In “Casting Couch”, KELLY may project a different kind of hotness but she’s dazzling in her own comely way. The laugh-out-loud comedy does have its bevy of stunners (Mayra Leal, Mindy Robinson, Nikki BreAnne Wells and so forth) yet you sense KELLY will be appealing to viewers as her perkiness as casting director Katie is amiably engaging. It’s no surprise that KELLY is part of the cast which has been identified as delightful up and comers. Being cute does have its perks and KELLY will leave us in no doubt of her glowingly sweet demeanor. PAULA GIRODAY is a babe hands down and she’s about to bewitch audiences in “True Heroines”, a fascinating genre bending web series. There’s housewives with extraordinary powers, dazzling burlesque and of course those vintage hair curls which has seen its fair share of fondness. More and more, we’re seeing the popularity of all things retro explode! Perpetuating the swinging 50′s, “True Heroines” is hot on the heels of “Mad Men” as well as “Bomb Girls” and features 3 of the foxiest ladies on the web. PAULA is joined by Jovanna Huguet and Fiona Vroom, all three showcasing their enigmatic grace in such well-crafted roles. It’s nice to see them endowed with super abilities yet having to be subtle about it as they go about their existence as homely women. As Dottie Rodriguez, PAULA is enchanting as a woman of strength who is also blessed with a very cheery disposition. She also gets to flaunt her marvelous dance moves (check out Episode 3 – “For All We Know”).

Undeniably beautiful with an effusive exotic appeal, PARISA FAKHRI warrants an outpouring of fondness no matter where we spot her. Many will be able to display their affection since she’s actually at SXSW promoting her film “Good Night” which is yet another interesting take on mortality. This tells the shifting of emotions at a birthday party after a revelation of a possible demise from the birthday girl herself. While Parisa has been active on TV, appearing in popular shows such as “Suburgatory”, “Make It Or Break It” and “Castle”, she’s just as admirable on the indie scene as well as on the web. That’s 3 platforms where viewers can appreciate the wonders of the vivacious PARISA. Add to that, she has been the voice behind Bra/Bulla in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT.
Of Iranian descent, Dallas native PARISA has a luminosity about her, what with her olive skin being so fetching. Onscreen, she can be subtle and she can also be engagingly forthright which bodes well for her future ahead in the industry. Count ourselves lucky to see the fantastic women such as PARISA being unveiled to adoring eyes at film festivals around the world and I can only hope this would happen in Asia soon. It’s awesome to highlight actresses doing the film festival rounds and the charismatic BUFFY CHARLET is in line for recognition from fans. Due to the fast-paced fluidity of SXSW 2013, I couldn’t get insider news from BUFFY in time for this article but having connected with her is already amazing in itself. After all, she’s appearing in the riveting thriller “Holy Ghost People” as Liz, the woman who becomes the enigma of the story as the world of Snake-Handlers of Southern Appalachia and those from the outside converge. Having vanished mysteriously, her sister Charlotte decides to infiltrate the religious commune only to discover a darkness she would never see coming. BUFFY re-unites once more with Joe Egender, her co-star from indie comedy “Lurking in Suburbia” and moves into a different territory as opposed to her comedic parts in the past. At this year’s SXSW, we’ve seen Jane Levy of “Suburgatory” fame who moved effortlessly into horror with the R-rated “Evil Dead” and the genre bending continues with the talented BUFFY.
“The Buffies” is her successful web series with fellow actress Caroline “Buffy” Rich who has sizzled up this blog before. Their “Cum-N-Go” skit on the wonders of having sperm readily available without the need for men is hilarious so check the video out (above). BUFFY is endearingly good when it comes to the funnier side of life and with her venturing into contrasting roles, this could be the time for her big break.

A woman of many talents, JULIA GROB has the charm bordering on sincerity we will find most engaging. When the great man himself Kevin Spacey named JULIA as one of 25 emerging theater artists, it’s resonates that’s she’s someone who deserves recognition. She is the creative producer of the comedic web series “East WillyB” which at its core is a multi-layered illustrations of the American Latino community. Julia has chosen to keep it heartfelt, a true reflection of the experiences of Latinos in Brooklyn. This year, you’ll be able to see her returning as the brash Ceci Rivera in the Second Season of “East WillyB”. The outspoken character she plays is a Mexican-Cuban bar waitress with a take no prisoners exterior and might I say she’s a joy to watch. It’s also nice to know her as one of the stars of the film “Calloused Hands” which is screening at the Miami International Film Festival 2013. This is surely the avenue for JULIA to gain even more exposure for the impeccable work she’s done over the years.

On the episode “Heat”, she does sport a bloodied face as she gets interrogated by Ben McKenzie on the returning police drama many have called ruthlessly hard-hitting! She did however had fun on the set giving a nod to the director who in her opinion was truly a dream to work with. At ITVFest 2012, she was nominated for Best Actress for the Drama “Battery Pack” starring as a corrupt cop, skillfully traversing the emotional baggage as a principal in the web series. ANNUNZIATA’s adaptability to appear as varying personas from evil witch to a female boxer has helped in establishing her as an award-winning actress.
