TIFF 2017 Spotlight: Meghan Gabruch

TIFF is always a great film festival to cover especially with the wealth of Canadian Screen Sirens on show and this year do keep your adoring eyes trained on Canadian cutie Meghan Gabruch. She has a supporting role as a hostess in the comedy “Brad’s Status” which stars Ben Stiller, Jenna Fischer and Michael Sheen. While we await to watch her emergence on the high profile feature, she’s already a dazzling fixture on television. Being a TV addict myself, it was wonderful to chance upon her guest-starring role in “The Bold Type” available on Freeform and Spark. In this series which takes its inspiration from he life of “Cosmopolitan” editor in chief, Joanna Coles, Meghan most definitely belongs in the fashion circles depicted onscreen.

She plays Noelle, a social butterfly with the brand La Perla who shows Meghann Fahy’s character Sutton Brady the ropes at a high tea. Only the definition of “high” means a lot of the food served contained the hallucinatory pot which Sutton unknowingly and copiously consumes. Well, even a butterfly started out as a caterpillar so it’s obvious her naivety got the better of her. Lucky for her Noelle is stringing her along and Meghan embodies her role with a precise sophistication befitting a socialite.

Having already appeared on the popular show “Being Human”, up next for Meghan is her part on the upcoming TV mini-series called “The Disappearance”. It will be so wonderful to get to see her alongside Camille Sullivan, another favourite Canadian actress of mine who is notable for “Rookie Blue” and “The Man In The High Castle”. Our passion for the allure of Canuck talents is here to stay thanks to the mesmeric facets of Meghan.
