Our children and youth do indeed play a big part in entertainment as discovery shows such as “Hi-5” and Kid-Lite fare such as “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” continue to amass a huge global following. Enter the Nick Jr musical TV Show “The Fresh Beat Band” that has taken the world by storm by incorporating music as part of the solution in solving problems….a mighty fascinating premise indeed! Seeing how popular “The Fresh Beat Band” is and the buzz directed at its cast including Tara Perry who plays Marina (previously essayed by Shayna Rose), I’m jumping on the bandwagon. Since taking over the colorful drum set, glowing reviews have flowed in for Tara as she takes over the reins of the quirky, affable red-haired drummer. Tara herself is so lovable it’s infectious…:)

If you must know, Holland Roden is not just the only Ravishing Redhead on Beacon Hills High School in MTV’s Teen Wolf. Near the end of episode 4 “Magic Bullet”, we get a quick glance at alluring Desiree Hall as Jennifer, a school nurse who is as mysterious as she is special. While that might be a blink and you’ll miss it scene, Desiree is slated to feature in 3 more upcoming episodes. It’s going to be a busy time ahead for this multi-faceted sweetheart as she’s producing/directing her first film as well as being the headliner in the spine-tingling flick “Donner Pass“. An established talent on television and the indie scene, Desiree now has eyes on becoming a creative doyenne. With her captivating looks and her gift to hold the interest of viewers, she’s certainly climbing the ladder of success.

Being Asia myself, I approve of the East Meets West persona, engagingly portrayed by Miss Haviland. A mover and shaker in the industry, you will also find she’s one of the friendliest actresses around who never fails to respond when a fan has a query or two. Besides a sizzling appearance in hot pink no less for the new series “Single Ladies”, she’s about to thrill the online world with the new webseries “Unicorn Plan-It” premiering August 1st, produced and written by her. The more you see Haviland, the more you know she has the X-factor to go far in the business. In addition to her opulent beauty, she has that saucily fun nature that’s becoming highly addictive.

Giving Borat a run for his money, Iris Bahr has fashioned her alter ego, The Russian Madam Svetlana into an endearingly recognizable character. Birthing the ‘St Petersburg House of Discreet Pleasure’ and terms such as ‘Whorehome’, Iris has indeed touched our pleasure zone…the funny bone that is…:) Living up to her reputation as a comedienne built upon stints on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “The Kind Of Queens”, she’s now the bona fide star of her very own show “Svetlana”. From its humble beginnings on the web, Season 2 is now a fully-fledged TV Series, sheer proof of its marketability. Iris does dabble in horror (remember her as the director who gets dismembered by cultists in “The Last Exorcism”), it is her strength in making us laugh that positions her as being so sought after.
