It’s breathtaking to see an actress who is so versatile and the very beautiful STEPHANIE ERB has enchanted in everything she’s done. Of course, most will remember her sizzling up “Two and A Half Men” in that memorable tease of a scene involving cleavage and Jon Cryer’s Alan Harper sheepishly uttering Barbara’s Mams…:) While countless are already fond of her thanks to her comedic appeal and effusive allure, many more will love that she takes on roles that has many layers. Check out the STEPHANIE ERB OFFICIAL SITE for more of her amazing work both on TV and film. Thanks to Stephanie, I’ve managed to score this interview with her which is an honor!
1. Tell us what was it like working on hit shows such as True Blood, The Mentalist” and “Bones”
Well, each show has a different style and mood on the set. TRUE BLOOD, as it often involves strange species of creatures, lots of blood, and some very silly crazy stuff, tended to be a fun environment overall. I think Alan Ball, the creator, has a lot to do with that. He is very aware that the show is pure entertainment and there seems to be very little room for diva behavior and everyone is treated very very well. For the wrap gift, the entire cast and crew got bicycles! He totally spoiled us! Great parties too….
THE MENTALIST was a great role and working with director Eric Laneuville was wonderful. I love playing the bad guy, especially because the bad behavior came out of left field. A nurse who kills her patients? And has a clear albeit crazy justification for doing so? Sociopaths are fascinating to play! Also, the tone of THE MENTALIST leaves a bit of room for humor, and I think humor is essential to make a drama work well.
BONES was a very sad and dramatic episode which was saved for airing on Veteran’s Day, as my character’s deceased husband was a very troubled vet in the script. Unfortunately, many on the set had the flu at that time (including ME), but in showbiz, you KEEP MARCHING and it was finished on schedule. The director Francois Velle was lovely and had to stage quite a large funeral scene at LA National Cemetery and it all went rather smoothly. All in all, I have been lucky that most of my TV experiences either offered lovely people, interesting roles, or both!
2. Can you give us a teaser on your upcoming projects and why did those roles appeal to you?
This summer, I am working on three films – - MISCHIEF NIGHT (dir. Richard Schenkman) , DO NOT DUPLICATE (dir. Aaron Mark) and THE LADY KILLERS (dir. Phil Leirness) — as well as a webseries called FLIP AND GLIB. The films are all different sorts of thrillers – ranging from the more bloody sort, to pyschological or comedic. All of them appealed to me because the directors and writers involved I consider quite talented and destined for greatness. Each character is very different too, which I love. One is an amiable aunt, one is a twisted producer lady, and the final one is a completely drugged-up victim sort. I always say my dream career would be something like that of Johnny Depp or Geoffrey Rush or Gary Oldman – playing all sorts of characters and perhaps some that aren’t really in my domain. FLIP AND GLIB is funny. I love comedy and I think the world needs it.. so I was happy to work with director Mark Taylor and go for quirky, often spontaneous and silly humor. Onstage I love comedy too. Nothing makes me happier than making my fellow humans laugh!
3. What’s the funniest incident that has happen on set and what has been your most memorable experience?
That is such a hard question to answer. Funny things happen all the time on sets. I would have to make a list. Watching Jack Black and Kyle Gass improv and goof around on the set of TENACIOUS D and THE PICK OF DESTINY was hilarious (and Amy Adams got a head full of goo by accident in one take, and of course, it made the cut). Messing with Tom Hanks’s pants zipper on NAKED TRUTH long ago on TV was pretty memorable because he was already a huge star and rarely did TV – the audience went bananas! (it can be seen on my website http://www.stephanieerb.com if you find the hidden “head” of Tom Hanks on my reels page). You have to remember also that people are on set for a LONG time and can get very punchy and EVERYTHING seems funny. Alexander Skarsgard from TRUE BLOOD spontaneously burped after sipping blood from an aorta he pulled out of someone’s chest on TRUE BLOOD and at the time it was HILARIOUS. Kind of gross, when you think about it too hard.
