We don’t get our fair share of Scottish horror so when a unique thriller like “Outcast” comes along, I jumped at the chance to enjoy its derivative werewolf plot as well as to watch Scottish thesp Kate Dickie. With a beastly son in tow, she’s all about intense feeling as the over-protective matriarch witch and even does full frontal nudity in a ritual. Also catch her in the explicit indie “Red Road” where she literally straddles pleasure and pain as a security cam operative meddling in the live of others.
She’s been called the one that got away but Prince William’s loss is a boon for every other red-blooded male. Apparently she spurned The Royal one’s advances…oops! Depicting the wolves (Agnes plays one) as animals rather than hybrids ala “Underworld”gave the film its own little realism. From her surname alone, one would soon gather that Agnes is a bewitching mix of Russian and Hungarian, easily illiciting wolf whistles with that stunning innocence of hers.
