JOSEPHINE DECKER has an understated charm that will strike a chord with any film buff. Having chatted with her on Facebook, her soft, personable facets came to the fore making my day as she would many of her fans. She may have suggested to start this feature in May but since JOSEPHINE is on the radar at SXSW 2013 this week, I’m jumping the gun to spotlight her. This willowy cutie is appearing in the highly anticipated “Loves Her Gun”, a darkly romantic drama of a young woman’s transformation from victim to fighter via her use of weapons. The whole cast has been called fascinatingly organic and there lies the everlasting appeal of indie talents such as JOSEPHINE. She strives for the untypical and the JOSEPHINE DECKER OFFICIAL SITE lists her catalogue of exceptional work in all forms of entertainment.
She of course first caught the eye as the girl on Craigslist in Sundance favorite “Uncle Kent”, a drama where relationships are either helped or hindered by tech. JOSEPHINE was a director at that time and together with leading lady Jennifer Prediger had minimal acting experience. Both have seen their career blossomed after venturing into the film world so kudos to their versatility. JOSEPHINE has even delved into horror as an amateur ghost hunter in “Saturday Morning Massacre, along the way surprising many a viewer with a daringly long sex scene. “Autoerotic” is yet another gem where she gets into a little lesbian romp with a pregnant woman no less. Her bold choices will ensure JOSEPHINE gets a fair bit of attention in what will be a riveting journey on the big screen.

SXSW 2013 Fever is happening this week and KENDRA WALDMAN is the enchanting brunette everyone will have eyes for at the vibrant festival. She is heading down to Austin Texas for the premiere of her feature “Reality Show” this weekend which means more than ample time to become acquainted with the mesmerizing sweetness of KENDRA. She plays Jenna, a demanding network TV decision maker who is insistent that the pitches that go through her and her team are riveting enough. Getting on the nerves of the leading man Mickey Wagner (Adam Rifkin, writer and director of “Reality Show”) by being a constant irritant is all in a day’s work and KENDRA is in her element as the bossy, very driven Jenna. The trailer (above) shows glimpses of the lovely KENDRA as Jenna being rather pushy and I can’t wait to see fireworks ignite especially since her character is quite the bitch. Reminiscent of “The Truman Show”, where the privacy in your backyard is compromised for the sake of high ratings, “Reality Show” is a must-see for its sartorial take on the pervasive mindlessness of reality shows.
KENDRA will also be seen in the upcoming “Gutshot Straight” which stars George Eads from “CSI” and Annalyn McCord of “90210″ fame. Clearly from her photos, KENDRA does have a warm smile that gives her a fascinating edge and from head to toe, she’s glowing…:) We’ll be hearing more about this cutie in the days ahead.

One of the most bewitching actresses to hit the independent scene, STEPHANIE RHODES is a leading lady who can whipped up quite an infatuation. She has a luminous glow and that glamorous edge that we so often see on the red carpet. In fact the camera loves her and from my observations, STEPHANIE does have an endearing foxiness similar to say Kylie Minogue…:) While Kylie is Australian, STEPHANIE hails from Texas and is regarded as an emerging starlet from the great state. It was her raw and emotional performance in “Hold” which showcased her abilities to bring a character completely to life. As the battered women Laura Marsh in “Hold”, she was in her element depicting the emotional torment of circumstances beyond her control. It’s about owning the role and this she achieved so amazingly. STEPHANIE may have been in a flashback scene as a camp counselor from “Friday the 13th” 2009 remake but her upcoming projects are going to be mighty interesting. From “Phobia”, a horror flick set in 1885 about a mental patient claiming to be a vampire to the comedy romance “Paul and The Hooker”, this stunning blonde is peaking at the most opportune of times.

Add the fact that she kicks serious ass in the film “ZOMBEX” and we can’t wait to watch her be a scene-stealer. As the zombie killing machine Katy-Ann in “Zombex”, she’s the bane of those pesky brain eaters of the movie as she stars alongside horror greats Malcolm McDowell and Sid Haig. Remember to catch her at the Texas Frightmare Weekend this saturday @ 3pm if you’re in Dallas Texas where she’ll be promoting her film. A while back she was a go-go girl in a music video by Captain Clegg & The Night Creatures and she did some titillating dance sequences.
An accomplished model, EMILY’s work on print is equally sizzling with her toned body the centre piece of her sensuality. Just in time for summer you say and we all know how gals from Austin, Texas can generate quite the admiration during the hot months ahead. In the upcoming dark thriller “The Sinner”, she’s an agent of a mysterious group tasked to hunt down a vigilante. She has also appeared on the small screen, guest starring in shows such as “In Plain Sight” and “The Lying Game”. With her being such a dazzler, she’ll be fascinating us for quite some time…:)

Actresses in Grindhouse films are often regarded as an addiction and OLIVIA LACROIX will soon rank as one of the hottest. As one of the stars of the exploitation film “Dear God No!”, her role as Evelyn Marco is regarded as being one of the creepiest. She does wear some freaky makeup in the film that’s brimming with Bikers, Strippers and even a Psychotic Bigfoot. There’s also plenty of limb removal to satiate gorehounds and OLIVIA will probably have a sinister say in proceedings. Let’s just say as Mrs Marco, she does indeed return from the grave! Luckily I’ve managed to connect with her online and personally I can’t wait to see her macabre performance.

With her stunning green eyes and kissable lips, let’s hope horror fans get a taste of the lovely OLIVIA in even more features.
