SIFF 2011 Hottie Special: German Vixen Jennifer Ulrich

Come May 19th 2011, Seattle International Film Festival will be the epicenter of visual pleasure that will be colorfully stimulating throughout. Certainly we have to pay tribute to the actresses who in varying capacities are ensuring we fans have a mind-blowing good time. Not since “Fright Night” have Vampires been this audaciously seductive and the leading ladies of “We Are The Night” or “Wir sind die Nacht” (in German) should be commended for bringing Sexy Back! JENNIFER ULRICH for one is a sensation as Charlotte, a silent era movie star with looks to kill and a ruthless appetite for blood. JENNIFER has a priceless scene in “We Are The Night” where she pokers her eye with a lighted cigarette…there’s none of the emo posturing or existential thoughts of being the undead….It’s as true to the immoral vampiric nature as you can get amidst a very addictive Eurodance soundscape complete with throbbing beats. Being a Vamp is all about excess and I love how JENNIFER portrays her sultry Charlotte character with both bloodlust abandon and dignified poise. It’s terrific to see a strong female-fronted movie with women driving the story and doing the majority of the onscreen kills. I urge you to watch German Sirens JENNIFER ULRICH, Karoline Herfurth, Nina Hoss & Anna Fischer in one of the most gorily fun movies of the year! I’m half expecting a Hollywood remake to be churned out pretty soon.

It really doesn’t matter where you live in the world or what language you’re conversant with, JENNIFER like so many of her European peers have brilliantly intimated the enthralling cinematic experience we are so fond of. She’s been lauded once before for her intense performance as a teen who rebels against the ideals of a school cult in “The Wave”. Good-natured and with a heady desirability, it would be fascinating to see JENNIFER crossover to the American Market and achieve the kind of popularity relished by German talents say for example Franka Potente. JENNIFER brings a compelling freshness on the film scene and well on her way to success.

Hot Actress #436 – Jennifer Matter: British Vixen

Her performance in ‘DEAD CERT’, the “Lock, Stock & Smoking Barrels” meets “Hammer’s Classic Dracula” Brit flick has JENNIFER MATTER impressively sinking her teeth into the role of the dangerously sexy bloodsucker Tatiana. She imbues her sultry blonde Euro-vamp with a sadistic edge and the predatory instincts of the undead….luckily there’s not one emo-vampire around enabling us to enjoy JENNIFER’s wildly aggressive side in the film. We are all crying out for a modern day temptress of darkness in the mold of Ingrid Pitt and Jennifer could be the one to step up. Not that she’s limiting herself to horror since she’s known for being the female lead of the tense indie ‘PAINTBALL’ where the fun and games turned deadly in a hurry and will also appear in ‘STALKER’, the compelling remake of 1976 thriller ‘EXPOSE’. While the low-budget original dispenses bucket loads of gore and sex, the re-imagining has plenty of hair-raising psychological elements.

Looking every bit drop-dead gorgeous, JENNIFER MATTER is an actress who doesn’t just deliver by the book performances choosing instead to emphasize the varying facets of the character she embodies. Having been part of several intriguing projects, it’s clear that the blonde siren has the bewitching factor that endears herself to audiences. This girl has plenty of BITE that’s undeniably winning us over!

It’s always great to see young actresses get a semblance of prominence and KATERINA MIKAILENKO is primed to steal our hearts…:) Cast alongside big names like Cher, Christina Aguilera and Kristen Bell in ‘BURLESQUE’, rest assured we will be hearing a lot more of this bewitching brunette. I sense she’s on a similar career path much like when MILA KUNIS first started and KATERINA herself could also enjoy the level of success that MILA has accomplished. With the undead a clear winner on television, these are heady times for KATERINA as she’s going to be a series regular on MTV’s DEATH VALLEY about a task force charged with eradicating zombies,vampires and denizens of the dark. Sounds like the rise of another must-watch show! Don’t miss her being sexy and funny along with a good dose of dramatic moments in her most awesome reel (above).
