Most Enchanting Attractions At River Safari Singapore

Discover a whole new wildlife adventure flowing with incredible experiences! On the River Safari Singapore, it will always be AN ADVENTURE TO REMEMBER!

1. Beguiling Giant Pandas Kai Kai & Jia Jia

 alt=

Pandas do sleep up to ten hours a day, two to four hours at a time and seeing them in the state of rest (above), they look cuter than ever! Kai Kai is more of the exhibitionist in contrast with Jia Jia hence the shots of him sleeping but any glimpses of them is enough to make us melt.

 alt=

The Giant Panda forest is where visitors can find these adorable twosome and a little bit of patience is needed if you’re hoping for a peek at Kai Kai and Jia Jia. Efforts have also been done to best replicate their natural habitat as those found in China with dense bamboo and coniferous trees. As you walk through the reserve, notice the cool temperature which is ideal for the Giant Pandas.

2. Animal Show at Amazon Square

 alt=  alt=

An animal show certainly puts a smile on a child’s face and even adults. River Safari has its very own which are held daily. At the animal show at Amazon Square, visitors get to interact with a variety of animals. There’s elements of pleasant surprises at every stage of the show from vultures swooping down from the air to being able to touch the skins of reptiles such as snakes and turtles.

 alt=
 alt=  alt=

The animal handlers are professional and injected quite a bit of humor during the show. Unafraid to get their hands dirty, especially when animals were spraying away with their overactive bladders, they made the show trickle along with tons of fun.

3. Menagerie of Fishes and Animals

 alt=

The park is divided into two areas, halved by the Upper Seletar Reservoir. The first area called Rivers of the World contains the 7 “Rivers” – it features mostly sea animals like fishes and crocodiles. Freshwater habitats are the main focus here.

 alt=
 alt=  alt=

The Mississippi River zone was the longest and had several unique fishes including the Alligator Gar and the weird-looking paddlefish. The dual row of large teeth in the upper jaw of the Alligator Gar makes it fearsome while the paddlefish spatula-like snout, called a rostrum makes it quite a sight to behold. In comparison to the giants, the African Dwarf Crocodile is tiny and wouldn’t be considered dangerous at all.

 alt=
 alt=

On the other hand, the large Indian Gharials with their famed elongated snouts are a must-see exhibit at The Ganges River Zone. These crocs stand out from the rest of their species and they are a spectacle to behold especially during feeding time!

 alt=

At the end of the Rivers zone that will be a bridge that will take you to the second area, Wild Amazonia which features mostly rainforest animals. There is the free roaming netted enclosure with lots of tiny Squirrel Monkeys where these little ones show their cheeky side. They are as captivated by us as we are of them I’m sure!

4. Colorful Goodies All Over River Safari

 alt=  alt=

Around River Safari are stalls selling panda bear drinks which are encased in adorably shaped bottles bound to catch the eye. I reckon even the red pandas are dreaming about having a taste of the sweet liquid.

 alt=

At the end of the Panda Exhibit is a retail shop followed by a booth where you can take pictures against a green screen which will be photoshopped as a momento. Well stocked with Panda souvenirs, be prepared to part with serious money if you want to own some.

 alt=
 alt=
 alt=

The Chinese fast food style eatery Mama Panda Kitchen has its menu styled on the Giant Panda’s favorite food. Of course, the highlight has to be the Panda Pau which is sumptuous when eaten hot.

5. Amazon Flooded Forest

 alt=
 alt=
 alt=

Located at the end of Wild Amazonia is the Amazon Flooded Forest, a re-creation of the wondrous South American rainforest. This is a behemoth exhibit in terms of its sheer size with underwater viewing galleries that will take you from the very bottom of the forest floor up to the water’s surface spanning several levels of 10 metres in height.

Marvel at Giant Otters, voracious red-bellied pirahnas, the giant arapaima and the graceful manatees all living in their natural habitat mirroring the underbelly of the submerged Amazon. Explore the cavernous-like structure in all its dimly lit glory and experience River Safari through your senses.

Must Watch TV Vixens Of Summer 2013!

It’s the greatest feeling when one of my actress friends give me the thumbs up for featuring them here on this blog. Even better when I see them being successful in their careers. If only the world is that supportive as I’ve recently found out on twitter and facebook that there’s some who will have disdain for you no matter what. For me, it’s about being supportive of my friends and people of various industries (i.e. actressses, bloggers, communities etc) for only then will you become a better person. So give a shout out to the women who will sizzle on TV this summer!

