Texas Frightmare Weekend Hottie: Saucy Vixen Emily Kaye

 alt=  alt=

A statuesque beauty at 5″11′ with glorious hair, EMILY KAYE would command devotion from many a male fan. Add the fact that she kicks serious ass in the film “ZOMBEX” and we can’t wait to watch her be a scene-stealer. As the zombie killing machine Katy-Ann in “Zombex”, she’s the bane of those pesky brain eaters of the movie as she stars alongside horror greats Malcolm McDowell and Sid Haig. Remember to catch her at the Texas Frightmare Weekend this saturday @ 3pm if you’re in Dallas Texas where she’ll be promoting her film. A while back she was a go-go girl in a music video by Captain Clegg & The Night Creatures and she did some titillating dance sequences.

An accomplished model, EMILY’s work on print is equally sizzling with her toned body the centre piece of her sensuality. Just in time for summer you say and we all know how gals from Austin, Texas can generate quite the admiration during the hot months ahead. In the upcoming dark thriller “The Sinner”, she’s an agent of a mysterious group tasked to hunt down a vigilante. She has also appeared on the small screen, guest starring in shows such as “In Plain Sight” and “The Lying Game”. With her being such a dazzler, she’ll be fascinating us for quite some time…:)

Sexy Siren: Christy Carlson Romano

 alt=  alt=

She’s the Disney Princess who steamed up the screens late 2010 and the transformation of CHRISTY CARLSON ROMANO into an enchantress has been met with fervent approval. Having read how her devoted fan base looks up to her, the measure of her influence can be seen in how she’s touched the masses regardless of their age groups. More recently, she has plumb for the grittier stuff such as a young woman entering into a suicide pact with her friend and documenting their downward spiral via video in “Suicide Dolls”. Additionally, who can forget her steamy exposure in “Mirrors 2″ (the celebrated bath scene of a horror flick) followed by one of the goriest deaths enacted onscreen at the hands of her character’s evil reflection. Her nude scene received a rapturous upshot and shedding her good girl image is the kind of professionalism she believes in. According to an interview she gave, it is her desire to do whatever she wants with her body, not a case of seeking attention at all and this frankness she exemplifies is most refreshing.

Before you can say “The Walking Dead”, CHRISTY will put her Scream Queen shoes on and try to survive hordes of zombies in the upcoming “The Infected”. Just when we thought we knew everything under the sun, this film addresses another twist on the origins of your typical zombie apocalypse! She may have on her plate some rather grim roles but there’s one constant throughout and that’s her mesmeric pull. From teen idol to vamp and her emergence in a more adult-oriented capacity, the tall and lissome CHRISTY maintains her undying vestige of appeal. She’s always had the Star Quality and now we’ve seeing it magnified.

Scream Queen: Donna Hamblin

 alt=  alt=

It’s sheer bliss when Blood and Babes come together so when actress DONNA HAMBLIN gets covered in crimson red, viewers are assured a visual feast. She has a classic old-world beauty offering a distinguishing allure that’s a standout in the annals of indie horror. She sweetens the deal even more with her genial personality, a big plus for her ever increasing worldwide fanbase. This Halloween, grab the DVD of her chilling film “Sinister” that promises the psychological spooks to make everyone jump. There’s plenty of voodoo spell casting, murderous zombies and DONNA in the lead role as EMILY who is afflicted with a Hex that threatens to envelop her life. Just as she kept us transfixed by portraying an affecting dualism in the 2008 thriller “At The House Of Madness”, DONNA intrigues by accentuating her character’s cerebral terror with ease in “Sinister”. She knows how to keep everything on a knife edge onscreen…might that have something to do with her background as an accomplished fencer!

More attuned to human complexities, it’s no surprise she opts for character work in the various guises she’s encompassed on film with many pointing our her eyes as being expressively engaging. She’s has already starred with Tura Satana, Brinke Stevens and Felissa Rose who have left their enviable mark as luminaries of horror over the years. Could DONNA be the genre’s next thriving starlet…she’s certainly been pleasingly captivating to warrant a slew of admirers for years to come.

Canadian Vixen: Jordan Hayes

 alt=  alt=

The doe-eyed innocence of Jordan Hayes is proving to be a big draw and this hottie from Montreal, Quebec could yet be the next breakout star. You may have seen her on TV guest-starring in hit shows such as “Nikita” and “Being Erica yet it’s the independent scene that we find her making a splash. She has affirmed that her most rewarding project thus far has been the indie film “Exit Humanity” that stars Dee Wallace, queen of screams from “The Howling” and genre vet Bill Moseley. Come October 16th when “Exit Humanity” makes its US premiere of at Screamfest, there’s going to a long line of people making their way to LA to catch it. Positive reviews regaling this moody zombie western should generate heightened interest as the movie’s blend of the horrors during the Civil war and those of the flesh-eating kind set up for some riveting stuff. Jordan is quickly becoming an exciting prospect in horror movies that terrify on a psychological scale having shone in “Hidden 3D” earlier this year. She played Vicky, the architect of a restoration crew who set out to investigate a building called “The Sanctuary” but soon discover it’s no safe haven, instead falling prey to unearthly events. There’s a silky, gracefulness to what she does onscreen which is a term of endearment for any viewer.

