Rising Starlet: Jessica Remmers

Projecting the sophisticated mystique made famous by French Wave goddesses such as Anouk Aimée and Anna Karina, JESSICA has those endearingly big eyes that glitters with sensuality. It’s apt that she’s cast in the horror anthology “The Theater Bizarre”, influenced by the Parisian Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol and delivering shockingly gory imagery with the expressionist horror tones ala “The Cabinet of Dr Caligari”. JESSICA’s role as Antonia being one of a group of women belonging to a bizarre and murderous cult with a taste for flesh. While JESSICA has appeared in a series of plays, shorts and indie flicks, she’ll no doubt be a rousing factor alongside horror hotties Lindsay Goranson, Elissa Dowling, Erin Marie Hogan and Lynn Lowry who plays the evil matriach. Be sure to check our her incredibly popular Tumblr Page JESSICA REMMERS AND THE NEW WAVE where she shares her thoughts on the art-film movement. Brigitte Bardot whom I reckon is one of her idols is emblazoned on the front page, a nod to the exquisite feminine inspiration she feeds off as a performer.

In the experimental short “Savanna” (above), one can see how she belongs in features with an avant-garde quality, her refined beauty being such a joy to savor. THE VANYA SHOW is also one of her upcoming projects where JESSICA takes on her Russian alter-ego who has an intriguing allure waiting to be unveiled! So Look out for her in “The Theatre Bizarre“, one of the Main Films screening at Film4 FrightFest UK 2011 as we discover the blossoming sweetness of this inviting model/actress.

Rising Starlet: Dana DeLorenzo

To remember singer extraodinaire Amy Winehouse, it is poignantly essential to feature attractive DANA DELORENZO who cites Amy as being a heavy influence on her as an entertainer. DANA is of course the lead vocalist for tribute band HOUSE OF WINEHOUSE who stayed true to the spirit of Amy, the recently deceased artist with the signature beehive do and sultry bluesy vocals. In DANA’s words, Amy enriched her life and those of many others worldwide. By not conforming to the forced machination into a pop idol purported so frequently by the music industry, Amy charted her way to success as a one-of-a-kind performer. She was unique in molding her own image and for all her flaws, I rather remember Amy for indelibly changing the music landscape on her own terms. What DANA and her tribute band are doing is amazing, honoring the life of Amy Winehouse as a stirringly talented musician and DANA can certainly rock it! By the way, DANA is a whiz at Celebrity Impressions delightfully impersonating Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and even the ditzy Kim Kardashian….she had me tickled pink! Don’t miss the Chelsea Handler and Sarah Silverman caustic war of words skit with Liza Minnelli putting in her hilarious two cents worth in the clip (above). She captured the essence of each one with excellence. HEY! Give this girl her very own comedy sketch show like now!

DANA is also an accomplished stage and indie actress, most recently seen alongside horror icon Robert Englund in “The Mole Man Of Belmont Avenue” which had its share of laughs and scares. Her character Stoner Molly involved being dressed as a creepy clown and looking all psycho! Adept at different incarnations onscreen as well as multiple accents, this beauty with the Italian heritage has played everything from a Latina sidekick to a scandalous stripper. She’s born to perform and while DANA is known for being strikingly remarkable in her posh, often cussing Amy Winehouse impersonation, she stands on her own merit as a dramatic actress.

Hot Actress #410 – Allison Wottawa:Rising Starlet

 alt=  alt=

Voluptuous cutie ALLISON WOTTAWA may bear a resemblace to ‘Prison Break’ Starlet Sarah Wayne Callies yet this hottie has a very enthralling back story. Immersing herself in theatrical productions and studying under renowned directors in London, ALLISON realized she had what it takes to pursue acting. Returning to LA, she’s been in several indie flicks and is currently the hostess of ‘ALLY QUEST’, the travelogue with a difference. For anyone wishing they could travel back in time, ALLISON transports us to the golden days of yore and for some gain a semblance of nostalgia. I especially love the 1940s era that led to the rise of film noir. Now we all can indulge in a piece of history as well as read up on this enchanting young lady at the ALLISON WOTTAWA OFFICIAL SITE

A real darling on camera, I adore the drive she has for her craft and enjoyed reading the journal of her experiences in the historic streets of LA. ALLISON is a genuine charmer, attractively desirable in both looks and personality….:) She’s also an eloquent travel writer describing every nuance and moment perfectly; Thanks to Allison I now know what a funicular is (a cross between a train and an elevator). I say let’s make a quest to follow Allison Wottawa as she embarks on her own trip to keep us entertained…:)
