A dazzler of the stage, television and film, MARIA DIZZIA is extremely watchable and seems to have an intimate hold on us. She can be seen in the highly touted show “Orange Is The New Black” as the pregnat best friend Polly of jailbird Piper Chapman played by Taylor Schilling. For good measure, she’s also been in an episode of highly acclaimed series “The Newsroom” which also stars Olivia Munn who recently stopover in Singapore, my country. Let’s hope MARIA does the same some day. As you can see from the interview video above, MARIA has her very own sense of humor and would catch the eye in any feature of the comic variety. Just as bewitching when it comes to the dramatic scenes, she gives life to her characters with such grace, it’s easy to understand why she’s been called a special performer. There’s so much ease with how she handles the aspects of a given character making us itching to see more…:)
It’s also great seeing MARIA alongside indie stalwarts such as Natasha Lyonne and Halley Feiffer in the very quirky “Clutter” about a family’s need to de-clutter or risk losing their home. She’s as engaging here as she did back when she was in “Martha Marcy May Marlene”, the indie film breakthrough for one Elizabeth Olsen. She’s also starring with James Franco in the upcoming drama “True Story” where we are bound to hear a lot about her come 2014. Here is certainly an enchanting talent building a legacy of her own.