Don’t forget when everyone gets an eyeful of JORDAN in the upcoming “House at the End of the Street” which so happens stars “It Girl” Jennifer Lawrence and Elisabeth Shue, there’s bound to be an escalation of buzz encircling her. She does have a precocious talent and an appetizing delicateness that’s reminiscent of someone like Emmy Rossum and we would not be the least surprise if JORDAN’s star burns just as bright. An effervescent and natural beauty, her genteel features is the very reason we’ll be captivated for the long haul.

Sexiest Actresses At Film4 FrightFest 2011

Natalie Victoria in “Deadheads”

 alt=

As you might already now Natalie Victoria is in London for the screening for her movie “Deadheads” at this year’s Frightfest. They say love is undying and that’s how much her character Ellie means to one of the leading men (Mike played by Michael McKiddy) on this kick-ass zombie comedy…even after zombiefication, she’s still his infatuation! Oh and it’s not all puppy love as Natalie does get to rip hearts out in her second role as a vicious Zombie Bride. Get her on Season 2 of “The Walking Dead”…let’s perk up the melodrama with Miss Natalie’s winning smile as we already know she has bite…:) As sweet as nectar with a bombshell appeal, everyone should develop an addiction for Natalie in a hurry.

Shanley Caswell & Spencer Locke in “Detention”

 alt=  alt=

Why do i adore Shanley Caswell? Because she granted me an Exclusive Interview as soon as I contacted her via Facebook and her accommodating personality is to be treasured. Why do i adore Spencer Locke? Because she has an irrepressible cuteness that’s on par with Glee’s Dianna Agron. Together they may be the opposite spectra of youthful exuberance (or is it angst) yet the delectable duo shines in the slasher “Detention” that’s been called everything from visually trippy horror to a surge of teen culture and dark humor. While Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy were icons of the 80s thanks to The Breakfast Club which ranks as influential to certain scenes in “Detention”, Shanley and Spencer themselves are set to be role models for their generation.

Maya Hazen & Maria Olsen in “Vile”

 alt=  alt=

A film that’s inspired by “Hostel”…that’s the premise of “Vile”, a shocker that has a group of people taken by force and subjected to brutal experiments Nazi style! You would know that this very blog was borne out of my fascination with all things gorno and this has two ladies who have been exceptionally active on the horror scene. At the very start of the trailer (above), one of the hardest working women in horror Maria Olsen forebodes of the terror to come in a British accent no less. She’s an extraodinary character actress able to embody a diverse number of faces horror has ever seen. Maya Hazen is a Japanese American cutie with the charisma to spice up any feature most notably in the US remake of “Shutter”.

Sara Paxton in “The Innkeepers”

 alt=

Now here’s a busy actress that’s rapidly making a name for herself in the horror/thriller genre. Sara Paxton could certainly be the one to challenge Danielle Harris for the throne of prevalently dynamic Horror Princess…something we might never have expected from her seeing how she previously starred in much light-hearted fare such as a mermaid in Aquamarine. An intense turn as a rape victim in “The Last House On The Left” remake has lead to enthralling upcoming roles in “Shark Night 3D” and “The Innkeepers”. While the former sees her as the sexy bikini-clad eye candy with a tough mental exterior, the latter is all about her ability to illustrate charm under duress amidst the slow-burning eerieness crafted by the expert direction of Ti West.

Melissa George in “A Lonely Place To Die”

 alt=

Melissa George and her peers such as Anna Torv, Yvonne Strahovski, Rachael Taylor,etc. have been captivating our hearts for a number of years, showing both guile and exquisiteness we’ve come to covet. Add pioneering hotties such as Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts as well as a wave of new sweethearts such as Rachel Carpani (the lead of new show “Against The Wall”) and it’s clear the Aussie Starlet Invasion into Hollywood is at a high. Certainly Melissa George is quite the stunner and surely must have one of the most beautiful lips in the business! Her run of physically demanding roles such as the one in “A Lonely Place To Die” could have her lauded as an action star but she’s just as capable of showing an air of vulnerability in the quieter scenes.