My most memorable experience has to be one of my first on-camera jobs. Shooting FEARLESS with Peter Weir and Jeff Bridges was a dream come true. Both of these men were caring, creative artists I had only dreamed of meeting before I was actually working with them (I had put them on a “wish list” when I first moved to LA). Every day was not only a huge learning experience for me, but set the quality bar very high as the work was meticulous and thoughtful and at times, due to the content, harrowing..(some of the shoot involved reenacting a plane crash, and ever since then, I am not able to fly without freaking out at the slightest turbulence). I would love very much to work with both of them again!
4. Who is the actor or actress you most want to work with and why?
Hmm…. I would have to make a list… some I want to work with because I think they are stunning AND funny and talented… Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr fit in that category… also icons like Meryl Streep, Maggie Smith and Judi Dench. So many UK actors I admire, but I also admire the way actors are treated and trained in the UK.
Those who have a flair with language, humor and have quirkiness at their disposal really appeal to me. I have worked extensively in theatre, and I tend to prefer actors who have some chops in that arena as well. There are also tons of directors I would love to work for, but that is another category!
5. What’s Stephanie Erb like away from the camera and what are your passions in life?
I am a mostly down-to-earth person. I love my friends and family and my work. I have just recently fallen in love with dogs and I don’t really know how I lived without having a pup by my side! I love doing live theatre when I can (although it is very time-consuming and very rarely lucrative, the latter being a pity), I love to travel when I can, and adore all sorts of cuisine. I am happiest when acting in some capacity though, as I have tried many other jobs in the past and seem to be only suited for this one! My father was a well-known classical composer and I think I get a lot of my drive to be creative from him. I try to do work for charities whenever asked and as I am able – and I love talking to fans – they are what keeps my industry going! I truly am concerned for the environment and wildlife on this planet (and I include humans in that wildlife category). I just recently got solar panels and wish they were provided to everyone! Compassion for each other and the planet are truly essential.
Thanks for the interview Haren! Lovely to meet you!
One of the biggest stars on television, CHRISTINA MOORE has left an indelible impression thanks to her impressive comedic and dramatic work. Think of every hit show you’ve ever watched and CHRISTINA has regularly given us a reason to be addicted to her. From her early days on MADTV when her uncanny impressions of Christina Aguilera and Shannon Elizabeth got her noticed, she’s gone on to sizzle up “That 70′s Show”, “Hawthorne”, “True Blood” and of course “90210. Her recurring role on “90210″ as Tracy Bennett, the sexy mum of daughter Naomi Bennett (AnnaLynne McCord) has often been described as a Beverly Hills MILF with a mischievous edge. She did return for the new season recently to spice up the episode “Misery Loves Company”. If you needed more proof of her credentials as an entertainment vixen, check out her hot pics on Maxim here:
CHRISTINA was also a scene-stealer opposite Demi Lovato in “Sonny With A Chance”, emulating her qualities as a seasoned comedienne with such whimsical humor. This is one lady who looks so delectable on camera yet enchants us as a humorist with many flavors. Watch out for her in the upcoming dramedy “Sperm Donor” with veteran Alan Thicke. In addition to her being so fascinating on TV as well as film, she’s so down to earth, delighting me and her legion of fans everywhere. A hot property on every medium she’s been in, CHRISTINA is naturally one of the most coveted actresses of our era.
Kate Kelton as the Unforgettable Seductress Martine Mahler in “Bullet In The Face”
Kate Kelton is a regular fixture on the Actress Obsession Blog precisely because she’s magnificently eye-catching. Revolutionizing an array of looks in her career, her latest is one to remember where she’s the femme fatale alongside the funny Eddie Izzard in “Bullet In The Face”. They’re the perfect match, volleying tirades at each other and even gets entangled in fight scenes. There’s elements of Kill Bill and at times larger than life comic book characters, reminding me that Sin City has descended on television. It’s a stroke of genius to have the enticing Kate Kelton on board this amazingly darkly-humored new series.
