The Galway Film Fleadh which is full swing in Dublin, Ireland unveils yet another up and coming talent, this time from the British Isles in the entrancing Katie Goldfinch. She’s appearing in the trippy drama which sees a man (Laurie Calvert) resort to using a therapy called lucid dreaming to get the girl of his dreams. His unorthodox romance soon leads him on a dangerous path. At the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Katie was immaculate on the red carpet for the “Lucid” premier and she’s just as enchanting in the film.

She’s already received endearing praise with a famed UK movie review site comparing her presence to heroines that have appeared in “Suspiria” and “Rosemary’s Baby”. With the “Suspiria” remake to be released, Katie would have been a great addition alongside Dakota Johnson. One only has to take a look at the heart-pounding trailer of her latest film “Crucible Of The Vampire” to see her turn as a unyielding yet graceful heroine. This Renaissance that threads on atmospheric terror paralleling Hammer horror is commendable so expect Katie to be a leading lady of future films. Already a producer and presenter, Katie is going to be a bright spark in the industry both in the UK and the US.
