’s going to endear herself to audiences this year, Miss CAROLINE MACEY is the best bet to capture our hearts! She makes it oh so easy to be attracted to her irrepressibility.
As you will have known, I’m in a foul mood due to my Youtube account being ridiculously terminated yet I soldier on because I know there are so many awesome women out there who will pull me through this setback. What better way than to throw the spotlight on Miss Alabama 2004 TARA DARBY, who most certainly brightens up this sometimes ugly online world and even uglier world events such as war, corruption and natural disasters. Besides being a stunning lady, I adore the entrepreneur in her, as she and fellow hottie Miss Massachusetts 2005 Cristina Nardozzi started Sashes and Crowns, a professional service for pageantry and modeling. I’m also starting my very own movement, so TARA’s beauty drive to empower women to achieve success in entertainment via Sashes and Crowns is to be applauded and recognized. So glad that not only did I get to connect with TARA on Facebook, I also managed to see her in “Frat Party” and the best part is yet to come, with her having a lead role in the horror flick “The Forest” come April. Spooky Japanese Suicide Forest, The Ring-like apparitions and of course Tara sizzling the film up means only 1 thing….A Must Watch especially since it’s my Birthday Month too!
Check out the TARA DARBY OFFICIAL SITE and get all the inside news on this statuesque honey. She’s remarkably delectable in a bikini and seriously a contender for Beach Babe in the Summer of 2011. Don’t forget her bubbly smile that surely warms any heart. It’s no wonder we are fascinated with Beauty Queens till today, as TARA has proven her worth as a multi-faceted entertainer prospering in a myriad of disciplines as a model, actress, host and beauty advisor.
First off I would like to pray for the victims of the Sendai Tsunami that has devastated the Japanese people and left a telling reminder of how life can never be taken for granted. Hence, I feel wholly blessed to be alive and have the golden opportunity to write about my greatest passion, global actresses whom i admire so. Therefore this tribute today goes out to rising starlet KYOKO OKAZAKI, her family who are safe back home in Japan and all Japanese citizens who are deeply affected by the sudden tragedy. As you know I’m all about optimism and just like me KYOKO is full of positivity. Born and raised in Okayama, she uprooted to the US and became noted for playing a tomboy who dresses in male clothing to avoid detection from the Yakuza in the Los Angeles play Utsutsu. Found out that ‘Utsutsu’ means reality and thus we can’t change who we are, as I think is being implied by the theatrical production. After being praised for her acting on stage, KYOKO has segued excellently into the independent scene with roles in a number of films.
With her splendidly infectious smile, KYOKO’s natural poise is pronouncedly easy to adore. Be sure to check her out in the upbeat dramedy “Mouse Ward” as well as the upcoming short “The Curse Of The Apple” as its leading lady. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw her on the cast list for serial killer thriller “Luster” and I’m crossing my fingers she survives till the end of the movie! I’m very fond of bubbly young actresses and there’s plenty of cheer in the corner of Miss KYOKO OKAZAKI. She’s so affable as I’ve found out chatting with her on FACEBOOK; Her likability certainly puts her in good stead to be a breakout star…Start Watching Her!