When it comes to good writing and casting, one can always depend on Mindy Kaling. In her new show “The Mindy Project”, Dana Delorenzo plays a self-assured Jersey Girl who is indifferent to Mindy, always knows where the cool parties and carries a torch for one of the leading man. It’s going to be mighty interesting to see how the relationship between these two gals evolve. Dana of course is well known as an Amy Winehouse impersonator with her tribute band House Of Wineshouse. Now she steps into the spotlight with a role that could turn her into one an emerging starlet everyone should starting talking about.
Her sensational entrance into the world of “True Blood” as Lilith is as breathtaking as it is bloody. Kudos to British actress Jessica Clark for going all the way and full frontal in portraying a majestic force of the Vampire Goddess. As she has shown previously on the TV drama “Chemistry”, she has the confidence to carry a scene that requires nudity and Jessica does indeed have a lithe, alluring figure to enchant a generation of viewers. Just like how she hypnotized the legion of vamps including Bill Compton and Eric Northman, so will this exotic temptress sizzle in the coming months.
She’s already been irresistible once before in the horror flick “My Bloody Valentine” and now Betsy Rue turns everyone on yet again as the costumed vigilante Libra on “Femme Fatales”. This Blonde Bombshell does look super hot in the body-hugging super heroine outfit and Besty can certainly deliver all the right moves. If they are working on choosing the sexiest women list for 2012, Miss Betsy is deserving of a spot on it. Not only is she overwhelmingly saucy, she’s also known as one of the nicest actresses to talk with, proving her desirability on all fronts. We can’t wait to watch her sizzle our world in the near future!
Lindsey Haun in “True Blood”
Her highly anticipated return on Season 5 of “True Blood” is bound to set off another round of adoration. As Hadley Hale, Lindsey embodies the country jailbait persona with verve and thus we are more than willing to plant love bites on her…;) With the release of her debut music video ADDICTED and its riveting imagery, the ravishing blonde is showing yet another dimension to her work as an entertainer.
Stacey Oristano in “Bunheads”
It’s highly likely her scene-stealing moments on the new series “Bunheads” is going to get everyone talking. Playing Truly Stone who is a whiz when it comes to clothes, hers is a role richly peppered with complicated feelings stemming from being resentful of leading lady Michelle (Sutton Foster) and having to bite the bullet by being her friend. One way or another, Stacey is keeping us engrossed as she has so often done…:)
Grace Bannon & Natalie Lander in “The Middle”
Time to hand out awards to these 2 cuties who have dazzled on sitcom “The Middle” this past few months. Grace appears as the extremely religious Ruth who happens to be in the wrestlerette team while Natalie guest-starred as the abrasive cheerleader Debbie. Not only does the two of them have a knack for comedy, both have an everlasting lusciousness we can’t stop raving about.
We can’t seem to get enough of the women on “True Blood” and MELANIE CAMP is a captivating blonde fueling said fascination in yet another sensual episode. All glamored up as Dorothy, a young prostitute in a 1905 flashback encounter, her scene is both erotic and blood-soaked as she’s at the mercy of Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). With those lovely legs of hers, it’s conceivable that a vampire would drain red bodily fluid from the soft, exquisite gams. Fangs or no fangs, arousal come in many forms with the erogenous zones of a lady being highly prized. When you gaze at MELANIE, she does have her own set of desirable assets. Reminiscent of a young Naomi Watts, she’s just as enticing in her own right.
MELANIE’s guest-star spot on such a high profile show could prove to be a stepping stone to bigger roles. From the MELANIE CAMP OFFICIAL SITE, we can gather that she’s busy shooting several indie features. Will this Perth-born blonde bombshell get her big break? Seeing how her talents extend beyond the screen as she’s recently written a romantic comedy, we hope to uncover even more delightful facets of the ravishingly pretty MELANIE.