1. Kayla Mae Maloney, star of “The Glades”

 alt=

- Cuteness is an addiction and if there’s one lady we’ll be adoring for quite some time is the ebullient Kayla Mae Maloney.
- In Season 4 of “The Glades”, her character Dr. Miranda Buckley gets close to Kiele Sanchez’s Callie…hmmm…wonder how intimate will this relationship really get???
- Reasons why you should see her dazzle TV Land (quotes taken from her tumblr page):

 alt=

Ok, Father’s Day is not tomorrow but you have to admit Kayla brings up very interesting points…:)

2. Holland Roden, star of “Teen Wolf”

 alt=

- All hail the return of one of the hottest faces on television as Miss Holland Roden charms us once more only this time in a more emotionally laid-bare sort of way.
- While Season 3 of Teen Wolf will have the Alpha Pack, the very foxy Holland and her co-star Crystal Reed should be called the delectable duo!
- Catch her in person on 23 June 2013 as she heats up the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention.

3. Daya Vaidya, star of “Twisted”

 alt=

- Daya Vaidya’s recurring role in the new drama “Twisted” will reacquaint viewers with why she’s so unforgettable, having appeared in the series of the same name.
- She embodies the character Sandy who is a tough, saucy female deputy with street smarts and a flirtatiousness to remember!
- This Nepalese-born starlet has a very pleasant appeal because of her accommodating demeanor and is likely to be sought after soon enough.

4. Susie Abromeit, star of “The Have & The Have Nots”

- This list wouldn’t be complete without a striking blonde and Susie has the right personality to make us all swoon.
- Having shown her wild side in several comedies, she’s set to entice us on Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and Have Nots”
- Susie’s also a popular model due to the fact that she is individualistic when it comes to posing for the camera.

Hot Comedienne: Marieve Herington

 alt=  alt=

Cute redhead MARIEVE HERINGTON is a pleasure to watch and she’s so likable, it’s conceivable that viewers would be gravitating towards her. I have to admit that I’m blessed to be surrounded by pleasantly charming women such as the ebullient MARIEVE who regularly keep me in the loop on the happenings in the industry, notably the goings-on in her career thus far. You may have seen her guest-starring on hits “How I Met Your Mother” and “Good Luck Charlie”, catching the eye ever since. On May 5th 2013, MARIEVE returns to “Good Luck Charlie” as Winnie who becomes a friend and cooking partner with leading man PJ Duncan (Jason Dolley) after crossing paths at a cooking school. With the Disney show going into its 4th and final season yet being adored by the masses, it should go a long way in elevating Canadian-born MARIEVE as a burgeoning talent.

This also means a visit to the MARIEVE HERINGTON OFFICIAL SITE is in order. Wow i just discovered she also answers fan questions on her FACEBOOK PAGE which means she’ll be able to dish a little gossip on her successes. Besides the screen, MARIEVE has also been a voice-over maven for several animated features; recently as the Hyrax on Fox’s hit “Ice Age: Continental Drift.” She also fronts Jazz act “The Marieve Herington Band” and her immaculate vocals shine every time she performs. Call her the Perky Priestess of Entertainment for she’s about to enchant us in 2013 and beyond.

Canadian Vixen: Paula Giroday

 alt=  alt=

PAULA GIRODAY is a babe hands down and she’s about to bewitch audiences in “True Heroines”, a fascinating genre bending web series. There’s housewives with extraordinary powers, dazzling burlesque and of course those vintage hair curls which has seen its fair share of fondness. More and more, we’re seeing the popularity of all things retro explode! Perpetuating the swinging 50′s, “True Heroines” is hot on the heels of “Mad Men” as well as “Bomb Girls” and features 3 of the foxiest ladies on the web. PAULA is joined by Jovanna Huguet and Fiona Vroom, all three showcasing their enigmatic grace in such well-crafted roles. It’s nice to see them endowed with super abilities yet having to be subtle about it as they go about their existence as homely women. As Dottie Rodriguez, PAULA is enchanting as a woman of strength who is also blessed with a very cheery disposition. She also gets to flaunt her marvelous dance moves (check out Episode 3 – “For All We Know”).

PAULA has also been on several hit shows such as “Fringe”, “Once Upon A Time” and “Motive”. She is a natural at being sassy and with her being so delectably convincing on camera, there’ll be progressive admiration for her in the months ahead. She is flawless in her own sweet way and it won’t be too long before PAULA’s name is emblazoned with praises.

Rising Starlet: Elinor Crawley

 alt=  alt=

Yet again another hottie in the ethereal form of ELINOR CRAWLEY makes her maiden appearance on “Vikings” and she does have comely features many will take a liking to. ELINOR plays Thyri, the daughter of Earl Haraldson (Gabriel Byrne), a high-ranking and ruthless Viking leader who is at odds with ambitious Ragnar Lothbrok. We soon learn Thryi is betrothed to a man old enough to be her grandfather! Expect ELINOR to become a regular on “Vikings” and she’s also about to dazzle in another costume drama series called “The White Queen” only this time as a princess in feudal England. Women are this time the centerpiece as these are episodic tales of their quest for power….mighty interesting indeed!

