Our passion for TV starlets is an undying ember and so will be the love for comedic talents such as Nina Hellman. The women of Netflix series “Wet Hot American Summer” have always been fearlessly upfront in their behaviour and there lies their appeal which is taken up several notches in the upcoming “Wet Hot American Summer: 10 years later”. As Nurse Nancy, Nina has impeccably portrayed her character’s struggles with vaginal dryness and bothersome tampons ensuring moments of hilarity to savour. Transported to 1991, Nina joins the likes of Elizabeth Banks, Marguerite Moreau, Janeane Garofalo, Amy Poehler and even Alyssa Milano as they flash forward to a new decade. Reuniting once more, these former camp misfits whip up more raucous trouble and and the obligatory caustic banter.
Nina has been lauded as being smooth as silk onscreen and her tongue-in-cheek performances on “Wet Hot American Summer” is a big draw. Expect her to be rollicking risible in “Wet Hot American Summer: 10 years later” come August 4th. As she once so concisely described to me, her Nancy will indeed have sex on the brain once more. Do look out for Nina in the new online comedy series about a Brooklyn based aspiring performer (and hypochondriac) Rachel A.K.A ‘Expecto Patron’, who blames her ills on an undiagnosed brain tumour, preferring not to realise her condition. The adoring fervour is steadily picking up steam for the wonderful Nina Hellman.