Why wouldn’t someone as beautiful as MISSY YAGER not be surrounded by handsome men when she has such fetching features. On TV, Missy Yager caught the eye of the very much married Don Draper on the hit series “Mad Men”. Off air, she’s known as the other half of the hunky bartender from “True Blood”, Sam Trammell. Her adorability is a mixture of old-world and modern charms, allowing her to excel as the playful Sarah Beth Carson on “Mad Men” or milking the laughs on her popular web series “Faux Baby”. By the way, she’s a proud mother of twins with Sam Trammell and while she was on hiatus to raise her family, she’s already returned to television with a guest appearance on “Grey’s Anatomy”.
MISSY once remarked she wished dressing went back to the days when men looked like men and women looked like women alluding to the colorful era of the 1960s. While there’s no turning back the clock, seeing women in garter belts and pencil skirts do rank as being a bona fide tease. From her various red-carpet pics where she’s wearing an assortment of stylish dresses, it can be said MISSY does have a pretty glow about her. Some may have heard that she recently worked on the star-studded hit comedy “Friends With Kids” as a producer. Likewise many hope she returns to great form to bewitch us on the big and small screens.
With the very recent DVD release of “Mutilation Man”, all eyes are sure to be directed on the slasher’s beguiling leading lady SABRINA CARMICHAEL. Aside from her intense sex scene which occurs fairly early in the movie, the title of the flick is a giveaway on the torturous ordeal lying ahead. As you will find out, SABRINA’s luminously gorgeous face is not spared the excruciating torment carried out by a masked man out for revenge. This may be an indie but the reveal at the end is well worth the wait! You do cringe when somebody as pretty as SABRINA is subjected to such pain and we’re left wishing it never happens to us or anyone close we know. SABRINA has also done spots on “Community” and “True Blood” enriching her experiences as an actress primarily because she got to hang out with Chevy Chase all day long. How cool is that! She’s also in the throes of modeling although her focus has now leaned to the realm of acting, preferring its intimacy and deriving a sense of fulfillment.
Having read her tweets @MsSabrinaEileen, I can gather that she has a wicked sense of humor. A woman with sass always piques our interest and she’s incredibly delectable too. Check SABRINA channeling elegance at her MODEL MAYHEM PAGE. What stands out is her spirit and even though her stint on “Community” didn’t lead to something bigger, she’s still looking forward to the opportunities that so often fall into place. One movie reviewer rates “Mutilation Man” as a film bound to rock your socks off and we’ll discover SABRINA can do likewise.
A flurry of stunning actresses is often met with euphoria and we’re more than obliged to take a liking to the radiant ANNIE LYNNE MELCHOR. As she has once noted before, her meaty stuff happens in the realm of theatre but her transition to television on the erotic anthology “Femme Fatales” is definitely just as tasty. While “Femme Fatales” became synonymous with its gratuitous offerings of skin by some of the most beautiful women in the world (whom I’m stoked to be in contact with!), kudos to ANNIE for bucking the trend by remaining clothed. Not that we need any persuasion to acknowledge her foxiness which was understated as per her role in the supernatural episode “Haunted”, although those exquisitely full lips and piercing sweetness of hers is still a surefire form of captivation. She of course starred as the intrepid Ghost Hunter Susan who resorts to an age-old exorcism ritual to banish a lusty demon residing in her colleague. Watch her scream with gusto and you have to admit that’s something magnetic when women are put into situations of the horrifying kind, especially when they’re appearing as more than just eye candy.
ANNIE was also in Ally Walker’s crime drama “The Protector” as Anna Pastore, an ex-girlfriend of a potential suspect in a murder mystery on the lake who reveals some perturbing details about him during an interrogation. This year, she also got to flirt with the hunky Sam Trammell on Season 4 of “True Blood” as well as being slated to appear in the pilot of “Key and Peele”, Comedy Central’s new sketch show. Early news has her playing a Blaxim Model (Maxim magazine parody perhaps) so will her saucier side emerge this time around? If you can’t wait then take a look around the ANNIE LYNNE MELCHOR OFFICIAL SITE for this darling glows with a pleasing, lovable charm in every one of her photos. No wonder, she’s been offered the ‘Hot Girl’ parts and expect them to grow in stature as her career progresses. A covetable starlet in the making you say….well trust me that’s ANNIE alright!
