Canadian Vixen: Patricia Isaac

Once more I’m humbled by the presence of another big star on the ascendancy and she is the vivacious Patricia Isaac who is strikingly luscious on “Republic Of Doyle”. She also has the distinction of being on two fascinating shows which also includes the new series “Motive” alongside Kristin Lehman and Lauren Holly. In “Motive”, she’s all business-like as crown prosecutor Donna Rivers while her stint on “Republic Of Doyle” has seen her stirring mischief for private eye Jake Doyle. We all love the playful aspects in a lady and as Constable Monica Hayward, PATRICIA is so enchanting when she’s being an irritant to our hero Doyle. In episode 6 of Season 4 aptly named “Retribution”, she gets her comeuppance when she gets blindsided by a female art thief. Plus she gets all tied up and left hanging in her lingerie no less which no doubt will spark lots of adulation. In an interview, PATRICIA reckons she had a fun time on set and was even actively involved in a lot of the action scenes.

Known for her polite charm, being one of her supporters from half way around the world is me being drawn to her vivid beauty. A hot property on every medium she’s been in, CHRISTINA is naturally one of the most coveted actresses of our era.

Sizzling Cutie: Natalie Cordone

Shriekfest 2012 is also about featuring otherworldly films and NATALIE CORDONE is one Sci-Fi Hottie we should all take a liking to…:) She stars in the Star Wars Fan film “A Light In The Darkness” which recently won 1st Place in the Fan Film category at Dragon Con among many other accolades. As Kyla, the best friend of central character Farin who is an aspiring Jedi, she’s his trusted ally who has a special place in his heart. And as we’ll soon find out in the big reveal has her own extraordinary gift. Just as “A Light In The Darkness” is an independent gem, there’s plenty in NATALIE’s performance to suggest she’s one to have eyes for. How can one not be swayed by that beaming smile of hers, angelic yet with a tinge of flirtatiousness making her a sight to behold.

Well by now, everyone should know how I never fail giving due recognition to women in entertainment and a visit to the NATALIE CORDONE OFFICIAL SITE is in order. Rising Starlet: Jessika Van

JESSIKA VAN is one of the sweetest personalities in the industry and she harbors a stirring versatility when it comes to her craft. There’s going to be 2 instances where we’ll start falling for her. First off is her appearance at the LA Shorts Fest in the bittersweet family drama “Reunion“. As the lead Hannah, she impeccably etches on her character’s face a display of vulnerability that’s honest a result of somber events in her life. On a lighter note, she will star in Season 2 of “Awkward” as Becca who gets into a tangle with Ming Huang played by Jessica Lu. In keeping with her preference for mixing it up, JESSIKA has revealed on a recent interview, it is a fun role which will keep everyone guessing. One can deduce that this inviting girl is all for the notion that variety is the spice of life!

It’s great to see her flying the flag for Asian-American talents and she can also be beguiling as a Singer-Songwriter, Pianist and Dancer. Being Asian myself, JESSIKA would definitely belong in a special place of my heart and it’s only natural to champion her onscreen exploits, especially since she’s been amazingly likable on the independent scene. Admittedly, JESSIKA’s adorable voice adds an extra layer to her timeless appeal. All signs point to her progression into a breakout star and if her varied onscreen intensity is anything to go by, she’s going to be well-received and enjoy an enduring devotion.

Sizzling Cutie: Kathryn Lyn

Call her the fantasy of geeks everywhere and call her cool, KATHRYN LYN has many hitting on her thanks to some dexterous skills. I’m referring to the Gamer Girl in her, the eminent quality we find so craveworthy! Her penchant for titles such as ‘Metal Gear Solid’ and ‘God Of War’ have already amassed devotees who eagerly follow this attractive lady of gaming, whether she’s reviewing or playing one. What about her cuteness which makes anyone feel at ease just like when she memorably interview much adored band Green Day (above). She’s on par with the level of addiction you would have for your favorite video game.

The disturbing indie horror flick “Lesser Miracles” will see KATHRYN take on the role of an unstable women Riley who descends into a bout of insanity, seemingly a consequence of an accident. The chilling transformation is a must see as KATHRYN’s character grapples with the mysterious voice in her head, warning her of a frightening event in the near future. It’s as though KATHRYN has been handling the inner turmoil onscreen for years, here’s an indie princess waiting to blossom. This Michigan-born hottie could very well be the newest breakout star!

