Canadian sweetheart Mercedes De La Zerda is a luminous actress who is heading for a spell of affection from viewers in the months ahead. She has a recurring role on “Designated Survivor” as Nadia Espinosa, the cousin of Aaron Shore (Adan Canto), the former White House Chief of Staff under President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland). Hailed for being prodigious, Nadia could well be a promising star of the political arena with Aaron’s help and we will be following her journey in the episodes ahead. Nadia views Aaron as her inspiration for coming to Washington and Mercedes inculcates a fearless ambition in her character that is very much needed in the uncertain world.
While she has this plum role on “Designated Survivor”, the fetching Mercedes is also slated to appear in “War for the Planet of the Apes” which could well garner her a growing adulation. Find out if she’s on the side of the humans or the apes when the film is released. Mercedes has also appeared on “Bates Motel” as the pot-smoking Summer and she’s notable for her work on “Hemlock Grove”. She played the angsty Sophia who is in fact a werewolf and is BFFs with Kaniehtiio Horn’s Destiny Rumancek, the Romani witch. Come September she’ll return to the big screen in “The Solutrean” which is set 20,000 years ago during the last Ice Age. The origins of early caveman or better known as Homo sapiens will be mighty intriguing and I’m sure many would love to see Mercedes bringing that important part of human history to life. She will be in the cast that includes Kodi Smit-McPhee as well as Leonor Varela.
There’s no better moment than now to be immersed in the finery of Canada’s brightest and the beautiful Mercedes is ready to enrapture global audiences.
