Final Girls are as iconic as the scariest horror movie villains and with Halloween spooking up the world, a toast to genre darling ADRIENNE KING is in order. Venerated by the masses as the memorable face of “Friday The 13th”, her turn as ALICE HARDY is one where she reinvented the plucky girl next door by not sticking to the conventions of her role. She transcended the token modest wholesomeness of camp counselor Alice, instead sublimely playing the character as a creative type and supplanting it with a courageous mettle. Going toe-to-toe with Mrs Voorhees and leaving her headless made her the revered idol that she is for many a horror devotee till this day. While the sequel to the “Friday the 13th” remake still festers in development hell, once it comes to fruition, they should really have a juicy part ready for Adrienne. Especially since her return to cinema from a self-imposed hiatus (due to a harrowing stalking incident in her past) has been met with fervent approval. Get excited over her appearance as the mysterious enigma Louise Strack in “Psychic Experiment” (formerly titled “Walking Distance) alongside Debbie Rochon and “Paranormal Activity” starlet Katie Featherstone which she has confirmed to be deliciously captivating.
It’s amazing to see Adrienne capturing the nostalgia of “Friday the 13th” with her vino label CRYSTAL LAKE WINES and in the 8 minute short “Back to the Lake II” (above), she shows us why we’ll always have a thing for sole survivors…..and alcohol….hehe. Her vivaciousness continues to beguile generations and I bet her global fanbase wants a taste too as will Jason himself!! She’s also embodied the painter in her reproducing dark art some of which impressions of her striking instances as the heroic Alice. The ADRIENNE KING OFFICIAL SITE is the very place to admire the terror hottie who defined a generation and beyond. Her comeback has been 30 years in the making and it’s an honor to be in awe of such a gorgeous and influential independent horror personality.