Sexy Siren: Christy Carlson Romano

She’s the Disney Princess who steamed up the screens late 2010 and the transformation of CHRISTY CARLSON ROMANO into an enchantress has been met with fervent approval. Having read how her devoted fan base looks up to her, the measure of her influence can be seen in how she’s touched the masses regardless of their age groups. More recently, she has plumb for the grittier stuff such as a young woman entering into a suicide pact with her friend and documenting their downward spiral via video in “Suicide Dolls”. Additionally, who can forget her steamy exposure in “Mirrors 2″ (the celebrated bath scene of a horror flick) followed by one of the goriest deaths enacted onscreen at the hands of her character’s evil reflection. Her nude scene received a rapturous upshot and shedding her good girl image is the kind of professionalism she believes in. According to an interview she gave, it is her desire to do whatever she wants with her body, not a case of seeking attention at all and this frankness she exemplifies is most refreshing.

Before you can say “The Walking Dead”, CHRISTY will put her Scream Queen shoes on and try to survive hordes of zombies in the upcoming “The Infected”. Just when we thought we knew everything under the sun, this film addresses another twist on the origins of your typical zombie apocalypse! She may have on her plate some rather grim roles but there’s one constant throughout and that’s her mesmeric pull. From teen idol to vamp and her emergence in a more adult-oriented capacity, the tall and lissome CHRISTY maintains her undying vestige of appeal. She’s always had the Star Quality and now we’ve seeing it magnified.

Quirky Saucy: Rae Latt

RAE LATT is quite the refined charmer and it’s her offbeat loveliness that will have her touching many hearts soon enough. This smily, gorgeous brunette has characterized wide-ranging personas on film, television and the internet, some which you may have come across already. She’s currently in the entertaining “Vamps Next Door”, the web series with an amusing bite, illustrating that ‘The Cullens’ are not the only ones sucking up to audiences! Enter the Tepes Family who try their hand at being human and keeping everything as bloodless as possible (like that’s ever going to happen…hehe). RAE adds a kooky flavor as NANCY FINSTER, the next door neighbor with nosy husband in tow who has no inkling of the bloodlust the Tepes have…the way she eloquently refers to their family name as ‘Tepesh’ is priceless! It’s easy to see why her first love has always been comedy for she’s a natural at depicting understated humor, snagging roles on shows such as “The Office”, “The Wanda Sykes Show” and “Victorious”. This year, she was a guess-starrer on the “Criminal Minds” episode ‘The Stranger’, sharing screen time opposite Mr Cool Joe Mantegna no less and playing a wife whose babysitter gets brutally killed in her home.

Born and bred in Southern California, RAE’s Latin/Eastern European roots gives her a distinctive quality to her attractiveness. The captivating virtues she has are twofold seeing how she’s also a funnywoman and we know how sexy they can be, transcending the physical aspects…:) While her forte lies in comedic roles, her appearance in the 80s-styled slasher “BLOODY HOMECOMING” will see her in much gorier fare. I don’t think we need much cajoling to appreciate this brown-eyed beauty. It might be the month of Breaking Dawn (Twilight Fever yet??) but this is also the time when breakout stars are made and there’s every possibility RAE can achieve such a prestige.

Sizzling Cutie: Alicia Anthony

Future stars are so often unearthed on the independent scene and ALICIA ANTHONY could very well be the newest with a debut that has aroused keen interest. Some like Amy Adams had to slog for years to get to where she is while others like Jennifer Lawrence struck big thanks to a resonating performance (Winter’s Bone) and the winsome ALICIA has more than shown her enchanting credibility onscreen at the first time of asking. She’s the leading lady of “Wuss” in the skin of Maddie, a student with an undesirable past who by the hand of fate crosses path with her teacher Mitch. Let’s just say she’s the polar opposite of most high school students with an inherently dim view towards teachers, an anti Tracy Flick if you will. Not the type to join in the bandwagon of ridicule on her weakling of a teacher, she uses her infamy that’s seeming striking fear on all sides of the school population to shade him from the abuse. Wanton bullying in institutions has been around for ages but to have it happening to an educator with such brutal fashion as in “Wuss” is an eye-opener. Inevitably. revenge is set in motion by the inappropriately attached teacher-student duo, each with their own demons to purge. ALICIA impeccably handles every bit of the darkly humorous material courtesy of Writer/director Clay Liford. Audiences can catch the movie’s run from November 6-7 at the AFI Fest 2011.

For ALICIA, it must have been a moment of serendipity as she was discovered by the film’s producers at a Taco stand where she used to worked. Mesmerizing as the reticently complex Maddie, they were spot on their choice of ALICIA in the integral role. I’ve read that she has an aura and a smile that’s saliently captivating…ahhh….more reasons to love her. It’s also great to see Arianne Martin (a fav actress of mine) in the cast of “Wuss” and I can foresee ALICIA becoming an indie sweetheart in her own right.
