Canadian Vixen: Lisa Durupt

LISA DURUPT is a cherubic charmer with a thoroughly affable personality that will leave you enraptured. She does draw comparisons to Kristen Bell as some media have pointed out but LISA channels her own brand of effervescent vivaciousness which a vast majority of viewers are certain to fall for. With me being her fan from overseas, I was pleasantly surprised by how approachable she is, even giving me an insight into her acting crystal ball. She teases her upcoming role in the new Kokanee movie coming out in Canada next year where she has just wrapped filming. Who says one can’t make a movie about British Columbia’s best selling beer and it may just be a comedy smash! LISA’s intepretation of her character involves being a tad kooky and she handles the role in such a delightful manner, even in some of the more nutty moments. She does appear as a nurse in an episode of the hit show “Psych” and while I’ve yet to view it here in Asia, LISA would surely be mesmerizing.

Sizzling Cutie: Jessa Zarubica

JESSA ZARUBICA has a bubbly charm certain to pique your interest and she is as talented as she is enchanting. My current job as a blogger community manager entails meeting some of the most beautiful women on social media and what can I say but be euphorically amazed. Likewise getting to know actresses such as the vivacious JESSA via the web is also a blessing…:) I did come across her work on the indie horror “Portal” where as one of the guests at a creepy motel, she gets sucked into a hallucinogenic trip ala Groundhog Day. Events continue to replay themselves over time and we soon find out the motel is run by a sinister coven of witches. Check out a snippet from her reel (above) as the character Nora. Fitting the bill as a spicy little cocktail, Korean-American comedienne NATALIE KIM gets tastier by the day. While I may have miss out on the premiere of her new web series “SuperTwins“, the reception for the launch of the first episode has been more than glowing. Twice the angst and twice the sardonic lightheartedness, your friendly neighborhood superheroes just got a little cynical. NATALIE plays Karin, one-half of the fraternal magically-endowed super humans who find themselves urgently in need of discovering their mojo to regain their fame. Move over Wonder Twins, there’s a new dynamic duo in town delivering clever humor faster than you can say ‘Powers Activate’!! Although just like the forthcoming hero orgy of the Avengers, you can sense the tension brewing between the SuperTwins as their personalities are poles apart. While Karin’s the driven one, she expects only the best from her party animal brother Kai (played by Trevor Zhou) giving the series its slice of drama. NATALIE is a credible delight in the skin of Karin who we learn is struggling to live up to her noble reputation.

“SuperTwins” is written by Natalie and two-time Emmy Award Winning Josiah Madigan of Cash Cab fame which should pique your interest even more.
