She starred as Lady Anne Clifford in the series “The Tudors” and this luscious brunette has been dazzling us ever since. There’s something about a lady in those period costumes and MYIA has those blue-eyes to leave you swooning. She has 5 projects in the pipeline including two horrors as well as an indie and is primed to be an action starlet with her training extensively in stunt work. We’ll be hearing a lot more of her this 2012!

Leslie Murphy

An amazing debut for this Irish-American actress in the amazing drama “White Irish Drinkers” prove how much of a talent she is. It is appropriate we give cheers to Leslie for not only charming us as the vivacious romantic interest Shauna but for partaking in a smokin’ hot sex scene. She made the role her own and displayed why she has a bright future ahead. Her transition from theatre to the big screen has been one of sheer wonder.

Rising Starlet: Dana DeLorenzo

 alt=  alt=

To remember singer extraodinaire Amy Winehouse, it is poignantly essential to feature attractive DANA DELORENZO who cites Amy as being a heavy influence on her as an entertainer. DANA is of course the lead vocalist for tribute band HOUSE OF WINEHOUSE who stayed true to the spirit of Amy, the recently deceased artist with the signature beehive do and sultry bluesy vocals. In DANA’s words, Amy enriched her life and those of many others worldwide. By not conforming to the forced machination into a pop idol purported so frequently by the music industry, Amy charted her way to success as a one-of-a-kind performer. She was unique in molding her own image and for all her flaws, I rather remember Amy for indelibly changing the music landscape on her own terms. What DANA and her tribute band are doing is amazing, honoring the life of Amy Winehouse as a stirringly talented musician and DANA can certainly rock it! By the way, DANA is a whiz at Celebrity Impressions delightfully impersonating Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and even the ditzy Kim Kardashian….she had me tickled pink! Don’t miss the Chelsea Handler and Sarah Silverman caustic war of words skit with Liza Minnelli putting in her hilarious two cents worth in the clip (above). She captured the essence of each one with excellence. HEY! Give this girl her very own comedy sketch show like now!

DANA is also an accomplished stage and indie actress, most recently seen alongside horror icon Robert Englund in “The Mole Man Of Belmont Avenue” which had its share of laughs and scares. Her character Stoner Molly involved being dressed as a creepy clown and looking all psycho! Adept at different incarnations onscreen as well as multiple accents, this beauty with the Italian heritage has played everything from a Latina sidekick to a scandalous stripper. She’s born to perform and while DANA is known for being strikingly remarkable in her posh, often cussing Amy Winehouse impersonation, she stands on her own merit as a dramatic actress.

Seri De Young in “Laid To Rest”

 alt=

Seri De Young is a terrific screamer as she asserted so potently in the gripping slasher “Laid To Rest”. It’s unfortunate that she’s not returning in the sequel “Chromeskull” but nonetheless, the attractive blonde is a serious head turner. Cute as a button with an unflappable appeal, falling for her would be as easy as 1-2-3. The independent scene has its share of starlets who are more than capable of entertaining viewers and Seri is most assuredly heading in the right direction.

Hot Actress #469 – Kyoko Okazaki: Indie Princess

 alt=  alt=

First off I would like to pray for the victims of the Sendai Tsunami that has devastated the Japanese people and left a telling reminder of how life can never be taken for granted. Hence, I feel wholly blessed to be alive and have the golden opportunity to write about my greatest passion, global actresses whom i admire so. Therefore this tribute today goes out to rising starlet KYOKO OKAZAKI, her family who are safe back home in Japan and all Japanese citizens who are deeply affected by the sudden tragedy. As you know I’m all about optimism and just like me KYOKO is full of positivity. Born and raised in Okayama, she uprooted to the US and became noted for playing a tomboy who dresses in male clothing to avoid detection from the Yakuza in the Los Angeles play Utsutsu. Found out that ‘Utsutsu’ means reality and thus we can’t change who we are, as I think is being implied by the theatrical production. After being praised for her acting on stage, KYOKO has segued excellently into the independent scene with roles in a number of films.