Sexy Siren: Caity Lotz

 alt=
 alt=  alt=

By coincidence or not, it seems like a blonde fest so far this week and I’m continuing in the same vein with CAITY LOTZ who has already left men drooling with her tempting Esquire shoot. Be it the sly nipple exposure or the flash of her pert derrière, CAITY has the assets to sizzle! She’s also starring in the upcoming MTV Series “Death Valley” as Kirsten Landry, an excitable Undead Task Force agent and having watched the trailer, she amazed me right from the start with the astounding spinning kick! Beware Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies as you get schooled by the Princess of Hard Knocks. Check out the video (above) of CAITY teaching us how to defend against them pesky Undead horde. This girl can do some seriously high impact stunts including parkour…huge props to her athleticism and flexibility she’s honed through the years as a dancer. After all, she has toured with mega star Lady Gaga and bust those dance moves on the film “Step Up 3D”. Slated to grace the massive 2011 Edition of Comic Con in San Diego, it’s pretty much guaranteed fans will come in droves to the “Death Valley” panel to cast amorous eyes on this blossoming TV Hottie. Have you seen the pic of CAITY pursing her lips…downright Sultry! To be able to combine intense physicality and appealing sauciness is breathtaking so much so I would love to see her in “Kick Ass 2″ be it as a supervillain or an ally of Hit Girl/Kick Ass.

Remember her as Stephanie in “Mad Men”, Anna Draper’s niece who despite her desirable status doesn’t subscribe to the norms of society in the 60s, a time when women were objectified. It’s great to see for once Mr Casanova Jon Hamm unable to get his hands on an enchanting lady. Check out the CAITY LOTZ OFFICIAL SITE for her reel containing snippets of her scenes from “Mad Men” as well as Law and Order:LA. She has the gift for drawing out those subtle yet dramatic moments onscreen. In just a short span of time, CAITY has skyrocketed to be quite the coveted actress and her star will only keep rising!

Rising Starlet: Grace Bannon

 alt=  alt=

You have to adore a girl who advocates herself as being DA BOMB and GRACE BANNON is an electric youth in motion! Buzz is steadily brewing for the ingénue with her stint on Disney’s “So Random!” and has an upcoming role on “Sonny With A Chance” lined up. Her transition from stand up to improv sketches has been seamless and with fans loving every minute she was on “So Random!”, she’s been amassing the thumbs up! Did you know they endearingly referred to GRACE as a recurring player….that’s cool in any book…:) In the episode “Mitchel Musso”, she parodied both Reba McEntire and Snookie with distinction. Though I may not be in the teen demographics, GRACE made me laugh with the hilarious over the top yodeling as faux Reba. With such tremendous potential as a comedienne, she’s someone the kids and tweens will find mighty appealing. Take a shine to GRACE as her humbleness is commendable having once remarked in an interview: “I think the most important thing is remembering that everyone is important”. Oh plus she answers comments and posts from virtually all her Facebook Fans…that’s exceptional! Check out more news and reels of this amazing cutie at the GRACE BANNON ROCKS SITE.

Stumbling on the book trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls, I noticed Grace as one of the Bennet Girls preparing to face the Zombie Invasion. In the very entertaining clip (above), she sure twirled the staff like a pro before joining her sisters in dishing out comeuppance on the reanimated horde. With comedy being her calling, it hasn’t stop Grace from appearing on TV Shows and features where she can been seen in soon to be released family drama “The Assignment”. If you visit her site and viewed her reel, there’s a scene from the film of Grace in an emotive moment. This is one sprightly girl with the flair for the funny and the wholesome factor to delight.

LA Film Fest Hottie Special 2011: Indie Princess Suziey Block

 alt=  alt=

There may be only 3 days worth of this year’s LA Film Fest left but the event is striving to save its best for last. I’m referring to the horror flick “Entrance” that’s all the rage, even usurping bland “Green Lantern” and its cardboard villains. Guess the big boys have to make way for this indie gem; The subtle tone of its fantastic trailer(above) is mind bogglingly mysterious opting for the resonating impact of the aural kind. Behind every great film is of course a great woman and I’m referring to SUZIEY BLOCK who headlines as a hipster yearning to leave LA but finds it’s easier said than done! In SUZIEY, you have a performer who has an impeccable ability to make viewers want to invest in the person behind the story. “Entrance” sees her essaying a true-to-life character with hopes and fears that ultimately leads her down a road of paranoia she can’t extract herself out of!! I’m expecting by the end of the movie, we’ll all be blown away…:) Come July 24th you know where you should be…at the premiere of “ENTRANCE” to catch a glimpse of SUZIEY. She’s already dazzled in angelic white on opening night at the LA Film Fest and she’ll surely do so once more on the red carpet. There’s her magnetic charisma that speedily grows on you which would easily ensure a growing list of ardent fans.

As the principal in a duo of upcoming horror flicks “Where Is Amy Pressman” and “American Mummy” SUZIEY is fashioning herself as quite the enigma. The first feature is a documentary-style retelling of a road-trip gone wrong while the latter looks to reinvent the wheel when it comes to feeding our craze for Zombies. Just saw SUZIEY covered in blood from head to toe in a First Look photo of “Wonder Valley”, a take on the popular ‘Cannibals Hunting Vacationers’ sub-genre that introduces a huge twist. Sounds like SUZIEY is establishing herself as a rapidly burgeoning Scream Queen in addition to her standing as an indie and festival darling. That’s triple the reasons and three times the visual pleasure…more than enough to show our appreciation for one of the brightest starlets to hit the independent scene.
