With her soft features and noticeably likable persona, Jessica Cummings could soon be well received by viewers. Catch her in the fascinating story “Astraea” which is screening at Cinequest 2015 this week and the next. The isolation and trepidation often seen in a post-apocalyptic setting give rise to great drama and Jessica gives us a multi-faceted performance as Callie who encounters the young girl Astraea who has special powers. As survivors in a desolate world, their chance meeting starts off benevolently until complications arise when there’s a budding romance between her brother and Callie. Their place in time is no paradise but there’s certainly trouble brewing!
For those who have their interest piqued, she’s so kindly included the screening times right here:
– Friday, Feb 27 @ 6:45pm
– Sunday, Mar 1 @ 11::30am
– Tuesday, Mar 3 @ 2pm
Jessica is already at Cinequest and it’s the ideal opportunity for those who want to interact with her (how i wish i could have made it there). Although, she’s had positively kind words for my blog so her acknowledgments of praise is something to be very thankful for. Jessica has also been very active on the theater scene having got her big break on Broadway as well as having appearances on television and in several indie films. Jessica has the potential to be a serial charmer and we will be suitably captivated.
