With MAYA, she’s been enticing us from the start, her breakthrough role as a innocent yet seductive nurse in Marco Bellochio’s “LA BALIA” led to her rapid rise. Her upcoming feature “Alceste à bicyclette (Cycling With Moliere)” sees MAYA going the arthouse route as a divorcee called Francesca, the love interest of the dramedy where she converses in French throughout. It’s no exaggeration to admire the romanticism instilled by Italian actresses and MAYA has proven to be mesmerizing each time.

Buzz has descended on this indie hottie thanks to her potently striking performance in “A Teacher” which is making waves at this year’s Sundance Film Fest. You’ll be Hot For Teacher when you watch LINDSAY portray masterfully the dark depths of obsession as a Texas high-school educator who starts an affair with her student. It’s a challenging role of which is a no-no in certain circles but her performance has already seen her being commended as a Sundance Sensation! Since this is an obsession blog of sorts, it’s fitting that LINDSAY is sizzling this feature. I find myself honored to be able to throw the spotlight on an ingénue who is currently the toast in the town of UTAH. She is on the Verge List which recognizes exceptional talents and includes perennial Indie Queens Ambyr Childers and Amy Seimetz.
Besides “A Teacher”, LINDSAY was in another gem called “First Winter” a thought-provoking feature of a commune dealing with the onset of winter. Admittedly, resonating with audiences are her tangible performances that sometimes borders on the controversial and she’s proving to be a memorably compelling face. LINDSAY would be turning into quite the crush for fans I’m sure and that’s healthy considering she’s so genial. Sundance is hailing her name and soon the world will follow suit in idolizing Miss LINDSAY BURDGE.

JESSICA BLANK is going to be all the rage with her turn as sassy Deb Garretti Keenan on “Made In Jersey”, the newest drama to hit TV screens. The ensemble of stunning women in the smart, entertaining show is priceless with JESSICA joining Janet Montgomery (lead actress who plays her sister), Erin Cummings (Bonnie) and Donna Murphy (Mum Darlene) who rounds off the Garretti clan. Even though my efforts to connect with Miss Janet Montgomery didn’t pay off (she so kindly stated her online presence as being private), I will be eternally grateful to JESSICA for accepting me as a fan and friend. Her approachable personality is so desirable very much in keeping with her engaging and foxy presence on the first two episodes of “Made In Jersey”. Many would remember how she proved to be a temptation for Ted Danson in Season 1 of “Bored To Death” where she flaunted her enticingly svelte bod.
This multi-talented dazzler is also a writer and “The Exonerated”, a play she wrote is currently running again off-broadway, in a revival of its original run. The opening cast includes luminaries Stockard Channing, Delroy Lindo and Brian Dennehy with this week cast member being the always lovely Brooke Shields. She did pass me her detailed bio which for now I’m reserving for more future reviews on Miss Jessica. What is memorable for me as I’ve noticed through the years is how down to earth actresses such as JESSICA have been and everyone knows she’s slated to be a big star! The focus on exciting prospects continues with the beautiful JENNI HALINA who is congenial as she is bewitching. Through her mutual friend and fellow actress Kandis Erickson, we became acquainted after she spotted my article on Kandis. These 2 divine ladies are also co-stars in the upcoming indie film “Love You More” which is in post production. Even if the trailer (above) is lacking JENNI’s part in the romantic drama, there’s enough to suggest her role will be one to look forward to. JENNI and me have been in constant contact despite our busy schedule and she’s been ever so kind in updating me on her career progression. Thus far JENNI has garnered rave reviews for her role as a seductive mistress in the play called “The Inventor, The Escort, The Photographer, Her Boyfriend and His Girlfriend.” It’s written by Matt Morillo, and it’s a hilarious sex comedy playing at the Lounge Theater in Hollywood.
