Caroline Aaron has shone on Broadway, film as well as television with her warm sincerity and is set to dazzle at several film festivals in 2017. This versatile character actress stars in “Breakable You” headlined by Holly Hunter and Tony Shalhoub which premieres at the Palm Springs International Film Fest this week. She is a memorable as an enchanting darling of several Woody Allen films, even playing his sister in the acclaimed dark comedy “Crimes and Misdemeanors”. Expect Caroline to similarly display an heartfelt honesty in “Breakable You”.

In 2016, she starred in the much lauded film “Hello, My Name Is Doris” as Val, the best friend of quirky daydreamer Doris (Sally Field) who has fantasies about a hot young art director. At the upcoming Sundance Film Festival starting January 19, do catch her in another highly anticipated comedy called “Bitch” that sees a woman (Marianna Palka, an indie fav on this blog) assuming the guise of a dog after being stressed out by her high pressured life.

Television has certainly been the medium she’s consistently been prominent having appeared on hits such as “Transparent”, “Code Black” and “Life In Pieces”. She recently guest-starred on the comedy series “The Odd Couple” as Christina Goldman, the counselor whose advice is sought after by Oscar (Matthew Perry) and Felix (Thomas Lennon). She not only has to deal with the harebrained grievances of the eponymous odd duo but also has to hear from two more troubled couples much to her annoyance. Viewers will love Caroline’s understated comic flair and you will get to see more of her as in 2017 as she reprises her role as Linda on Season 5 of “Episodes”. With her vivacious presence across multiple platforms, Caroline is going on a successful run that will see her win admirers aplenty.