ELINOR does have a delectable adorableness and having indicated both her interest to be featured as well as the greatness of my blog, I can only advocate her pleasantly affable attributes. She may not have been the first Welsh actress to be lauded here (she’s from Cardiff) but rest assured she can take our breath away with her angelic cuteness. While the first few episodes of “Vikings” herald the showcase of Canadian Vixens, the next few will see the emergence of actresdes from the UK who should soon get their set of devoted fans. ELINOR looks best placed to blossom into a TV Sweetheart.

Canadian Vixen: Kristen Gutoskie

 alt=  alt=

If ever there was an actress with a persuasive geniality, KRISTEN GUTOSKIE would be the sweetheart we would have no qualms showing her complete passion. When you switch your TV set on and tune in to the latest Season of “Republic Of Doyle”, her charismatic endearment is clear for all to see. Starring as spunky reporter Kyla MacRury, she ruffles Allan Hawco aka Jake’s feathers a wee bit and has her own agenda. In the episode “Multitasking”, even getting a bloody lip in a fisticuffs with a ‘Psychic’ baddie or so we are led to believe. Krystin Pellerin who plays stunning cop Leslie Bennett sure has some competition in the hottie stakes and being a huge fan of Canuck Talents, I certainly welcome the constant array of screen sirens. Especially when KRISTEN has also been eye-catching on fish out of water comedy series “Beaver Falls”. As camp counsellor Rachael who has a on again off again relationship with British import A-Rab, the many dramatic pitfalls between the two lovebirds make for fascinating viewing. I may be a little biased here but KRISTEN is a big reason why her character is so engrossing and appealing.

She does facilely radiates a lovely, winsome vibe that is to be admired. Just like the likable actress she played in the indie film “Moon Point” back in 2011, KRISTEN is herself sweet-natured, taking the time to acknowledge even fans like me who live in ASIA. Since I’m guessing you’re already into her, check out the various interviews she’s done on youtube and discover her genuine mellifluousness. It’s easy to adore KRISTEN when she’s this relishable…:)

TV Vixen: Lisa Long

 alt=  alt=

LISA LONG should be raved about especially since her appearances on television over the years are satisfyingly fascinating. I have the utmost respect for LISA as she joins the likes of Emmy Rossum and Shanola Hampton in un-glamorizing themselves for the mundane, simplistic nature of their characters. LISA guest-stars as Scotty, a lesbian who together with William H. Macy’s Frank Gallagher try to work through their same sex tendencies via copulation. The search for stimulation and awkward sexual tension between the two is brilliantly played out with LISA’s believability as a conflicted lesbian onscreen never in doubt. Her boldness to dive into a topless scene on that very episode ‘Civil Wrongs’ from Season 3 of “Shameless” has to be applauded and more so than ever we’re seeing riveting depictions of real women such as how LISA has evinced.

Don’t underestimate her attractiveness one bit for she does have soulful eyes certain to engage and captivate. Lisa was also recently on “Community” as Lorraine, the decision maker who approves a grant to cure ‘ChangNesia’ whom Chang (Ken Jeong) cooked up as faked amnesia. A visit to the LISA LONG OFFICIAL SITE details her stint as a voiceover artist on gaming sites as well as being the mom of Sandy (Stella Maeve) in “The Runaways”, the Joan Jett story. Can’t wait to see what her next role will be but going by Lisa’s track record it will intrigue.

Foxy Femme: Nadia Lanfranconi

 alt=  alt=

Her bewitching facets and myriad of inner talents is why NADIA LANFRANCONI can make anyone have the hots for her in a flash. This Italian temptress has consistently exhibited her sizzle factor as an actress,model,host, musician and artist. If you’re looking to sample some of her impressive media endeavors, head over to the NADIA LANFRANCONI OFFICIAL SITE where you’ll be greeted by her single “A Piece Of This World”, a pleasing soft rock tune. In the arena of indie flicks, “Alien Showdown” is a sci-fi actioner where NADIA is leading lady in this story of a lone cowboy battling an alien invader on Earth. Whilst low budget, there’s elements of “Cowboys Vs Aliens” and “Predator” that should keep DVD fanboys happy as well as the fact that NADIA is gracing the screen with her stunning attributes! She’s also been on the hit show “1000 Ways to Die” and the web series “FemVamp.Com”

Generation after generation, Italian actresses have been feted for their exceptional allure and NADIA justifiably merits as being noteworthy beauty wise. Not just about looking gorgeous, NADIA backs it up with her singing and songwriting ability, giving her an extra edge when it comes to her rapidly blossoming career. Everyone knows being prominently mesmerizing as NADIA has so often shown will send men to their knees in 2013 and beyond.
