There’s no doubt this year’s AFM is an eclectic edition with multi-talented women such as Kelsey Tucker at the forefront. She is the writer, producer and one of the actors in “The Competition”, a romantic comedy starring Thora Birch and Chris Klein. The film will hit theaters on January 26th and will be available the same day on demand. In what should be a comeback vehicle for Thora, she’s a woman whose jaded with romance and proceeds to start a blog promoting the ‘Pig Theory’, where one can enjoy all love has to offer but only for 6 months. Could her theory be shattered when she is introduced to the perfect man, Calvin (Klein) and a competition to prove infidelity brews between them?
The premise promises to be refreshingly intriguing and in the hands of the effervescent Kelsey Tucker, “The Competition” should be a winner on its release. A budding auteur from the great city of Portland, Kelsey could well be on a rosy run as she forges ahead with radiant verve. It would be a treat if she should appear on shows such as “Portlandia” or “The Librarians”. Exciting times are afoot for the sparkling faces in the industry and we should all be cherishing the lovely Kelsey.
