It’s a stroke of luck that I came across the clip (above) of Eileen Dietz from her new thriller “Butterfly”. Eileen is somehow missing from the trailers (could it just a cameo??) but the scene that I mentioned is actually an excerpt from a snuff film made by the mentally disturbed protagonist Laney, the probable villain of “Butterfly” or is she? Comparisons with Ellen Page’s harrowing tale “Hard Candy” quickly come to mind; A troubled young girl playing twisted games with her object of obsession, bloodletting and gore being a necessary evil. In a special appearance, Eileen plays Joy Greenstahl, one of many who becomes immortalized in death on 24 frames per second of amateur video. Even at her most subtle, Eileen’s affinity with horror is clear and a host of upcoming roles should seal her status as the Queen Of Screams.

ANNIE BOON is an award-winning actress with an expansive radiance that’s unmissable. And just like she says in one of her scenes, we men can’t resist her and that’s so true even when she’s out of character.

All this means we have to keep our eyes peeled for this honey in the first two episodes of “Death Valley” premiering August 29th. In the meantime you can catch her in two web series, the Angels vs Demons “Soul Fire Rising” and the 4-part pilot “House Of Heather”. MELISSA’s gorgeous, come-hither brown eyes and tropical exotic look without question adds to her mystique. I must admit the coyness she displays in her roles is so fascinating. Festivals and conventions are regularly an awesome experience as we get a chance to watch some of the best emerging actresses on show. Katie Bearden may be a newcomer but she already fulfills the exciting promise of a blossoming indie horror talent. Check out the twisted short film “Monomanical” for her strenuously intense portrayal of a woman fleeing for her life from a killer. Katie was so wonderfully convincing, she left me on the edge of my seat as the eponymous Final Girl.

In the Native American Creature Feature “Maneater”, she didn’t but showed plenty of her Sex Bomb credentials as a married woman riding her lover in a tent. I love how she’d played her character dirty; There’s no holding back on her part and after watching the raunchy sex scene (above), audiences will know she has one killer figure and some sexy body art. People often forget actresses work their asses off doing a scene like that and we should applaud a foxily polished performance from the eternally sensual ALLISON.
