The Women Who Sizzle @ HollyShorts Film Festival 2015

1. Madeline Merritt in “Similitude”


– Known for her beguiling performances on the indie circuit such as in the lesbian romantic drama “The Guest House”, Madeline continues her impressive run in a host of LGBT films.
– She’s every bit as mesmerising in her short film “Similitude” as a woman falling in love and lust with another who share a common bond through their past lives.
– Steadily forging herself in the industry juggling multiple roles in acting, directing, writing and producing, her potential is limitless as she shares her wealth of storytelling.

2. DeDe Drake in “I Love You, Dad”

– Destined to be adored at film festivals, DeDe has a sensual yet approachable allure that’s effortlessly dazzles onscreen.
– Her scene-stealing turn in the dark comedy “The Other Side” made her very much admired and she’s back again to keep viewers thrilled in “I Love You, Dad”.
– She’s a funny woman we want to see more of and she’s fronting the group of upcoming comediennes that has wonderful comic timing as well as the sexy appeal.

3. Monique Carmona & Lindsay Wolf in “Forgive Me”

– Monique and Lindsay are a gorgeous duo who have the innate ability to breathe life into stories that establishes a personal connection with audiences.
– Having already graced Cannes this year, Monique’s character driven short film “Forgive Me” is garnering quite the buzz thanks to her stirring tale of the human condition.
– Her leading lady Lindsay is regarded as an indie gem and she’s an intriguing enigma as Sadi, the mysterious stranger who induces complications in the life of a sunny woman known as Paula.

4. Mandy Moody in “Birthday”


– “Birthday” actress Mandy Moody has already won the Best Actress Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival which points to her blossoming finesse and as a face to watch.
– As the grief-stricken military wife of a mortally wounded Marine, she tugs at our emotional heartstrings from start to end.
– On the back of her guest-starring stint on “Hawaii Five-0”, Mandy is someone we don’t mind as a beauty to behold in any TV show right now.

5. Grace Santos in “Odessa”


– Having graced the opening night where she’s in the feature “Odessa”, her appearance as Estrella, the bold young mum thrown into a chaotic world is thoroughly compelling.
– She’s also the producer of the dramedy “Election Night” starring Peri Gilpin which means there’s double the reason to catch her at the HollyShorts Film Fest.
– Known as the hardest working producer in the West, Grace is an accomplished all rounder who could well hit the big time in the coming months.
