With Cannes 2013 only days away, the focus is on emerging women of the screen and VELINDA GODFREY is someone we’ll be adoring soon enough. Whether in France or the world over, she’ll be celebrated as her film “Adonis” is screening at the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at this year’s Cannes! With its innovative use of green-screen, we’re taken into a colorful toy world with the premise of cuteness by way of Adonis the dog who turns into the center of attraction. The other enchanter of the short film is of course VELINDA who plays JENNI and as the director David Dibble himself readily admits she’s a honey; ‘Every Girl Here Is Beautiful’ being the effusive words by David which is a clear reference to the captivating VELINDA. There’s also Ernie Hudson adding comic flavor to this most intriguing of stories.

It’ll be interesting to know how her character will evolve and the trailer (above) already raises much intrigue! Tackling the dual roles of twins, one an addict on the run, the other a wealthy socialite with a dark secret is utterly intriguing! There’ll be plenty twists and turns once the season gets underway as Sarah is on top form yet again. It’s as though Sarah never went away!

Throw in Heroes-like abilities, post-Twilight love triangle and a girl who is immortal until her 9 lives are exhausted; It’s a recipe for fascinating viewing every week and don’t forget Chloe has a poison kiss!
