Some women are just breath-taking so it’s a given to quickly take a liking to them as we should for MADELINE MERRITT who has all the virtues of an enchanting sweetheart. The film festivals are coming in thick and fast with Dances With Films 2013 being the next big one! MADELINE of course is making her presence felt with her appearance on raucous comedy “American Idiots” screening at the Chineese Theatre on May 31st. Lionsgate will also be releasing the film on June 16th so that’s ample time between now and then to be smitten with MADELINE. Most of us may remember her from “The Guest House”, a deeply romantic tale between 2 women who are polar opposites yet their desires grew and they form a romantic bond. What MADELINE delivered onscreen was honest and compelling, proving how stirring of an actress she is…:)
We certainly didn’t mind seeing this beauty in lingerie as her wholesome character Amy and bad girl Rachel (played by Ruth Reynolds) are so often found happily between the sheets. But “The Guest House” would be nothing without a storyteller and MADELINE does amazingly well to inhabit the innocence of her character who is in the throes of passion. With several projects in the pipeline and expectation that she’s about to sizzle the green carpet at “Dances With Films, MADELINE could be a hot prospect.
Watch out for my interview with the lovely Miss Madeline Merritt coming up soon!

It had to be a foxy blonde kicking off the Special Features I’m doing on Hotties gracing this week’s Toronto Film Festival 2011 and LUSIA STRUS is one comely lady indeed. She’s starring in the heartbreaking love story “Restless” (screens September 8th) as Rachel Cotton, one of the sisters of Annabel Cotton (Mia Wasikowska) whose romance with a boy is doomed from the start due to her tragic illness. An actress of the stage and film as well as a writer, LUSIA is proficient at depicting a host of characters with unique accents and splendidly with that husky, vampy voice of hers. Best remembered alongside Adam Sandler in “50 First Dates” as Alexa, the eccentric Russian animal handler. As you can see LUSIA is gorgeous but she incredibly invested into a more unappealing form to deliver first-rate hilarity. I urge you to watch her in the web series “Jack In A Box” (see clip above) where she combines an imposing sauciness with an amusingly wacky spirit. Wouldn’t you want to have your head buried in her boobs too…hehe.
LUSIA has appeared in many independent films (Stir of Echoes come to mind) and the TV shows such as “Early Edition”. Her fans view her as a vivid storyteller and over the years has made it an art at playing unconventional women tickling our funny bones in the process. She once stated, “I always wanted attention, and I realized I could make people laugh”…That she has achieved splendidly! Commuting regularly between New York and LA, as a consequence of her work on theatrical productions, it’s amazing that LUSIA finds time to connect with her many supporters including me. After her stint on Gus Van Sant’s “Restless”, expect the flurry of admiration to flow.
