Playing Veronica, the smart, sassy neighbor of William H Macy’s incompetent alcoholic Frank Gallagher, SHANOLA HAMPTON brings the multi-dimensional character to life. Even at the lowest of times, Veronica maintains that glimmer of positivity, let’s just say that she keeps the Gallagher household sane! With Veronica’s penchant for ironing in the nude in what is one of the sauciest scenes on TV right now, SHANOLA has infused a much more believable intimacy into her character; She does of course partake in some steamy love scenes as does EMMY ROSSUM who plays wildly emotional Fiona Gallagher. These two starlets are possibly the most talked about actresses on TV at the moment and it’s fabulous to have SHANOLA featured today..you can say I’m striking while the iron is hot…hehe.
She may already be plastered on billboards and ads but SHANOLA is every bit as humble as she was before the success of “SHAMELESS”. I like that her fun spirit extends beyond the show and she’s fabulously sexy and vivacious in person. I rank her alongside Rutina Wesley of ‘TRUE BLOOD’ fame and resident vixen Gugu Mbatha-Raw from the short-lived ‘UNDERCOVERS’ as African-American personalities who have become fashionable in such a short time. With her signature dreadlocks, she definitely aims to stand out as she continues to charm us with absorbingly raw performances.
