Indie Princess: Shawna Waldron

SHAWNA WALDON most definitely exudes a proliferating sensuality, advancing the sort of infatuation we tend to find irresistible. One of the canniest actresses in the biz, she drew on her talents to become the ultimate seductress in “Poison Ivy: The Secret Society”. While we do remember how Drew Barrymore and Alyssa Milano steamed up the screens in previous installments, SHAWNA excelled as the manipulative student Azalea who’s willing to do anything to get ahead. She does disrobe for the camera mirroring the inclination of her character to pursue her every desire at any cost. She’ll be the object of fascination once more in The upcoming horror flick “Lizzie”, a surrealistic meeting of two incarnations of Lizzie Borden, the infamous figure in a supernatural tale where past and present collide. As you know, the still unsolved Lizzie Borden murders seem to have an effect on many people till this day with theories on the mysterious killings a subject of great debate. With suggestions of the supernatural, the trailer for the film “Lizzie” (above) reels you in from the oft.

SHAWNA has previously shown her flair in intense roles, one of which was as the captive of a madmen in “Cyrus”. Caged like an animal, SHAWNA depicted the strains of predicament with such realism, it’s obvious we’ll be feeling empathy for the suffering realized onscreen. SHAWNA is a sexy lady indeed but she does have a degree of fragility etched on her face which she can use to great effect. It came to my attention how the photo of her skin-revealing pose (above) is quite similar to the one of Mary Louise-Parker’s which served as a promotional tool for “Weeds“. As you can see, SHAWNA has all the lusciousness of an emerging starlet. An underrated actress with bags of potential, she could find herself in the spotlight come 2012.

Hot Actress #451- Marcelle Baer: Sizzling Cutie

I’m must say I’m addicted to the thrills and scares of After Dark Horror Films and when you have a pool of amazing young performers translating the terrifying material onto the big screen, you’re swiftly hooked..:) I can’t wait to see glowing brunette MARCELLE BAER headline the After Dark Originals Entry ‘SCREAM OF THE BANSHEE’ with the Irish lore of the Banshee unleashed via an ornate box that dispels doom. Found the the trailer (above)…I have my MARCELLE BAER fix…YAY! With a sexy poster of the Banshee in crimson red (above) teasing us of what’s to come and a revered cast including genre fave Lance Henriksen and eternal cutie Lauren Holly, this has the makings of a horror classic. Meanwhile satiate yourselves with the indie swords and sandals Spartacus-like “Journey To Promethea” and even though the film was criticized, it has often been pointed out that the female cast led by Marcelle Baer were the saving grace of the fantasy; Billy Zane was way too campy for my taste!

Some of you may already know her from the parody ‘VAMPIRES SUCK’ and MARCELLE is stardom-bound especially since she’s appearing in the actioner ‘THE KIILLING GAME’ with luminaries such as Samuel L. Jackson, Kellan Lutz and Nina Dobrev of Vampire Diaries fame! A real charming young lady, her engaging cuteness and those flowing brown locks would have you falling at her feet in no time. When she bats her eyelids ever so slightly, she’s quite the dish…:) 2011 is the year we shall witness the rise of this lovely lady and a new found attraction to MARCELLE BAER..:)

Ever so often, we come across enchanting faces that are so vividly gorgeous that we have to watch them again and again. ANNE LEIGHTON is one such ravishing honey that in all likelihood will ensure your repeated attention. As Liv Tyler captivated throughout Bernardo Bertolucci’s ‘STEALING BEAUTY’, I find myself talking about ANNE’S comeliness in the same breath; I actually saw her in the trailer for the short film ‘LITTLE BLACK DRESS’ and I must say that ANNE is an absolute doll….oh how I’m a sucker for seraphic like candy romantic leading ladies. Recently seen in the docu-thriller ‘CYRUS: MIND OF A SERIAL KILLER’ alongside Princess Of Screams Danielle Harris, it was apt that they casted her as a college girl who is so stunning, she and her friends get drinks on the house. If you’ve seen her modeling photos, you would be inclined to endorse her blossoming appeal. If playing love interests is going to be her calling then ANNE doesn’t shy away from the controversial having worked on the Islamic Punk movement movie ‘THE TAQWACORES’. As a hot (there was never any doubt) ex-Catholic Islamic convert, she gets in way over her head entangled in a relationship with a Pakistani whose faith is in question.

It was never in doubt that performing is in her blood as at age eleven, she was chosen to appear in a production of The Nutcracker. With a clutch of stage productions and indie films, ANNE is well on her way to making her mark. She has the wherewithal to tackle a variety of roles none more so than in the upcoming ‘HOUSE OF PURGATORY’ which I’m pretty sure to catch she’ll be in Scream Queen mode! A naturally divine talent with the propensity to deliver eye-catching performances.