With her splendidly infectious smile, KYOKO’s natural poise is pronouncedly easy to adore. Be sure to check her out in the upbeat dramedy “Mouse Ward” as well as the upcoming short “The Curse Of The Apple” as its leading lady. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw her on the cast list for serial killer thriller “Luster” and I’m crossing my fingers she survives till the end of the movie! I’m very fond of bubbly young actresses and there’s plenty of cheer in the corner of Miss KYOKO OKAZAKI. She’s so affable as I’ve found out chatting with her on FACEBOOK; Her likability certainly puts her in good stead to be a breakout star…Start Watching Her!

Hot Actress #413 & #414 – Julie Mintz & Libby Mintz:Blonde Bombshells

 alt=  alt=
 alt=  alt=

One is a fabulous entertainer with an artistic edge; The other is a rising starlet who has appeared in two popular teen flicks and together they are the lusciously swoon-worthy JULIE and LIBBY MINTZ. I decided to feature the lovely MINTZ sisters today as i was amazed by the bond they share especially during these festive period of celebration and remembrance for the year. The closeness they have for each other can be seen in the tribute song JULIE composed for her sister Libby (above), ever so touching and poignant.

Here’s the skinny on JULIE MINTZ: There’s a whole lot of country in this hottie and you can hear the influences in her folk/acoustic musical style; I affirm her voice is amazing and has been contributing songs in the films and TV Shows she’s appeared in. Currently on the hit web series called ‘OUT TO LUNCH’ together with fellow performer Kathrin Smirke, she’s fashioning herself into quite the digital vixen. Enjoy watching the pair tackle a number of thorny situations; Don’t miss the “Pink Toilet Paper” episode (above) as it’s hilarious and an eye-opening look into what happens when desperation gets the best of us! JULIE projects a serenity that’s fetching and her warmth makes it such a pleasure to follow her on screen work.

Here’s the skinny on LIBBY MINTZ: She may have played the sorority sister minion who does the dirty work in the Amanda Bynes comedy ‘SYDNEY WHITE’ but I’m pretty sure LIBBY is a sweetheart all the way. Her girl next door features quickly draws you in but this girl has a lot of sass and sexiness as she showed in the riotously raunchy ‘Fired Up!’. Just like her sister JULIE has sung her praises in the tune “The Prettiest Face I’ve Ever Seen”, we wouldn’t hesitate to also do the same in expressing our approval. LIBBY has a small role in Sofia Coppola’s ‘SOMEWHERE’, a dramedy about the privileged in Hollywood with some of the most desirable actresses on show. She’s one photogenic cutie we could easily pine for…:)

Tribute to Sexy,Lovable actress Johanna Goldsmith

If you believe in being touched by an Angel on earth, then actress Johanna Goldsmith represents the purest form. A blonde goddess and Texas Hottie, JOHANNA won me over with her endless charms and massive outpouring of kindness; a most treasured friend indeed…:) I’m truly honored to be her fan and now having her as my adopted “Sister” from the US is glorious. Truly an extraodinary woman, JOHANNA gave me a taste of Hollywood via Nicole Kidman no less…something I’ve dreamed about for years. Goodness breeds success and she’s been rewarded with her role alongside Nicole Kidman in an upcoming feature. Aren’t they a gorgeous pair in the photo (above)….I’m elated to have the special autographs from both exquisite performers. My collection of Johanna Goldsmith autographs is now a highly prized possession…..I also own a Friday Night Lights cast photo, a Predators Premiere pic with Johanna next to starlet Elis Avellan and of course several shots of Johanna in a bikini…hehe.

2011 will finally be the year I get to meet lovely JOHANNA in person at the mega event SXSW Festival and for me it will be a life-changing experience. She’s invited me to numerous film premieres and gracing one in my lifetime would be hugely prestigious. JOHANNA is definitely the GOLD standard and I’m eagerly waiting for her to spice it up in ‘JON’, the indie tale of lust and murder….the Guru of Troma Lloyd Kaufman is in it! She’s also a scene stealer in comedies ‘JEFFREY ANDERSON ZOMBIE HUNTER’ and ‘SMALL TIMERS’ coming your way real soon. When Texas is recognized as having the hottest women in the world, it’s more than just a legitimate compliment; it is a testament to how beautiful these Lone Star State beauties are on the inside as well as the outside…:) A Big Thank You To Johanna…you are the shining light of my life.
