Canadian Vixen: Catherine McNally

We overwhelmingly harbor an innate passion for Canadian thespians and Catherine McNally has the dynamic glow to enthrall audiences. She guest-stars on “Conviction” as the wife of death row inmate Earl (Richard Thomas) who has no interest in helping him. Catherine convincingly captures the scars of her character due to her husband’s infidelity and viewers will love her mean streak. Things aren’t looking good for Hayley Atwell’s Hayes Morrison who has vowed to save Earl from his impending execution. Lauded as a riveting, witty performer, Catherine also possesses the charismatic voice that has its commanding inflection. It’s apt to see her guest-starring as Judge Susan Frey over the course of 2 Season of “Rogue” who at times ruffle the feathers of mid-level DEA agent Harper Deakins (Sarah Carter). Hers is a flawed personality on the show that’s full of black sheeps and Catherine elegantly threads the strife fermenting in her conscience.

The vivacious Catherine has also appeared on some of my favorite shows which include “Murdoch Mysteries, “Reign” and “12 Monkeys”. This festive season, you can also catch her in “Charming Christmas” on the Hallmark Channel playing Cheryl Rossman, the mother of savvy busineswoman Meredith Rossman (Julie Benz). Catherine and Julie make for a great mother-daughter pairing as their chemistry is palpable in its sincerity. An award-winning actress, Catherine has entertained us across film, television, theatre and Broadway garnering praiseworthy reviews. This December don’t miss her as the wise Escalus in “Measure For Measure“. The graceful Catherine is also notable as a well-respected acting coach/instructor. With a string of accolades and achievements, she’s destined for boundless admiration.
